I am very happy with Fix Brothers. They recently completed a major repair and partial redo of my bathroom. The work included replacing a damaged wall, installation of a new bathtub, new shower fixtures and door, replaced damaged pipes, installed new shower tiles, floor tiles, a new toilet, replaced damaged bathroom lights with new recessed lighting, and painted the walls and ceiling. It look beautiful and it's functional. In addition, they replaced a broken lock, door knob and installed a new front door. I feel much safer. I highly recommend the Fix Brothers. This is the second large project they have completed for me. I will call them again, if needed. Service requested was door frame/jamb replaced but preserving the existing door. The estimate was quick and professional, and later, the quote was competitive and scope of work was clear. The handyman was scheduled for one week later, and his work was thorough, good quality, and he cleaned as he worked. Requested service to fix and move my kitchen counter. The person came 1hr late. He was waiting outside the house and never called me - he didn't have my number. Basically, they sent a random guy who doesn't know my number or about the work that needs to be done. I clearly told them one person can't do the job and that I needed 2 people. They still sent one person. He asked me to wait for another 30 mins so another guy may be able to come. But then, the company texted me saying they initially insisted on just one person. We had a wonderful experience with Fix Brothers! My mom had a post on her front porch that needed replacing and everyone was professional, friendly and so quick and accommodating. The price that was quoted was exactly what we paid and they were able to complete the project in one day. They gave us a 2 hour window, and they showed up within 15 minutes of the start of the window! They do wonderful work and were so lovely to my mom. We've had recurring leaks in our kitchen ceiling and have slowly fixed everything else we could, which helped some but it was still happening in one spot. A contractor told us the only thing left was something around the metal siding/ext doors to our first floor roof, so I found Fix Brothers on Yelp and they had someone come out to take a look and later provided a ranged estimate on repair. After going ahead with it, they found the job to be less extensive than previously expected so they charged me a lower rate than estimated which was appreciated. I had two leaking windows that I needed fixed. The process of coordinating an inspection was smooth, and what stood out to me about this company vs. other handymen we contacted was that they actually explained their proposed solution, part of which was investigating/understanding the root cause of the leak vs. pivoting immediately to "reinstall window" or "re-caulk". My trust was validated when the team they sent were able to identify some exterior stucco cracks as the source of the leak and even did some testing with our garden hose to verify. Communication to schedule was fast, and the job was completed in a timely manner. We did get some rain recently, and I didn't see any leaks, so hopefully that's the end of that! Used the Fix Brothers to refresh some kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. Some of our doors were no longer aligned or soft closing and some of our drawers were not opening or operating smoothly. After working on the drawers it turned out one needed more extensive repairs. I contacted them the same day and had an appointment scheduled timely. Ivan from Fixx Brothers was excellent. On time and completed 3 projects in less than an hour. The only issue was at the end of the job he didn't know how much to charge or how we could pay. He called the office and had me speak to someone. All the parts/products were supplied by me. The original quote was $380- $450. They were asking $400. I just didn't feel 1 hour worth of work using my parts was equal to $400. I paid them $380. Someone contacted me a few days after the job was completed and said they had not received payment. I wrote a check payable to Fixx Brothers and handed it to Ivan. Maybe next time check with your worker. Office seems disorganized. They also mention that before they start a job once the worker is on site they will quote an exact price before they start. That didn't happen. read more
