5 Star Turf did a great job installing our Turf. I was very worried that since part of the yard was to be a putting green I wanted to make sure that some of the holes had character and not all just be straight putts or worse putt like a miniature golf course. They did not disappoint! The putting green is what I wanted and the rest of the yard looks great. The way they laid the turf around our tree with the roots showing makes it hard to tell that the yard is not natural. With our dog using the turf I was concerned that it would start to have a bad odor but so far even with hot days it has not been an issue. The quality of the turf is good and I love how it looks, however, install left much to be desired (they left a giant pile of dirt and rocks on my street, uncovered, which cars ran through and I had to sweep up at 7 am before they arrived the next day). It was scheduled to be a one-day job for my small square courtyard but they got there late so it took two. Not a problem other than the pile of dirt, but what was most disappointing is they assured me the yard would be level, (we had a slight dip in the middle), but the installers made no effort to level the yard. Shoppers BEWARE!!! I Was at the OC MARKET PLACE with my family and stopped by one the booths promoting synthetic grass. I explained to the rep that we had two large dogs that we wanted to install synthetic grass in their dog run. They sent a salesman (Mika) who told us that the grass was pet friendly and impossible for dogs to lift or destroy. We spent nearly $3000. Within 20 minutes after it was installed the grass was lifted and the 6 inch nails were exposed. I immediately called the office manager who sent the workers back to "fix it." 6 inch nails into dirt/sand did not secure the grass. Once again the dangerous nails were exposed and we had to wait 4 days before they returned to fix it. They repeated the same process and once again we ended up with dangerous nails exposed and our dog with an injured paw. They sold us this synthetic grass with the promise it would be safe and with a cost of $10 a square foot. They lied! I have tried contacting them via email and they have intentionally ignored my emails. Over priced, cheap craftsmanship, and false advertisement! Please avoid this place at all costs! read more

One of my best purchases in 2020 by far!! Mike showed up on time to evaluate the area we wanted to add pet turf to. After taking measurements he showed me several samples to choose from. Work and COVID caused a few month delay in adding the job to our calendar. What a beautiful difference that faux grass makes in the entire aesthetic of our back yard! Price was competitive. I had already signed a contract with another company but they couldn't get to my project for a month. When I asked Josh, the sales rep, about their grass, he totally sold me! On the positive side, their price was low. On the down side, we got less than we paid for. So much less! Instead of grass our company is now surrounded by a gravel yard with 1 gallon plants that are lost in a sea of gray or just plain dying. The effect is a prison compound. From the beginning we've had irrigation issues: from leaky manifolds to drip heads popping off to broken lines. They have promised to fix our problems many times and kept us waiting for dates they never kept. We have spoken with the owner and his employees many times. Months later they remain cordial on the phone but completely unresponsive (no show specialists). If you want a competitive price for a terrible product and no recourse, this is your company. I posted my review over a year ago & this all happened about 2 yrs ago & now your coming back & addressing my issues? Wow that's amazingly quick customer service your company provides. If you looked up our invoice you would've seen that we bought several different types of plants, but just this one was dying. It wasn't due to lack of water/sprinklers. Since you're the professionals we asked for your recommendations on drought torrent plants. Your sales person James provided us a folder of all your options we just picked out the ones we liked & trusted that you guys knew what you were doing.. The plants that we picked from your options should've only been planted in shade & not direct sunlight. So the majority of them all dried up & died. And yes after months & months of emails, calls, & voicemail's James finally responded & months later he did finally send someone out to replace only 15 of the dead plants. We had originally purchased 58 of these plants & there was 13 more that were still dead or dying. I was given some more promises that this was going to be fixed, but more calls, emails, & voicemail's & still to this day we haven't resolved the remaining dead plants. We had turf installed at our office. We don't use it so it is a great way to save some water. James was very nice and a knowledgeable salesman. For the install we had a few items that we wanted to make sure were done. 1. Lower an area 2. have nice smooth lines that went around our current palms 3. Install a drain pipe so we wouldn't have to mess up the grass after 4. Raise up a water access panel so it wasn't such a drastic down slope. They arrived quickly and had the grass out in no time. We noticed they started to prep the dirt without lowering the raised area so I talked them about taking it down and they lowered it a little bit. Within a couple days they were already laying the grass. They capped off the sprinkle lines and it was looking good. Once the grass was in we noticed the lines were jagged just like the original grass, the water panel wasn't touched and the drain was ok but wouldn't work well. We voiced our objections a few times, and they said they would have someone back to fix the drain and look at the lines on the edges. They came back to finish up the grass but left without correcting the lines, the drain, or the water access. The owners even came by and when I mentioned the issues they said quote "nothing we can do about it now" and blew me off. This is not a response I would expect from the owner of a company looking to generate more business. So even though the grass looks good I was left with a bad taste for the company and would not recommend them. read more

An experience that I do not want to have to ever go through again. I don't wish this level of service on anyone!! BUYER BEWARE! Their reps sell you a bill of goods then don't deliver on their promises. I had to adjust my schedule over three times to accommodate them. Excuse after excuse: the truck isn't working, the installers are in a different area, they promised to finish on a specific day and it didn't happen. I was promised one piece of turf and then it comes in multiple pieces. When I called to find out what happened, no answer of course and then more excuses! Typical run around. They are quick to ask for money and quick to deposit the check. When I called them on their promise, they completely backpedaled. I would find another turf company.
