Late post but wanted to share my experience from Jan 2024 for my vehicle, 2015 Toyota Highlander at this location. My feedback is from a customer service perspective based on my interaction with Service Advisor, Jennifer V. My experience with Jennifer can be summed up to, failure to communicate clearly and effectively. Jennifer would refuse to give a straight answer, when I asked for worst case scenarios deliverable dates, she would give some vague response, "I'm pushing to get this out." Originally, she the initial estimate would take 2 weeks for the work to be performed, then it became 3 weeks and then it became 4 weeks. I understand there are things out of her control such as Toyota sending the wrong parts but her communication is horrible. For ex: on Wednesday Jan 31st, she said we will try to get it out on Feb 2nd, that it just needs to be painted. On Friday Feb 2nd, it took longer to paint and bake, so it won't be ready by Friday. On Monday Feb 5th, now it needs windows installed and side panel calibrations, which was never mentioned at any time. If she told me on Jan 1st that it takes a full day to paint, then another day to install windows/panel, that was the answer I was looking for. As of the writing of this email, my vehicle is still not ready after she said it will be ready at 430pm this Jennifer needs to do a better job at communication, she seemed annoyed when I asked questions or press why the car isn't ready. If her role is to distract the customer and not provide any real updates, then she did her job, just get customers in the door with generous delivery dates and stall long enough to get them to go away. Jennifer did nothing to allay my concerns or give me a reasonable explanation as to why she can't stick to the target dates, she seems rushed to get off the phone so she can mark down that I was notified. After dealing with Jennifer, my feelings are I would rather deal with a car repair shop that doesn't provide any info than to speak to a person who provides estimates that are grossly under deliver. These delays mean I have to pay $41 car rental each day the longer this takes and I have to keep contacting Hertz to extending the rental date. Nowhere was there signs that urgency taken to stay on a deliverable target. No empathy or situation awareness about how the delays have compounding problems to The work on the car itself is problematic. I could see the repair person went through my stuff because I could see my baton was opened and extended. The passenger side seat belt wasn't working correctly and I had to go back for them to set it. There was paint on the leather car seat and they had to clean it when I pointed it out. Red flag: this shop uses your car to run errands. My vehicle came back with a red empty warning light. Don't believe me? Write down the miles on your car and then check how many miles are needed for "test driving". Avoid at all costs! read more

My 2014 hyundai elantra somehow looks like a 2019 elantra now. They washed the insides and outsides...waxed it...wheels shiny...metallic rims cleaned...???...????!!!!......the best!!!! But more than that/this somehow it became a spiritual experience. My time spent there was nothing short of powerful as I felt the aloha spirit from Shirley Alvarez the office angel/administrator who is so loving, kind and helpful she deserves a raise and a thank you trip to her favorite Hawaiian island for going above and beyond the call of duty. My insurance company, Geico, sent me here for a damage estimate. They made an appointment for me at 3 pm on a Tuesday. When I arrived, I noticed how small the location and its parking lot was. There were 2 entrances but 1 of them was blocked by a big rig. This place looked super ghetto but decided to give it a try. I wish I hadn't. I had to wait almost half an hour to finally get someone to take pictures of my car. The guy told me it would only take a day or 2 to get an estimate. I check the Geico app on Friday night, and it says I missed my appointment at Caliber Collision. I call Geico on the following Monday, and they say Caliber didn't pick up their phone or return their calls. I wouldn't trust this place with my car. Taking it somewhere else for an estimate and repair. Don't waste your time here like I did. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME I left this car here December 14th I just got it back today was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a repair shop it's unfortunate I couldn't leave zero stars. I had to wait 3 months for my car to get its door replaced which I understood parts take time but to constantly getting lied to thru texts and phone calls telling me they were gonna get it soon and giving me hope I'd see my car I would have rather they told me in advanced it would take this long for them to replace it. I also called at one point requesting a rental for at least a couple days seeing as my insurance could only cover a single month of rentals, before I'd have to pay out or pocket they told me they would reach back out to me never got a phone call back but I did get another text of them lying that the repair would be sooner. Not only did they take so long to replace my door they also left me with no gas in the vehicle I spoke with the manager at the time Michael to ask if he could at least reimburse my gas I had prior to leaving it with him because how else would I get home. Michael tells me he cannot because the other manager that allows for those transactions wasn't available didn't offer to call her didn't even try to help just said if I come back another day they can give me a couple bucks to help me out I live in hacienda heights I can't drive back and forth from here to El Monte for a "couple bucks" with how high gas prices are I never personally write negative reviews I hate to hurt businesses that make a mistake but this was just ridiculous to me never again will I come to this business or recommend it to anyone save your money please I don't want anyone else to experience this type of "customer service" if you value you your time and money DONT DO BUSINESS HERE read more

Terrible customer service. I was in need of repair after getting hit from front and back. My insurance company referred me to Caliber Collision and helped set the appointment with Michelle. She was very helpful in explaining the whole process. She let me know that I would be able to pay half of my $1000 deductible up front and the remaining balance after. We set an appointment first thing next day. When I pulled up to the shop there seemed to be a lot of cars in the drive way, I didn't see any space available so I parked on the street. I walked in the front office was greeted by the front desk. They helped me check in and asked me to fill out some contact information. I was half way through the paper work when one of the workers came out and asked me to move my car inside the lot. I was almost done with the paper work, so I asked him if he wanted me to finish filling out paper work or move my car inside. He came across pushy. He seemed eager to have my car inside and asked me to move the car. I thought maybe he wants to take a look while I'm filling out paper work. So I dropped