Awesome service. Brought my car to get my bumper fixed after a fender bender. Their estimate was super reasonable and they were absolute pros about the way they handled the job, from start to finish. The quality of the work they did was top notch and that alone deserves a five star review--but because of the stellar customer I won't ever bring my car anywhere else. I told them I'd need a rental car, so they reached out to the closed rental car company (walking distance, BTW) and asked them to give me a call to set it up. My car was ready two days ahead of schedule, and when I arrived to pick it up the bumper was perfect (the work I'd paid them to do), and they'd also replaced the battery in my key (because I'd mentioned it wasn't working when it dropped the car off), buffed out some scratches, and washed the car. I recently had some front bumper and condenser repair done here. I chose Alameda Collision because they were recommended through my insurance company. The entire experience from start to finish was great! First, they kept in touch with me via text message updates. This was extremely convenient for me, since I cannot easily answer my phone during the work day. Second, my car is a 2010 so the front bumper part is going to be aftermarket -- when the front bumper was repaired by a different shop in another state awhile back, it looked absolutely horrendous because it jutted out from the fender like a sore thumb. However, it was clear that the repair crew at Alameda Collision took the extra time to make this bumper look as flush with the fender as possible. Best of all, when I picked it up, the car had been detailed inside and out, which was such an unexpected and unbelievably nice surprise! I will definitely bring my car back here if it ever needs more body work -- although I sure hope it doesn't! read more

These guys are amazing. I had an almost impossible situation with my insurance company wanting to total my car and these guys helped me work it out so I could get my car back. Their communication was perfect with detailed explanations of work being done along the way. I started out at the Castro Valley shop and Russ helped me work it out. I could not open the drivers side door and had been climbing over to the passenger side to get out. I had let a previous repair lapse, but after my dear friend scraped the whole side of my car, I decided it was time to make the ol' Mazda pretty again. Dylan Lazo worked with Allstate to make sure that the estimate reflected the actual work, and though Allstate took its sweet time to revise the total, Alameda Collision had the car ready in a couple of days. The quality of the work is impeccable, and they went as far as to polish the headlight lenses and spill their good care beyond the repair areas. I was referred here by the guys at Big O Tires in Alameda, and came away happy with the minor work I had done. They repainted the trunk, popped out some dents, and polished up a few minor scrapes that had accumulated over the last 2 years. They did the work on time and didn't try to "upsell" me for unnecessary paint work (i.e. where I could touch up a couple of paint chips myself). Another perk: they are currently giving discounts if you pay cash, and you can also get a small discount at the rental car place down the street while your car is being repaired. When I was looking for places to get my car estimated all the shops in the area closed at 4:30 or 5:00, which didn't work with my schedule. We took our Honda Element to Alameda Collision Repair after I was hit on Hwy. 24 and the entire passenger side of the car was smashed in. We had an early AM apt. on a Monday to drop the car off, when we arrived they quickly brought our car into the bay and began the paper work, they said the car would be ready in 10 days and they handled everything with the insurance company. When it was time to pick up the car we couldn't make it down there that day so the car had to stay an extra day, they washed it and didn't charge us storage for keeping it an extra day. The repairs where so good we couldn't even tell anything had happened, everyone there is super accommodating and genuinely nice. Had my car sent here after a crash, was disappointed with the high estimate they gave my insurance company especially since they had not even took my car apart at all. The crash was not so bad to be deemed a total loss with just exterior damage. We'll their determination caused my insurance company to deem my car a total loss and pay me out for my car, which caused me to spend extra money on a new car. But all in all, I can't complain or rate their repair services, because we never had any work actually done after they claimed "total loss". read more

When a lady hit my car (while it was parked), she was honest enough to leave a phone number on my windshield. After the approval by her insurance, I got several estimates, and eventually decided to go with Alameda Collision Repair (spoke to Miguel), mainly because they are close to where I live, but also because it was recommended by a few close friends. I dropped my car off on a Monday morning (they will remind you to take the most forgotten items: garage remote, Fast Trak or parking pass). It was ready to be picked up by Friday, pretty speedy work consider the amount of damage. I also thank the lady's insurance company (State Farm) for the Hertz car rental courtesy during the period too (however, the car rental is a totally different experience, as I found out later, see my review of Hertz). The result came out superb as claimed by my friends (and many other Yelp reviews). They even went above and beyond by vacuuming and cleaning the whole car in and out, including shining the four tires as well. I felt like I was picking up a brand new vehicle. Granted, I didn't have to pay for the repair thanks to the honesty of the lady, but knowing their workmanship, I would have been willing to pay for the repair myself.
