I decided to make a same-day appointment for a deep tissue massage on a Monday and it was easy to make an appointment online. One thing that I appreciated was that the person at the front desk called me ahead of my appointment and asked what kind of pressure I liked as it was my first time visiting. She said she wanted to ensure that I was matched with a staff member who would best fit my preferences to ensure I had a good experience. I don't think I've had that done before the actual appointment at any other place so that was thoughtful. They even offered to take me in earlier if I was available. Once I walked in, I could tell it would be relaxing as the environment was very quiet and peaceful. As soon as I was out in a room and ready for the massage, the staff made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any areas I wanted them to focus on, to which I answered my lower back. I liked that they even checked in once they started applying more pressure to make sure it was okay. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience and as someone who sometimes tenses up during massages because it's too much, was able to a actually relax during my appointment and even dosed off a little. Even afterwards, my body feels great and the lower back pain has definitely improved! Overall, I would recommend coming here and would definitely come back to try their other packages.

Swedish massage, medium, not too hard. Most massage spas offer soft, medium, or hard pressures. I prefer soft to medium. That's exactly what I ask with Susan and that is what I receive. If you want a hard deep tissue massage, I'd recommend Carmen. She's very experienced and knows exactly where your pain or discomfort is, and believe me, she will definitely get your pain out. Depending on your pain, depends on how much pressure Carmen will put on you. Two different times, Jenny (the owner) performed Thai massages on me. She does not offer that massage. She only performed Thai massage because I have been going there for years. Omg, that was so painful. However, when I walked out, my body was like jello. At that time, I didn't live far away. I was able to drive home and fell right to sleep, waking up totally refreshed. Today, Susan worked on me. I always get a 90 minute massage, which costs $98, plus I give 25 to $30 tip. That's just me. My tip is giving extra thanks. Today, though, I caught myself snoring twice. I love Health Day Spa. It's dark, always quiet unless a guest is talking loud. There's soft relaxing music playing. As I have mentioned before, everyone that works there does not speak English well. I suggest you speak slowly and clearly, or use your Google translator, as I do. Jenny, Bill, and maybe a couple other employees will understand English. I have also mentioned, if you want a happy ending, go somewhere else. Health Day Spa is 100% legit, with trained massage therapists.

I thought that was odd but we paid for it. We were sent to a room with my friend and I together. When it was time for our massage, my friend received a Swedish massage and my masseuse was standing on top of me. The whole time they were talking during our service. I was confused why my lady wasn't doing a Swedish massage but I let it go. I wasn't in the mood to say something. They were giggling and whispering loud throughout the session. When we're done it was time for us to leave and we gave them cash tip. The lady who I tipped raised her voice on me and demanded more. I told her that's all I had. She gave me the worst attitude and stormed off. Please do yourself a favor, there are better and professional places than this. To me it felt like they don't care about the service they provide for their clients but focused on the money. It seems like a lot of people experienced bad service here. Also the lady who stood on me for my massage was a big back so I had difficulty breathing at some parts of the massage. And she was the one who kept talking and laughing during my service and had the audacity to pop off on me for not giving her more tip. Ridiculous.

The person who worked on me didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. There was no real technique or flow, just random elbow pressure on my back the entire time. I even asked for more pressure, hoping it would improve, but she just kept using her elbows in a way that felt uncomfortable and unskilled. On top of that, she kept stopping throughout the session, which made the whole experience feel disjointed and unprofessional. What made it worse is that she didn't even massage my hands, arms, or feet, which I would expect from a full 60-minute massage. And to be clear, I didn't even get the full time. We started around 6:52 PM, and she left around 7:35-7:40 PM. That's not 60 minutes. Another thing that really bothered me was how the oil was removed. She used a dry tissue or paper towel to wipe my back, which felt rough and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, my husband's masseuse used a proper warm/wet towel on him. I don't understand why the service was so inconsistent between the two of us. I left feeling worse than when I came in. My back actually felt strained, like a nerve was irritated from the random elbow pressure. I was visibly upset and honestly didn't feel like tipping, but still left $5 out of courtesy. Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for something that's supposed to be relaxing. I wouldn't return based on this visit.

Fortunately, the masseuses were cordial during our massages in the couples room, and they did a good job delivering a satisfying deep tissue treatment. My bf had the massage table with the bars hanging from the ceiling above, so he got a bit of back walking from his massage therapist. He was satisfied with the pressure and technique. I was all good without the ashiatsu. I loved the strong pressure and my masseuse's ability to find and focus on my knots in my back, shoulders, and legs, using her fingers and elbows. Finally, she came into my room and tried to explain to me (in broken English) that she was so busy that she wouldn't be able to do the massage(?). Instead, she offered to refund me $20. I told her that I was not in agreement and desired to have the hour-long massage that I had paid for. However, she denied that request, pretended not to understand my English, and refunded me $20.
