My Civic's front fender was messed up after hitting a dog on the freeway, my insurance recommended Fix Auto for repairs and I initially went to Fix Auto in San Francisco (Bryant St) to start the estimate process and parts ordering. They slotted me in at Fix Auto in Daly City after parts delivered to make sure my car was fixed as soon as they could. Service was completed within 4 days and they did such a good job that my car basically looked brand new! Even gave her a wash and vacuumed my carpets! Had my car fixed here and it looks amazing! Looks like nothing even happened. It took them about 3 days to fix the damage on my driver door which was amazing. The only problem I had was it took a month of back and fourth to finally schedule an appointment. I would call and ask for their availability, a women would pick up and tell me she'll call me back next week because they are very busy. This was during Thanksgiving week. This kept repeating until I was finally able to schedule it last week to get it fixed, this time it was a man who picked up the call to help me. The work they did on my car was amazing, just didn't like how I would be told I'd get a call back the next week and it not happening - and then I'd call again and she would tell me the same thing. read more

Someone hit the passenger back side of my Mercedes and I was cringing as to how much it would cost to fix. Marvic was attentive with the cost estimate and walked us through our different options. We had an unlucky streak a couple years ago. My wife's minivan had sideswipe damage, my truck was involved in a fender bender, and then a year later, it was struck while parked. FixIt made the repairs quickly and perfectly for both vehicles. Their paint matched and the panel seams lined up nicely. The vehicles looked "like new." Fast forward to last month when we bought a new vehicle. The manufacturer had crappy quality control and one of the rear doors just didn't align with the quarter panel nor close properly. I refused to let the dealer handle the fix since they said it could take up to a week. I brought it to FixIt and within just a few minutes, they had the door aligned! I was driving my 2017 Acura RDX two blocks from my home in San Francisco in early January when I was T-boned by another driver at a 4-way stop. Fortunately, no one was hurt but my Acura sustained damage on the passenger side, especially around the wheel/tire area where the collision damaged the car's front suspension. My insurance company recommended Fix Auto Daly City to repair the vehicle. The Acura was towed there and within minutes, I was in touch with Mar Vic Vila at Fix Auto. She handled everything, even dealing with a rental car agency when I needed an extension while repairs were underway. Mar Vic remained in touch with me via email, phone calls and text messages to keep me updated throughout the whole repair process. When I picked up the car to bring it home, it looked brand new, as if it had never been in an accident. The new suspension gave the car a nice, firm ride and handling. I left the same review on Google, but I need to spread awareness on Marvic and her team's deceptive business tactics. If this review is too long, there will be a summary below. I wouldn't even really give one star after the experience I've had with this Fix Auto location. I was involved in an accident and had to have the car fixed without using insurance. Late June, I'd searched around for an auto shop and given location/convenience/cost, I chose this one because the manager (Marvic) had been overwhelmingly detailed in explaining what needed to be fixed and how her auto shop was the best because of how she didn't overcharge or want to waste anyone's time. After having my car checked, they stated it could be fixed in two or three weeks. I decided to stick with the shop and they apparently got to work on fixing it. I called after two weeks to check in to find that they hadn't even started with the car and that they were shopping around for the best parts and prices for me. I cut them some slack and they said they'd call me at the end of the week. When the time came, I received no call and called the following Monday. They would repeat the same message and let this drag on for weeks until my car had been in the shop for over a month and a half. I'd used their enterprise plan to rent a car at a lower rate while this was fixed. Initially I confirmed with Fix Auto about the time estimate because if it would cost more to rent a car than to fly home and pick up the family car to drive, I'd just pick up the family car. They insisted they could do a great fast job so I opted for the rental. Here's where three stars would go to one. I spoke with their repairman (Albert I believe) and he made a deal that if I waited for the car to finish, they'd pay for the remainder of my car rental. So I went with it, got the car fixed, and dropped off the rental. Just this week, I received a call from Enterprise stating that Fix Auto was no longer upholding their agreement to pay for the rental period they stated they would. The entire repair mess had been quite traumatizing for me and I knew that the staff could see it. They assured me that everything would be ok and they'd get things done quickly and safely. Instead, I don't think a single guarantee or promise had been kept. Bottom line, this is one of those shops that stereotypically tries to rip people off. I know I could've done my research better and been more careful, but time was of the essence with my car repair and these people took full advantage of that. I would avoid this location, but my previous experiences with other Fix Auto shops has been fine. In short: This auto shop will try to trick you into spending more than is required, will take their time, and will NOT honor their car rental agreements. It's the stereotype of shady auto shops and Marvic is the epitome of the shady salesman. Be warned if you decide Update: since my review was posted, I've noticed an influx of positive reviews flooding the page and google reviews. She's likely offering small rewards for others doing so, so take them with a grain of salt. read more

