I'm giving this place a three out of five. All the people that work here are pretty nice over all, but the actual service is below mediocre. We had schedule an appointment for 6pm one day and we had gone a bit early to the appointment just to see if possible they could attend attend us earlier if there wasn't anyone in front of us. There were people in front of us and it was ok we understood and waited about half hour for our appointment. Only to wait a long time after our appointment to be attended. Sure if it was maybe 5 minutes after our appointment that would've been understandable but it was a lot longer than that!!! We pretty much waited about 2 hours total only of them to put marks on our truck showing the areas that were affected in our accident. A client of theirs hit my pregnant mom on the freeway. Anyway, after that day the truck stayed there for examination, ended up being a total loss for us. When we came back to pick up the truck, they made us wait about an hour only to return he truck to us that was it. And to further finish up the long wait, they had not even washed the marks off the truck after the gentleman that marked it down promised us they would wash it. So what I think would be helpful to say is that this place is unreliable. Another thing I would like to add in is the lady at the front desk was kind and helpful she's the only one that was really on top of her job-thank you I think her name was January or Janine. Jennifer was very attentive to my questions and called 2xs a week a update me on my car and let me know where it was at in the process. She was on top of it! When I arrived she showed me what was done and gave me the keys, they also returned my rental for me which was great because I didn't have to have another person with me they did it all. Had the best experience ever! Everyone I worked and talked to there was so nice and welcoming. I went in to fix my front fender. Ive never been in an accident or minor fender bender, so I didn't know what the procedure was to go about this. They took such good care of me and explained everything in full. WORST experience ever. This is a dishonest place. My car was dinged in an accident. It is the body shop specified by GEICO. I went over today and they made me and GEICO a quote to repair. Three hours later they called and said they won't do the repair and took back their quote. They won't tell me why, and certainly I had no way to verify if the insurance company paid them the quote for the service never performed. Honestly, why do you make the quote in the first place? Is it some kind of scam to deceive the insurance company to receive the quote amount for the repair work which they never did? Aside from these facts, their attitude is REALLY bad. Arrogant and non-responsive at best, perhaps because it is an insurance claim? Their shuttle never arrives so I had to take a Uber to this place. Look, it cost me three hours plus Uber fares. And I got no service; my car is still dented. Bottom line: do not go here. read more

The first time, I worked with Joseph to get my car repaired and he was on top of it from the go, made sure I was informed and that I clearly understood everything that was going on. A real standup guy. The 2nd time, I worked with Jenny and she was awesome. Walked me through the paperwork, kept me updated, called the rental agency to come pick me up and got my car repaired and ready to go early. She is awesome and one of the primary reasons why I'd come back, to say nothing of the beautiful repair job they did on my car. This is my body shop now. I recently had my car fixed at this location after being hit in a parking lot. I could not be happier with the outcome, my car looks brand new. Everyone that works there was nice, helpful, and professional. They kept me updated on my car every step of the way. When the insurance company did not want to pay to fix my car correctly they did not just cave in, they took the extra time and steps to make sure it was done properly. When I picked my car up I had wait just a few minutes so they could double check and make sure all the sensors were working properly and Camellia in the office was wonderful. She was so nice and attentive to everyone in there and offered refreshments while we waited. She checked on everyone and on the status of there vehicles while we waited. DO Not Use This Location!! I took my 2012 Chevy Silverado for repair. The initial adjuster estimated that there was $4,200 worth of damage. Once the manager of Caliber Collision dropped the estimate because he said that instead of ordering the replacement side panel they can go ahead and repair it. The manager specified that with will take up to 3 weeks to order and install the new part. I told them I can wait. They said no. they can repair it and it will look like no one ever hit it. I said no. Order the part. Long story short they did not. Once the repairs where done. It took them 2 and half weeks to return my truck. They estimated 6 business days. On the return of my truck they game me back with a crooked bed. The bed sticks out underneath the rear bumper!!. I returned it back to them to repair it. They specified that it will take a couple of days to make the adjustment. They took a week. On the send return of my truck the bed is still crooked. I mentioned to the manger and he was more annoyed that I mentioned it. He made another adjustment right there and still was crooked. Long story short the truck bed is still crooked!! I payed my deductible and they did and awful job of repairing my truck. They also used up my gas. I had my truck filled with 2/3 full tank of gas. When they returned it only has 1/4 tank of gas. Looks like they used it as a shop truck while they had in their possession. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this location!! read more

