The communication with the owner started off great and the estimate was thorough and professional. With the other Yelp reviews, I thought this was going to be a great find, someone I could use for future projects but it turned out to be the opposite. First off, I assumed that Max, the owner would do the work but it turns out, there were a couple other guys on his team who do the work for him. He did not inform me of that at the beginning, a different person just showed up the day of the job. They were extremely messy. While doing heavy sanding and scraping, they did not cover furniture or even isolate the areas in which they were working, causing some ongoing health issues for my tenants. When I informed Max of this, he said they would cover the furniture but it was barely covered. Work materials, including a blade were left on the floor and even placed on beds. As I was having this work done for tenants, when I went to inspect the work, it was very sloppy, paint was left painted onto the windows, just sloppy work. Even a screen that was repaired was left in place with a hair tie and still had gaps... Once I pointed all this out, they did fix it but overall, the painting was mediocre. Max is very responsive and polite and I wonder how this would have gone down if he had done the work. I am used to contractors preparing a work space in a residence to be clean and prepare for avoiding dust and filth. A cleaning crew needed to be hired to clean up after them. Also, there was a Saturday where they were supposed to show up around 8am, hours passed with many texts sent that were not being responded to and finally, he responded that they were on their way, hours later. My tenants had waiting for them all Morning. And to make matters worse, this entire project was done to fix leaking windows and guess what, they all still leak. While Max did agree to come back and fix them again, my tenants do not want to allow him back in their space. So I will have to find someone else to do this job. read more

Okay so first of all, Max responded right away. I was a bit nervous with only one review but decided to give him a shot. I needed some plumbing work and a few handyman things as well so I thought he would be a good fit. Well he showed up on time as promised and fixed all the issues (clogged drains, leaky faucets, replaced faucets etc) and did a wonderful job.
