I went to this body shop because I got into an accident; someone hit my baby, my car, arghhhh! In my case, I went to mall and some ignorant new driver created to fist sized dents on my driver side doors. I was at the mall for less than an hour; he even had the guts to try to take off until he realized that I had enough time to record his license plate number. After taking down ALL of his information, I reported the accident to my insurance company and they told me to get an estimate at one of their drive-ins. After taking my car to the drive in, I felt something was wrong since my estimate. Being the person that I am, I did some extensive research and found my own auto body shop via Yelp. I found this body shop through Yelp and came here because I live fairly close to this collision center. I took my car to Auto Werks and was greeted by gentleman in the front office, he was professional, respectful and polite. He took a look at the estimate and said that it was a bait-and-switch estimate and that he would need to a do a supplement and extension for the time to do the job right. I appreciated the fact that he wasn't about making a quick buck but wanted to make sure my car was fixed correctly. I scheduled a time to bring it in so they can set an appointment with my insurance company to do the supplement and put me in touch with car rental company. I was able to get a Japanese car rental too! Beats driving around an ugly Focus like other car rental places I've rented from. I received few phone calls due to some delays with my insurance company approving the extra work, but the bottom-line is that the car is pristine and it's like the accident never happened. I've heard of horror stories from friends that have taken their places to their local collission centers. I'm just glad that I happen to find this shop on Yelp. I can appreciate an honest local auto body shop and would definitely recommend this place to others. My 2nd time back here. The first time they helped me out was about 2 years ago now? Peter and Bill are still there doing a great job as it's a family owned business so I like that. They have a steak on the results and it's not just some random corporate body shop where people are just employees. Being a business owner myself, I also like the process they have using a organized system of where my car is in the process of getting parts, estimates, repair, etc. Being the nosey person I am, they showed me their computer system much like the large corporations so seeing that they're organized and modernized makes me feel more confident. It's one of those things like finding a good dentist, good lawyer, etc. Finding a good body repair shop is one of those things. When they fixed my car a few years ago, they did a good job. It was on time, etc. The recently helped my mom where she didn't speak English so I appreciated they were able to ease her nervousness as she's a bit nutzo also. haha They worked with the insurance company where she got hit and they gave us a few updates and the car was ready before the estimate so it really helped the situation. I have to say, I love their waiting area too. It's nice, clean and modern with nice leather couches, AC, etc. It shows me they invest in their business and although is family owned, it's not one of these getthoo chop shops that mickey mouse your car. I like the fact they're honest with me and walked my mom and I through the process of what's damaged outside but also inside. I been to places where they just cover up things but after having a few friends in accidents, you know fixing the car right is important. You're talking about people's lives here! For those who talked about it being expensive, I believe you can always find it cheaper but will be it done right and done safely. My mom is driving this car and I've recommended them to a few others so any life is more valuable than a few bucks. Don't be cheap people! I've gone through about 3 body shops and will not go anywhere else. I've had bad luck with the past 2 body shops I've been to. I hate Marco's Auto Body - retards were pressuring my insurance so much that i had to tow my car out b/c my insurance company wouldn't pay for the outrageous list of damages they were asking. Nevertheless, I found them through their website www.elmontebodyshop.com from Google and gave them a try. They towed my car the next business day, which was a Monday, to their shop. When I had arrived at the shop, they reassured me that I would not have to put any sort of deposit down since it was not my fault. I got my rental from Enterprise and called it a day. They dealt with the insurance company the whole way through. The storefront is super clean and comfy inside. Lots of space in their office, clean restroom in the waiting area and several awards from sponsors on their wall. I wish I could do a photo shoot in their office. Update: So it was time to pick up my car after about a week and a half and the back right side of my car is back to its original condition. Simple transaction. Done and done, finally. I highly recommend this place if you need any auto collision damages fixed on your baby-mobile. Car accidents that are not your fault should be easy and that's what they did for me, after I got through the first hump with the other place...Blahh!!! read more

I got rear ended and the girl who hit me said she would get it fixed. She suggested this place because she knew the owner Peter. I took the car in on a tuesday and they said they would send pictures of the damage behind the bumper ( even if there was no interior damage) and keep me updated. They did neither. The only way i got updates was if I called. Originally they had said 1 week depending on if it was just the bumper or more. They said it was just the bumper so this shouldn't have taken even a week yet alone 2 weeks. When i finally got my car 2 weeks later my parking permit( which is a stick on) was off the window. I'm sure they used it and didn't even bother putting it on and making it seem normal. They also left greasy finger print marks where they took off the permit. So it took 2 weeks of excuses of why my car was taking so long to fix. They probably enjoyed my school permit. So don't trust this place. These yelp reviews are to good to be true. If you want it done in a timely manner go elsewhere. The people there try to act all nice and make you feel secure, it's all a sham. read more

He said that they're a good and trustworthy shop, so I trusted in his words and brought my baby there. I was pleasantly surprised. They took care of everything the moment I brought in my car. They got me a car rental, took care of the insurance part of it, and kept me posted throughout the week. The people working there were very nice and friendly and the cars that they were working on were mostly high end cars, so I felt reassured. I'm so glad I was referred to them because they gave me my car back and if I didn't know better I would never guess it was ever in a car accident. Super expensive and bad service. My bf took my car to this body shop 3 weeks ago based on yelp reviews after we got a minor accident.. The estimator took my car said that he will be texting me to update during the insurance claim process, HOWEVER, He never did. After a week, my bf went down there to see what is going on. It turns out that my car was sitting there for a week, nothing was done. I was so pissed! We decided to pull the car out from this shop, then the manager told us to pay storage and tear down fees for no reason. Then we called our insurance, they told us that this shop never even called them at all. Would never go to back to this place, don't fall for the reviews, guys! read more

My family and I have been going to them for years and we have never been disappointed. Auto Werks is run by honest, friendly people who really knows what they're doing.