She was so professional and sweet at the same time. She really made things easier for me given the circumstance. Came here because my bfs car was rear ended and the ladies insurance (geico) wanted us to take the car here for an estimate. We already had gotten our own estimate just in case they try to give us a low amount. So we set up an appointment and we ended up getting the exact amount we wanted. We wanted the exact amount of the original oem bumper, no China parts. And extra for the labor and paint. They gave us a check to pick our own auto body shop. 10-12-17 took my new 2017 Honda Civic car to caliber collision in south El Monte for repairs on the passenger rear corner panel I wana say by the fender due to hit a run estimated date of completion 10/31. 10-26-17 received call from Joe of car repairs completed. 1: found over spray inside door trim 2: discoloration of paint color on body near the right rear light 3: mud guard loose. 10-31-17 received call from joe of car repairs completed. 1: over spray inside door trim and discoloration repaired 2: mud guard still loose 3: drove off sign of low tire pressure turned on I checked all my tires and the rear wheel from the drivers side appeared with over spray 4: back bumper had white spots not from rain. Joe said the next door neighbors working on I don't know what 5: mostly the whole inside of the car had white dust with dirt from Mecanic. I already had turned in the rental from my insurance in which I was provided. 11-3-17 received call from joe of car repairs completed. Car looked better. Didn't really notice anything because it was getting dark outside and had arrived almost at closing time. Next day 11/4 in the morning I noticed the wheel that got reconditioned from the over spray it had cracks chipped near the lug nuts. Also noticed over spray on the front gloss grill and over spray on the drivers front side mirror. 11-7-17 returned my car back to get the wheel fixed and to get the over spray removed. 11-17-17 Called Sherry of status from my car because I haven't heard from them. Sherry said she sent the wheel back to get reconditioned because she didn't like how it got fixed. She said car would be ready by Monday 11/20. 11-20-17 Didn't hear from Sherry all day until I called her after 5pm. She said the wheel was fixed all the car needed was a wash. Car would be ready tomorrow 11/21. 11-21-17 Received a call in the morning from Sherry's boss they needed to keep the car one more day to check everything was fine and to clay and wax the complete car due to more over spray found. Car would be ready tomorrow 11/22. 11-22-17 Checked car found over spray not removed from the wheels and the front grill scratched due to over spray not removed properly. I asked the manager Sherry first of all how did they remove the over spray from the gloss grill and her first response was "with a rag" I told her that was not the correct procedures you guys just scratched the grill and didn't completely remove the over spray you can literally still see it and feel it. She than replied honestly I don't know how they did it. I than replied I know because I work at a car detail center. The reason I didn't take it to my job to get it fixed is because first of all that's why I'm paying my insurance for. Second of all I went to Caliber Collision for body work due to a hit and run accident not for removal of over spray, not for cracked or chipped wheels, and not for you guys to return the car to me all dirty and dusty from the interior. If they would of done the correct procedures of covering the car to not get over spray all over the car non of this would of happened. Every time I would go either what was supposed to get fixed it wasn't fixed properly or I would find a new damage. Finally Sherry just told me that they were going to replace the front grill (after they scratched it) and to take my car to my job or somewhere else to get the over spray removed from wheels because they couldn't do it and that they would pay up to $150 because it doesn't cost no more than that. It's very frustrating going through all this just wasting my time having to ask to get off early from work to go to the body shop and finding new damages every time to my car, wasting gas and getting stuck on traffic, overall worst experience all Sherry and her boss would do is keep apologizing after every damage that they would do and use the excuse that they were new and they were barely taking over that store. The estimate date was supposed to be done in 2 weeks in which actually took about 2 months. The worst customer service ever will definitely not return nor recommend. I wish I could of taken more pictures but I only took a few. read more

I had my car here for nearly three weeks when they initially said it would be one! They said my insurance didn't cover OEM parts and I said we would pay the difference. He assured me it would only be a couple hundred dollars difference. Three weeks pass and I am given a bill of over $2000!!! He didn't try to price match ANY of the original parts and didn't request at least the base pay for after market parts from my insurance! Horrible experience. Chose this place because of the review. Didn't get the chance to do business with them. I was supposed to have my car inspected and dropped off through the Geico express fix program. Scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance, then drove in the monsoonal rain yesterday to get here, just to hear them say "system is down you'll have to reschedule". Very rude service from the receptionist and the Geico appraiser herself, who appear to be family members. Really? No courtesy call? No alternative way of filling out your paperwork? I had some work done on my car back in November at the Irvine location. Since that work was done, I have switched jobs and no longer work in Irvine but I work in El Monte. I had some issues with