Large puddles are no challenge for these awesome tires. I don't have enough words of praise for the tires and the service I received from employees. Thank you to all.

I was…read moretraveling back to Idaho from a fishing trip on the peninsula when I noticed something wrong with my boat trailer just as I was driving into Aberdeen. The guys at Les Schwab said I'd need a new axle, and the whole process would take several days, so I had no choice but to go back to Boise and leave my boat and trailer. After a LOT of back-and-forth about the repair over the phone, where I was doing most of the problem-solving, they finally ordered the axle and agreed to have it fixed the following Saturday. I checked with the shop on Friday to be SURE everything was ready to go before making the 550 mile trek again. Darren said it was a go. While I was arriving in Portland and turning north on I-5, the shop called to say the supplier sent the wrong axle. I had to turn around and drive 8 hours back to Boise. I found out after contacting Les Schwab headquarters, that the shop actually ordered the wrong axle. The shop manager Daryl had lied when they blamed the supplier for sending the wrong part. The store had ordered a 79" axle and my trailer is a 89". Instead of just coming clean and admitting they had made a mistake, Daryl made up a really stupid completely unbelievable lie. I spent 15 hours of driving and $350 in gas and lodging to pick up my trailer, only to have to turn around and then drive back again the next weekend. They also insisted that they must make a profit even after their mistake and charged me double what the axle cost according to the PAPERWORK I insisted that they give me. The axle cost them $200 and they charged me $399. They still charged me freight after they ordered the wrong axle. To add insult to injury, they attached the left wheel fender crooked and 15 gallons of gas was mysteriously missing from my boat fuel tank! The whole experience was a nightmare and not what I have come to expect from working with a formerly reputable company like Les Schwab. The store manager Daryl is a liar, unethical, and a terribly dumb person. Tim, the customer service rep at corporate, who at least admitted that the store manager had lied to me and agreed to allow me to have the original paperwork to prove the lie, was no better when I said that I wanted him to make things right to avoid small claims court. It was my bad luck that my trailer broke down so far from home, but I think they should have reimbursed me for the mistake they made instead of trying to cover it up with lies. Do not---let me say this again---do not go into this store. I'll bet old Les would be less then proud to have his name attached to the people in this shop.

Nothing like being 600 miles from home and your local dealer, and having car problems. Found the dealership using Hondalink in my car. We crossed our fingers and drove there hoping they could take a look knowing we couldn't stop or our car might not start again. When we arrived we were met by Tyler who agreed to immediately take a look. It was 2:15pm on Monday. My husband is knowledgeable and had already identified a service bulletin for the problem. After explaining to Tyler the issue he suggested we walk down the block to a restaurant and give them an hour. So that's what we did. Upon returning they were test driving the car. They updated the computer issue and replaced the battery all under warrantee. They also washed and vacuumed my car! I think we were there all of 75 minutes and back on the road. This was customer service at its finest. We thought our vacation was going to be ruined but instead we just stopped for "lunch break". Thank you again to Tyler and the service team!!!

Additionally, Todd and his sales manager have approved multiple test drives of both used and new vehicles. We've considered a wide array of options from compact SUV, mid-size SUV, and then finally the inevitable minivan (which we actually really enjoyed) and have been given the space to enjoy the car shopping process. Only once have we experienced the slightest amount of pressure to act fast, and even then the salesman's implication may have been truthful rather than the sales tactic most consumers resent. Have we sealed the deal? Not yet, but we're dangerously close to pulling the trigger. Even after almost 2 months of consistent car shopping with three different dealerships, an occasional text message and/or e-mail letting us know Aberdeen Honda has our business in mind and is ready to help whenever we're ready, is as intense as it gotten. This is precisely the genuine and family-friendly front of house sales experience my wife and I like. Thanks Todd and Michael! You've been great. We'll be in touch gentlemen.

Five Star Toyota - Oil leak to a cardboard and driveway

had a great experience with Five Star Toyota in Aberdeen, Washington, and wanted to share a quick…read morereview. My salesman, Gary, was courteous, polite, and clearly worked hard to get me the best deal possible. The pricing in Aberdeen seems very competitive--honestly some of the best I've seen. They made a real effort to put together a deal, and although we ultimately didn't come to an agreement, that was more on me for aiming a bit higher than they could go. Their offer was already quite strong, so I have no complaints there. Throughout the entire process, I was treated with respect and professionalism. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in the market--they're a dealership that genuinely works to earn your business.

Buyer Beware - Disappointed Long-Time Toyota Owner…read more I have driven Toyota vehicles my entire life. Every Toyota I've owned has lasted over 300,000 miles. I trust the Toyota brand deeply, which is why this experience with Five Star Toyota in Aberdeen has been so disappointing. We needed a reliable vehicle for farmers markets and decided to purchase a used 2015 Toyota Sienna from Five Star Toyota. The van had been their dealership service vehicle. They had two 2015 Siennas--one still in use and one that had been parked on their lot for about three years. Before purchasing, I specifically asked for maintenance records and was provided them. The battery had died due to sitting unused and was replaced. Most importantly, Service Manager Jayson Lockett told us there were "absolutely no leaks." That assurance was critical in our decision. In hindsight, there were warning signs. The salesperson even said that if he were me, he wouldn't buy this vehicle. I assumed he was referring to cosmetic issues (scratched hood paint, cracked leather seats, peeling rubber trim, etc.). I trusted the dealership's reputation, awards on the wall, and what I believed was the integrity of a large, established business. Shortly after driving the van home (a 3-hour drive), I discovered oil leaking onto my driveway. Two independent shops confirmed two separate leaks: * Axle seal * Timing cover gasket I made multiple 6-hour round trips back to Aberdeen. They repaired the axle seal after negotiation. For the timing cover gasket, dye was added. Later I was told the leak was just a loose drain bolt from an oil change elsewhere and that it had been "fixed." I was told it only counts as a leak if oil drips to the ground -- yet when I placed cardboard under the van, it continued to drip. After three long trips and extensive communication, I negotiated directly with the owner, Allen Erickson. He agreed in writing to reimburse $1,000 as goodwill if I completed repairs locally and signed a release. After I requested the goodwill release for signature, communication stopped and I have not received the reimbursement. The timing cover gasket repair estimate is over $4,000 at the dealer and about $2,800 at an independent shop, meaning I still need to invest a significant amount out of pocket. I understand used vehicles are sold as-is, and I accept that I cannot prove the leaks existed before purchase. However, it is difficult to understand how a vehicle described as having "absolutely no leaks" developed two separate leaks immediately after I drove it home. After multiple 6-hour drives and months of communication, I no longer wish to spend more time pursuing this. I am writing this review so others in the Aberdeen community can make fully informed decisions. I trusted the dealership's reputation and assurances. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that reputation. I hope future buyers carefully inspect any vehicle and obtain an independent inspection before purchase.
