Very pleased with the service we received from Fix Auto in Lake Forest for a Tesla Y bumper and trunk lid replacement after we were rear-ended. They worked seamlessly with our insurance carrier. Very responsive and answered every phone call, friendly and very collegial, and kept us well informed regarding the arrival of parts and process of our repair - finishing our repair ahead of schedule. They even did a great job of washing the car just before pickup - looked as good as new and even better than a recent mobile car wash service. Had a minor glue issue involving a replacement tail-light - they asked me to drop by the next day and were able to replace with a new tail-light in under 20 minutes while I waited. If I could give Fix Auto Lake Forest zero stars, I would. They handled my car with complete carelessness and then refused to take responsibility. During repairs, they broke the Mustang logo off the front of my car and tried to glue it back on instead of properly fixing it. They also broke my horn, which was working fine before I brought it in. When I confronted them, they denied it. I took the car to my dealership, who confirmed the horn was broken and replaced it for a $100 deductible. When I asked Fix Auto to cover the cost for damage they caused, they essentially told me to "go screw myself." Now, the manager won't respond to me at all. While my car's front isn't completely ruined, their sloppy repairs mean more work will likely be needed in the future -- and that's unacceptable. This kind of shoddy workmanship and unprofessional attitude is exactly why I'm warning others: do not trust your car to this place. They will damage your vehicle, deny it, refuse to fix it, and ignore you when you seek help. read more

I was recently hit and ran and needed to find a Tesla certified body shop. I called several places and they acted like they didn't want business. Scheduled out over a month, just for an estimate. Was driving to AZ and a truck's mud plate was flipped out from under a car in front of me right into the front of my car and damaged it pretty badly (thankfully cosmetics). My auto insurance recommended Fix Auto through available locations and the reviews were all great so I went with them! Getting an appointment set was super easy and bringing the car over for the quote was quick and painless. Unfortunately Mazda delayed my parts by about 6 months and while I called in to check the status of the parts every other month or so, I would've appreciated a call by Fix Auto just to update me that they were still back ordered. I'm very lucky my car was driveable (although Mazdas issue, not Fix Auto). Finally got the parts in and dropped my car off on a Wednesday. They estimated about 5-7 business days and I asked about fixing another scratch that I had received and they let me know they'll fix what was quoted for insurance and call me to give me a quote about the scratch. A little over a week went by and I hadn't heard anything so I called, they said it's done and that they're just waiting on the headlight to come in since they were sent the wrong headlight, but that they forgot about the scratch and he'd check on it and call back. I didn't hear back so I called again the following Monday and was told the cost. I approved it and they said they'd fix it. The next day it's all fixed (minus a small spot they forgot, but it's not noticeable, so whatever) and the front end looks great. I came to pick up the car and a little piece was missing, but they said they accidentally ordered the back piece rather than the front piece and to stop back the next day to put it on and they did. Thankful to work close to the shop! Overall service was good, customer service was good, just wish there had been a little more communication or follow up, but oh well. Overall everything looks great and they have a great warranty on the work. read more

I'm deciding whether to pay myself or to go through my insurance, but they refused to write an estimate unless I said I was going through my insurance, because it would "look like fraud" if they wrote a "customer pay" estimate & then I went through my insurance. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to get me in for a same day estimate and even more thrilled to have found a team that was so professional and authentically friendly. What's the chance of having to return the very same day for a different issue? That was me and it was truly a Terrible Tuesday. By Wednesday, they coordinated with both State Farm and Geico to confirm the estimates. On Thursday, I received a call notifying me that all of the parts arrived and they were going to finish earlier than anticipated. After working from home for an extended period of time therefore not paying close attention to my car parked outside for days and weeks on end I finally noticed over spray paint from one of several neighbors who were told to repaint their houses by our HOA. Took my TESLA there for an estimate on Tuesday. Gentleman who looked at it quoted me $1800 to $2100. He said they will write up the estimate and email it to me. Called them on Thursday they said they are writing it up, told them I just don't want it dragged because I was told parts needs to be ordered and Justin told me no they don't need to order parts. called the again today Friday and he said they are still completing it but looks like it's $6556.00 to fix it.
