I didn't hear a knock, doorbell, call or text or even an email so when it turned 12 noon, I called the corporate office and the guy on the phone said he's would call the shop to call me. The shop runs all calls through the Huntington Beach office. A woman with a slight accent reached out (I didn't catch her name) and said that my appointment was rescheduled. I told her that I didn't even get a notice that my appointment was moved or it wouldn't be possible today. She proceeded to tell me that the glass was not going to be available until Monday so that's why the man on the phone said 9/1 would be ok. I asked her "what man" and she said don't you have a man or a husband at your home? And I told her that the only person picking up the phone would be me. I do have a husband but he left for work at 7am so there would be no way he would pick up a call. Then she started telling me that the reason it was rescheduled was because the person on the phone said he's an uber driver and needs the car asap. I told her that I'm not an uber driver and don't have any call records of her calling me from this number. She was completely flabbergasted and said omg and hung up the phone. I was trying to tell her that my appointment was canceled for no reason and I've been up since 6:30 and not going anywhere knowing my time slot was between 8-12. She kept talking over me and wouldn't let me explain. My feeling is that the shop, whether it was her or someone else in the shop got the information mixed up and mixed the clients up between myself and another person. At no point did she apologize for the inconvenience but doubled down that I was completely wrong. What a great way to treat customers.

They kept bringing me back to the shop for three months, only for the insurance company to ultimately deem the vehicle unsafe to drive and a total loss. I took the car to Crash Champions a second time, following the insurance company's instructions, to give them an opportunity to correct their mistake two months into this ordeal. Instead of fixing the problem, the shop attempted to conceal what had become an irreparable issue. During this attempt, my service writer called to update me, and I asked directly if I'd be satisfied with the work this time. Her response was that if I didn't like it, I could just bring the car back in. That shouldn't be the standard. Repairs should be done right the first time. Getting basic updates was a struggle the entire time. I'd call and be told the person I needed was in a meeting or at lunch, with hours passing and no callback. Twice I drove to the shop in person just to check on the status. What's worse, they tried to give the car back to me multiple times when it wasn't even safe to drive, putting myself and my family at risk. It was clear their team wasn't capable of handling this level of repair, and each "fix" was more of a band-aid than a real repair. After the third failed attempt, the manager, Ray, called to apologize. Instead of taking responsibility, he blamed the service writer, calling her "too green," despite the fact that she wasn't the one doing the actual bodywork or paint. He then offered to repair the car again and personally cover my rental and repair costs, basically asking to handle it outside of insurance. I declined. This experience was exhausting from start to finish. Crash Champions seems built around quick, low-cost patches instead of proper repairs or evaluations, and in my case their negligence cost me months of my time, immeasurable stress, and potentially worse had I not taken my car elsewhere for a second opinion and found out the vehicle was unsafe.

My car had been sitting in the heat and it was very hot that day and I even suggested moving the vehicle into the shade before starting the repair. I was told it wasn't necessary because they would cool the windshield down. After I did my own research I found out that you should move a car into the shade and allow enough time to cool down the windshield. I went Wednesday to speak to a manager about my concerns but he wasn't no help. He said that they do repairs in Arizona in extreme hot weather and they follow cooling precautions but after reviewing my cameras at work, the technician only cooled the chip itself not my whole window. She cooled the small area for about 10 minutes and then proceeded with the repair while the rest of the windshield remained in the sun. Unfortunately, the chip spread into a large crack during the repair. I understand there is always a risk that a rock chip can crack during repair, but I was disappointed that my concerns about the heat were dismissed. I was left wondering whether additional precautions, such as allowing the entire windshield to cool or moving the vehicle into the shade, could have reduced the risk. What made the experience even more frustrating was feeling like my concerns weren't taken seriously afterward. I expected better communication, more transparency, and greater care when working on something as important as a windshield. I hope this feedback encourages the business to take extra precautions when performing repairs on hot days and to listen to customers' concerns.