the work that was done on my car from the Irvine location. The issues were not big, I had new belts installed and as the temperature changed from winter to summer they needed to be adjusted. I called Dave who is the manager of the El Monte location, told him about my issue and asked if he could help. He said yes, he got me in, he got my car repaired and I was out in less than an hour. My issue with Caliber has nothing to do with car repair but events leading up to a useless trip to their facility in South El Monte. I filed an online claim through my insurance company and Caliber Collision was one of the repair shops that I could choose from. Clearly the claim asks for the type of car for the repair which I provided. After my submission, Caliber call center contacted me immediately to schedule for an estimate. I received a confirmation email for the scheduled date and time which was for 01/25/2018 & 7 AM. This confirmation included the make and model of the car. I received an appointment reminder the day before my appointment with Jason Mitchell listed as my Service Advisor. This reminder email also had the the make and model of the car. I requested for the earliest appointment possible and I was told that 7 AM is available which I took when I scheduled the appointment. I get there shortly after 7 AM and I was greeted by the reception (I believe her name was Vanessa) and she informed me that Jason usually gets there around 8 AM but not to worry as Jennifer comes in between 7:15-7:20 an she will help me. I sit around and finally at 7:30, a gentleman by the name of Michael comes and tells me that he will get started with me since Jennifer was not there yet. He and I walked to my car and he took quite a few pictures of my car and told me that I could leave and Jennifer will (mind you whom I have not met) will write up the estimate and call me with the cost. I was a bit perplexed but I took it in stride and left. Literally 3 minutes after I leave their parking lot, the receptionist calls me and states that Caliber does not provide repairs for the type of car I have and I should call my insurance to see who provides that type of service since mine was a high end car. So Caliber has incompetent call center, disrespect for customers' time, inability for the management to call and provide details for wasting my time to not only schedule my appointment inappropriately but the person that was supposed to be my service advisor was not there and the person that was supposed to help was not there and the person who took the pictures of my car for the estimate couldn't tell me that the type of car I have can't be serviced there. Do you really want to deal with a service shop that can't read working on your car? The make and model of my car was all over their face and they missed it. WOW... read more

I have read the reviews but i don't agree. Worst customer service ever. My friends car got hit and he asked me yo drop it off at this dump since he needed to leave town. I had a appointment and was prompt for inspection, lobby was crowded with allot of long faces. I had a feeling the where not going to meet my appointment. I was correct. After waiting and waiting they finally called me up. They asked if i was the car owner i explained no. My friend left town and asked me to take for insurance inspection. She then said she can not take it since i am not the owner. INSANE!!! I politely asked for the manager. She did come out but gave me the same answer. I tried to plead with them that this was just a inspection and it shouldn't matter who brings it. They stood firm. I was so angry because i lost almost two hours of my day. The kicker was while i was walking out the Manager yelled out Have A Nice Day. I turned to look at her and she had this wide smirk on her face. I thought WOW. Great customer service and way to show symphony to customers When i called insurance back they couldn't believe their policy and quickly gave me plenty of shops that didn't have that stupid policy. I have worked with this Company two times now. When I first came they were going through a management change. I guess they had their issues? I had a writer who is no longer there which is fine by me. I have a Chevy Suburban which was there last year, and by the time it left. I was very happy with the management, the Service, and work. They worked with me, and understood my concerns. The staff who worked on my vehicle did a great Job. I could not be happier with the work done The shop Foreman was a well attuned lady! Last week I brought in my BMW, I was hopping I find all the same managers. Not all were there. The main Manger was gone, and they had a Manager who I had not meet. I did have a new writer. A little concern came up on my end especially when you consider I know what I'm talking about, and I want somthing fair. I didn't get one of these out last year. My BMW is not out of the shop yet. But I'm confident of this new Manager, and how he has treated me that the completed product will be the same as my truck. So I'm writing this early to express that I like this shop. The people who run it. I'm not easy to work with but I'm fair. So I'm happy when a Manager listens gets all his information then makes that decision. I would've loved to have given them more stars but... They just didn't get it right the first time. They were very polite (especially the receptionist). HOWEVER I thought everything was great once I picked up my car except there were dirty finger prints ALL OVER THE INSIDE (inside my car) OF MY ROOF OF MY BRAND NEW CAR! They did body work on the roof and didn't even bother cleaning it once they were done. I was LIVID 2days later when I noticed it. To top it off the window molding was completely popped off hanging off my window! It was so embarrassing when I was driving family members around and they pointed it out!
