It was obvious he had a lot of experience, he even talked about working with the roofer to pre-paint beams that would be more difficult to paint once they were in place. As it turned out the roofer was willing to paint the beams and Joe brought the appropriate paint. He said his guys would start on Friday and be done by the following Wednesday or Thursday. They showed up on Friday and got to work, then came on Saturday as well and had it all done by Tuesday. I was planning on getting a new garage door and front security door, purely for aesthetic reasons, but Joe was able to paint them and make them look brand new. And after all this he still came in at a lower price than the other painter. I highly recommend Joe.

After you have a couple of bad experiences with flaky contractors, you tend to become more careful about who you call to your home and doing your due diligence and all of that jazz. But sometimes? You just KNOW... and I had that feeling about Mr. Raul Gonzalez after I'd read of his reviews and looked at a few photos of some of his past projects. So... I called, got VM and left a message describing the project I needed done. I expected to receive a return call maybe the next business day, but Raul called me within 30 minutes to let me know that he'd received my message and that he would call me again later - and he did. Professional follow-up: CHECK After I'd sent pics, we scheduled an appointment so that he could see what I needed in-person. Mr. Gonzalez arrived at my home 15 minutes early. Timeliness: CHECK During the walk-thru he explained how he would approach the job in a way I could understand... and then he did some measurements and calculations, gave me his bid AND told me when he could start and then we shook hands on the agreement we'd just made. When I tell you that Mr. Gonzalez did EVERYTHING that he said he would do, within the time span we agreed upon, was ALWAYS at least 15 minutes early, took great care to ensure that his work met the high standard that HE sets for himself and was one of the most professional gentlemen I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with... I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the quality and care he invested in a job so many others would simply rush to complete in a halfhearted fashion. If you have a job you want done properly... by a master of his craft... then Mr. Raul Gonzalez is the only call you need to make. And yes... Raul is our go-to now for drywall. He skim-coated and sprayed new texture on the walls of my office and it looks brand new. We had him do the same thing to our Master bedroom. We had major cracks as well as minor imperfections in all the walls and he fixed everything. We also had him fix the imperfections in our hallway and upstairs bathroom. Then, downstairs we had a pipe leak so we had to open the wall from the floor to the ceiling. After the leak was fixed we called Raul to patch the wall up again and you can't even tell it was repaired! Everything he touches, he makes look brand new again. I learned my lesson early -- in the past, I tried to hire a cheap drywall repair person and his work was so bad I had to call Raul to fix it. Now I only call Raul for everything. He not only has a good eye for the art of drywall--he also is timely, professional and keeps the mess contained and cleans after himself so you feel like your house is good as new. we had a fairly small drywall repair on a ceiling and an adjacent wall due to a pipe leak. The hard part was making the repair without removing the crown molding. Also, the area had to be retextured in a way that would match the rest of the ceiling and wall. Raul did a fantastic job. He walked me through what was needed to prepare the framing for the new drywall prior to starting the work. The work was completed quickly and at a very fair price. The texture matched perfectly and now that it's been repainted the repair is invisible. I would highly recommend Raul for any drywall repair or smaller complete drywall project. read more

I called Raul based on the Yelp reviews, and that he was local to us. He returned my call and set up a follow up to review the work requested in a few hours. We needed some repairs done to patch our wall and ceiling with the removal of a wall heater and installation of a ceiling fan. Raul took a couple of days to complete the work making sure to give the work time to dry and followed up with finish sanding, always making sure to prep and clean up the area. Raul is a great find! He does great work shows up on time each and every day usually 7:00 AM. Raul managed the hanging and did the finishing for my garage. Each day he arrived at 7 AM to avoid the heat of the day while doing everything needed for a beautiful smooth finish.