Fraud? Lies? Shoddy work? Call it what you wish. I have it documented on video and audio, and have shared the documentation with my insurance company. USAA members be especially aware! It's a long story. My 2016 Clubman was hit last year at the front driver-side. Since then, I've had multiple problems. TL:DR: Fix did not properly repair my vehicle. The strut was improperly seated causing myriad lingering problems which Fix denies, despite the evidence. 1. When I initially went to pick up my car the paint finish was totally orange peeled. Did they think I wouldn't notice? Evidently, they did. I pointed it out, and they fixed that. 2. When I got home from picking the car up, I found out my battery wasn't charging because the car had been in the shop so long that it didn't hold a charge. They should have known this since they had the car for about a month. 3. Eventually I start to hear a clunk from the repair area. I have it diagnosed from another shop that it's the left front strut bottoming out. My insurance warranty requires I return it to Fix to solve the problem. Multiple visits, and no resolution. Here's the rub... 4. The last time I brought the car in, I was told the inspection would be subbed out to the mechanic down the street to have the strut torn down and examined. After the initial accident, I installed a dashcam that records anytime someone walks in front of the vehicle. AND SO, the dashcam (date and time-stamped as well as GPS coordinates documented) shows that the car was never removed from the Fix location, and that the car was not in the repair bay long enough to tear down the strut to properly inspect it. The dashcam perfectly recorded between the top of my dash and the bottom of the lifted hood so you can see just about everything. I also have on recording where Marvic, the owner attested that they tore down the strut, and I also have a recording of the mechanic saying that he spent 20 minutes inspecting the area behind the wheel. After consulting with multiple experts, I have learned that it's not possible to tear down and inspect a strut in 20 minutes. Marvic refuses to return my used parts to me stating that they are for insurance purposes. This is a violation of consumer law. Finally, my insurance agency authorized me to take it to a reputable mechanic. He took everything apart and discovered that the strut was not properly seated when installed and over time everything wiggled out of place resulting in this mess. I could go on-there's more--I kid you not--but that's really enough as far as I'm concerned to ward people off. Not libel, because I have it all on video and audio. If it was one issue, I'd understand, but I've had multiple, ongoing issues. Marvic does her best to ignore me now and claims I'm just looking for problems. Well, of course I am, since I've had nothing but bad experiences with them over the last almost year. I have wasted dozens of hours of my time because Fix didn't repair my car from the outset. I wouldn't be going through all of this if they just did their job properly. If anyone has had problems with their vehicle after Fix on Mission has "worked" on it, I encourage you to reach out to the CA Bureau of Automotive Repair (https://www.bar.ca.gov/). It appears they will do an inspection if you think you have been fleeced. You can also file a complaint there. Marvic, if you're reading this. I sincerely hope that you will get your business on the straight and narrow. Had you owned up to your mistakes I'd give you some latitude, but you denying all of this makes it clear that you have a long way to go learning how to supervise the repairs being done by your employees and your subcontractors. Marivic and Tess left a great impression on me when I had to bring my husband's car to to be fixed under the other vehicle's insurance. I had a broken truck on my Lexus and went to 4 different places for quotes including Fix Auto and they gave me the best price and gave me the most thorough inspection. I couldn't believe the dealer's quote was actually 5x Fix Auto's quote . Marivic also tried to come up with options to try to save me even more money. She even included in the price fixing a bend molding and broken taillight on my vehicle. Marivic and Tess are honest, friendly and love to help and care about their customers. Avoid this place if you can - the repairs they did were so-so, but it took twice as long as their original estimate and we got zero information from them over the course of the timeline, we called them only to be told the timeline had been extended. The repair/garage staff seemed friendly enough, but the same cannot be said for their customer facing staff. I elected to give two stars since they did the job, but both the customer service and the repairs themselves were lacking. We had our car "repaired" here. Everything seemed fine and we had a road trip planned for Christmas Day. On that day it was raining and we were on the highway. All of a sudden all the lights on the dashboard come on and the car stops accelerating. This was scary we had our son in the car. We had to turn around and cancel our trip. We had family we were visiting that we have not seen due to COVID-19. I phone Fix Auto for help as we suspected they had not repaired our car properly. Due to the holiday we had to wait until Monday to contact them. Upon speaking to a representative they stated that it could not be their mistake and that they stood by their work. They offered for them to run an analysis but indicated that is all they could do. We were at a loss and asked for advice. Again they said they were not sure what they could do. I said we would take to dealer. They agreed that was best and I asked if they would reimburse. They said yes if they were at fault. After it was determined it was their shoddy work that caused the malfunction. I phoned spoke to Marvic and she said, I got you and provided an email. After not hearing from her. I emailed again. The email bounced back I resubmitted email to new email. Still did not hear back. I called to inquire and they said they could not read email. I dropped off paperwork. They phoned to say check is ready. I phoned to provide my address then was informed they are only paying half. They stated it was because I should have brought it to them! I said I would report them to insurance and write this review. Tess said to me, ok. So here it is. I took my car to get fixed and the work was very poor. The owner didn't want to help repair it completely even though I was using insurance that was going to cover it all. This is a Farmers preferred shop and they have nice equipment but the owner was very unprofessional about helping me take care of the car.