the pen and brought my car inside. I bring my car inside. Look for this worker, he's no where to be found so I go back to the office to finish paper work. I was annoyed, I felt like moving my car could have waited. So already got off on the wrong foot. That worker comes back in the office and ask me to go with him to look over the vehicle. He's looking over the vehicle and he tells me I can leave the car but I'd have to pay my $1000 deductible upfront. I told him about the arrangement made with Michelle for split payment. He gets argumentative and starts telling me that I have to pay the full amount upfront. I tell him, that was a major reason why I chose this shop. I told him I'd take it else where. We go back into the office he speaks with the front desk. I can hear their conversation. The front desk tells him, yes that was the arrangement that was made and Paul approved it. He comes out and tells me looks like I can do split payment. (The fact that they all weren't on the same page was bothersome, but what made it worse was him getting angry and defensive about payment only to be told I was right.) We go back to the car where he's ready to go over damage to take my car and it's at this point that his attitude got to me and I told him I'd take my car else where it was because of his poor customer service. He gets upset and proceeded to argue with me walking along side my car as I backed out of the drive way. He continued insulting me all the way out. I will never do business here. Honestly never made a review not even a bad review. However this place needs to be blacklisted from any insurance recommendations, sad that it will take money away from people. Left my car with them 4 weeks ago, I was obviously told that it will take 7-10 work days but, that's after on how responsive the insure agent would get to processing this claim. Maybe a week later got a call from insurance company and was notified that the car was a loss, but I decided to the car and with the payout. The same day the insurer called me, I called Caliber notifying them that I would retain the car and asked when would the car be ready for pickup, even tried asking prices on repairs for the car, after being told prices I sat on them. A week on sitting on the prices, I've decided to just to call back and ask if when would the car be ready for pickup, they informed that the car would be ready for next week as they were cramped with other cars. The day of picking up my car I expected for things not to be put back because they told me that the damages would be hard to put back the pieces fitted in the original placement. HOWEVER!! I didn't expect my car to be in the jaw dropping condition, my vehicle has its gas cap snapped off, along with its cover around the gas port to not even being put back, my passenger headlight is missing it's rear mounting screw and rear headlight cover, and let my front bumper under skirt to hang. A little over three years ago during BC times, or before covid, my wife's car had a chance meeting with a rusted pole while backing out of one of those tiny parking lots in DTLA. Yes, I happened to be behind the wheel at the time, but the dang pole, it just came out of nowhere. The damage was rather ghettolicious and became a huge source of embarrassment over the next few years. When friends and family would ask what happened I would tell them that "It was all the pole's fault." They would chuckle but the wife was not amused. As they say, unhappy wife, unhappy life. Something had to be done. Of course I was dragging my feet since it wasn't worth making an insurance claim so it would be up to me to foot the bill. It was either get it fixed or be in the doghouse forever. The pole sure as hell wasn't gonna pay for it. Fast forward to present day, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic. We are both working from home so having the car tied up at the bodyshop for a few days was a no brainer. Upon the recommendation of a family friend, we brought the car to Caliber Collision in El Monte. From the get go Mike Irula was the consummate professional. Friendly and upbeat, he treated us like family. He took good care of us and answered all of our questions. Knowing that we were paying out of pocket, he gave us a great deal beating the previous estimate. Mike texted us along the way, keeping us informed of the progress while the car was being worked on. When we got the car back a few days later, we were very pleased. Tony C. did an impressive job, exceeding our expectations. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were happy and that his services were worth our hard-earned dough. Tony is a master craftsman and it is obvious that he takes pride in his work. The paint job was flawless, blending seamlessly with the rest of the car. He also buffed out some scratches on the hood and the side of the car. The car was waxed and polished, its tires nice and shiny. 1 star because just sad how the workers here are. Still no one has contacted us back about our missing airpods from our vehicle. Even after the fact that we went in person to ask about them! What a shame! We understand that there was a page that stated to take out our belongings from the car... but after we left and were already home, that's when we toally forgot that our airpods were in the car where we had left it.. We're going to assume that's stated in there because people's stuff have probably gone missing before and their workers are stealing it! We wouldn't go out of our way to address about this problem in person if it wasn't true. BUT the problem is one of your workers took our airpods! We tracked it using the "find my airpods" and it was last used and on a day prior to picking up our car at your location. We took a screen shot to have our proof that its there. We spoke to michael once we got there and he was kind of busy, but we just wanted to get our airpods back and get on with day. We asked him about it and He said he asked the last person who had our car and it was the cleaning guys... Supposedly they said they dont recall remember seeing it. Obviously they dont remember because they took it out out of the car! It was inside the car on the passenger door. They cleaned and wiped the whole inside, so how is it not there where we left it? Also another thing is atleast be more professional and call a customer back when you say you are and at least TRY to do something about the issue then beating around the bush saying you trust their word that they didn't remember seeing it. I call it BS! It's there and they have it. Will they admit they took it? No. Cus they would probably lose their job or probably not.. also saying you don't know what you can do about the issue?! Talk to the general manager... that's hardly there or is too busy. How about maybe reimburse us half the price or something?! Since you trust your workers so much and seems like our word doesn't matter.. that's just plain sad how they handle their job. Then promising to call us back again and still not hearing anything back for the past 2 days! So for anyone that forgets any personal or valuable item, don't forget to take it out. They steal it, and will say they didn't!!! read more
