The process of coordinating an inspection was smooth, and what stood out to me about this company vs. other handymen we contacted was that they actually explained their proposed solution, part of which was investigating/understanding the root cause of the leak vs. pivoting immediately to "reinstall window" or "re-caulk". My trust was validated when the team they sent were able to identify some exterior stucco cracks as the source of the leak and even did some testing with our garden hose to verify. Communication to schedule was fast, and the job was completed in a timely manner. We did get some rain recently, and I didn't see any leaks, so hopefully that's the end of that! Requested service to fix and move my kitchen counter. The person came 1hr late. He was waiting outside the house and never called me - he didn't have my number. Basically, they sent a random guy who doesn't know my number or about the work that needs to be done. I clearly told them one person can't do the job and that I needed 2 people. They still sent one person. He asked me to wait for another 30 mins so another guy may be able to come. But then, the company texted me saying they initially insisted on just one person. We've had recurring leaks in our kitchen ceiling and have slowly fixed everything else we could, which helped some but it was still happening in one spot. A contractor told us the only thing left was something around the metal siding/ext doors to our first floor roof, so I found Fix Brothers on Yelp and they had someone come out to take a look and later provided a ranged estimate on repair. After going ahead with it, they found the job to be less extensive than previously expected so they charged me a lower rate than estimated which was appreciated. Ivan from Fixx Brothers was excellent. On time and completed 3 projects in less than an hour. The only issue was at the end of the job he didn't know how much to charge or how we could pay. He called the office and had me speak to someone. All the parts/products were supplied by me. The original quote was $380- $450. They were asking $400. I just didn't feel 1 hour worth of work using my parts was equal to $400. I paid them $380. Someone contacted me a few days after the job was completed and said they had not received payment. I wrote a check payable to Fixx Brothers and handed it to Ivan. Maybe next time check with your worker. Office seems disorganized. They also mention that before they start a job once the worker is on site they will quote an exact price before they start. That didn't happen. read more

Used the Fix Brothers to refresh some kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. Some of our doors were no longer aligned or soft closing and some of our drawers were not opening or operating smoothly. Scheduling with them was easy and they were quick to reply and schedule. Not waiting days or weeks to have the work done. The person who arrived at the house was professional and clean. After working on the drawers it turned out one needed more extensive repairs. I contacted them the same day and had an appointment scheduled timely. I needed to have my shower door removed and replaced with a permanent shower rod and curtain on a semi-urgent basis. I had some delivery issues with the new hardware and curtain and Jake was SO accommodating in changing the date at the last minute. Alex arrived on time and got right to work. He explained in detail what he would do and answered all of my questions. If you have ever removed a shower door, you know there is a lot of material to remove where the track was on the walls and bathtub rim. Alex completely cleaned all of this off and filled in the small holes on two types of tile, which were barely visible when he was done. He made sure that I approved exactly where the new shower rod would be installed and position of the shower curtain above ground. He removed and hauled the old shower door. I could not be happier with the result, and my daughter and husband were able to give my baby grandson a bath in the new setup when they visited for Christmas, without a clunky shower door blocking their access! This is my first time using Fix Brothers, but it certainly will not be the last! I told Jake that have an entire list of things I need done in the near future!
