Drywall and texture can take a few days to do correctly, and Raul explained to me that some contractors prefer to get everything done in a day at the expense of quality. I first contacted Raul regarding drywall repair and painting in the ceiling of one bedroom from water damage. I couldn't be happier with Raul's Drywall Service. Yelp- I want to give Raul bonus stars, if it's possible. I was in the attic and slipped off a rafter, breaking a 2.5' hole in my ceiling's drywall. This happened on a Saturday morning. I looked a few options up on Yelp, and decided to submit requests for quotes for a couple of different services (I provided pictures that included measurements, thickness of the drywall, etc). Raul's listing didn't have a "request quote" option, but I noticed that he had a few stellar reviews, so I decided to give him a call while I waited to hear from some of the other options. Raul got back to me immediately (I'd left a voicemail- turns out he was working on another project). He asked appropriate questions, and we decided to chat a little later that same Saturday. In between our calls, some of the other listings had gotten back to me with "we don't do that kind of work," or "we don't have availability for another few weeks." I got three quotes from additional competitors, which ranged from competitive to outlandish, but none of the competitors would have been able to do the work for quite some time. When Raul and I connected, he offered a quote to get the work done THE NEXT DAY. Not only was the quote for immediate work, but it was absolutely competitive with the most competitive option of the three other providers who'd gotten back to me. We agreed to the work-plan over the phone, and set up the appointment for the next morning. Raul arrived early (10 minutes or so). I greeted him outside and we spent a few minutes chatting while he finished his coffee. He's a super nice guy! At our appointment time, we went inside together and he got right to work. He covered all surfaces in the room that required the work, as well as the door-frame into the room and the hall leading out of the room. It basically looked like we had a mini-clean-room setup in our upstairs guest room! The pictures speak for themselves, and this is without paint to match the rest of the ceiling. I would have been able to hang the drywall myself, but getting the seams, fill and textures right is why you hire a drywall specialist- and oh man, did he do a great job. So getting down to brass tacks... Raul was an amazing find- I'm glad he was on Yelp. He made himself available within 24 hours of my misstep, arrived early for his appointment time, was an absolute pro when it came to cleanliness, work, and texture, and was a great guy to chat with on top of all that.
