This past winter has been too cold with wind chills to actually work on doing any cleaning on the car. I decided that now is a good time to make my vehicle a part of "spring cleaning." Twisted Auto Detail is located on Arctic Spur Rd between Arctic Blvd and W 81st Ave in the industrial area right by the Dowling bridge. The owner of the business, Norman, is a consummate professional and easy to talk to. The Memorial Day Weekend provided me with an extra day off from work and I wanted to use that extra time to get this done. He was able to get me an appointment on Friday at 8PM the day after I texted him on his website. I left the car overnight and came out to a brand new Jeep that looked like it came in off the showroom floor at the dealership. Norman did outstanding work in the interior areas especially the seats which were in need of some real cleaning. The exterior of the car likewise made it look like the day I drove it off the lot after purchasing it a year and a half ago. The one that really amazed me the most was how clean the engine was. It was full of dirt, grime, oil stains, and dead leaves. It looked like it came off the assembly line and the pictures provided will give you a good idea on how hard he worked on this car late into the night. At $450 for all the work, this was very reasonable for a mid-size vehicle like mine. Other places I checked had quoted a couple hundred dollars more for their services. I'm all about supporting small businesses like this and I encourage others on here to see him if you want your car detailed from top to bottom.

It took a long time to wait for the parts only to find out the wrong parts were ordered so I had to wait longer. Finally got my car in and had to wait for over a month to get it back and when I did they over charged me compared to the estimate. The paint department mixed the color wrong and had to redo it so I got charged for their mistake! With the other variables I was charged a extra $2000. When I got my car it had a broken windshield with the rear view mirror hanging off it and a hole in the glass so I had to replace a new windshield. The drivers door is scratched up and the interior material is cut like something went through the window with such force it broke the rear view mirror. Put a hole in the windshield and scratched up the door. With no explanation to what happened! It only needed the outside bumpers fixed it's hard to understand why the interior is damaged! They said they would fix it. I called. Couple weeks later and they haven't ordered all the parts. And no word yet what's going on. Mr. Kim said, "Just stop by" instead of scheduling an estimate appointment. When I stopped by that afternoon, he came right out to assess my scratches. I thought the paint damage had caused rust down to frame metal. Mr. Kim said, "That's plastic!" He left and came back with a wet rag and removed all of the "rust." I had a paint kit, and he gave me tips on how to apply it to the 2 small scratches that remained. I tried to offer him $20 for his time, but he firmly refused. I'll definitely call Mr. Kim if I need autobody work done in the future.

When I spied a sign for J & A Body Shop, I went inside. I met the owner, Tito. He looked at my car and told me he thought he could fix it pretty quickly. And sure enough, 90 minutes later it was done. My repair was very inexpensive, something for which a big shop in town probably would've charged three times as much. My car was new, manufactured in the USA, and had no airbag deployment. I have photos oif parts and part numbers under the hood from other brands and years. I told them to stop everything in September after seeing the first repair order that I did not authorize. I felt pressured into taking my car My insurance, Progressive, Classic Collision , although I reminded them multiple times of my correct VIN continue to send estimates and repair orders with someone else's VIN, even after acknowledging that it was wrong. I felt pressured into keeping my car there after the dealership I bought it from informed me they didn't do auto body repair. II was told the decision was mine where to take it, but Classic Collision refuses to release my car. I now have engine control system lights on and a chassis warning.. My engine control system lights and other malfunctions keep appending when they restart some weak battery, to remove and replace parts. I'm being charged $25 a day for them to "store" my car. The Anchorage Police Department won't help. My insurance provider won't help. They are in the same office building with Classic Collision. Effectively, it's like my brand new car has been destroyed and there is apparently no accountability for big multibillion dollar companies here in Alaska. I'm still paying $700 a month for my car I am approaching one year this month without my new car. I strongly encourage anyone whose insurance company, through the use of bad faith techniques, recommends you take your car to Classic Colllision, please read all the reviews and complaints on the BBB website. I don't think my review will be here long. I've noticed my earlier review floated around to another location. Any glowing reviews on a doctored website are fake. I never dreamed anything like this could happen. I worry about those who get their vehicles back with more damage. Attorneys here don't want to touch Classic Collision. We have to fight for accountability here. It's not just me. There are so many people who have been harmed by this company. Be warned!

Had to wait till the next day for the parts but Work was done in a timely manner. Part didn't look broken so just maybe it could have been resolved without replacing all the breaks.
