This place blows. I bought a 2022 Chevy Malibu and these guys couldn't even get it right on what the bank would accept as proof of address. Then tell me they didn't know I only lived in my place for two weeks because online I said a month and should've already gotten a bill of some kind, in my name. Well online? Only gives you the option of choosing "months" not "weeks" so I couldn't put 2 weeks And to see other sales guys posting pics with the customers and the vehicles they got them in to, when Chris who sold me the car? Can't even be present when I pick it up to shake my hand or say thank you?? Yeah, fuck that guy. Had I not liked the car so much? I would've NEVER completed the purchase with these d bags. I got a pre-purchase inspection on a 2006 Ford E-450 from these guys. They told me the undercarriage of the truck has "a little bit of rust, but it's a normal amount for the year and for the PNW--nothing to worry about." Well, take a look at the photos and see for yourself. You only find that bad of rust on abandoned vehicles. You can also see in the photos that the exhaust line has a giant crack in it and might fall off soon, and one of the metal rods holding the exhaust line has rusted through and broken off completely, so it's no longer supporting it. When I went to test drive the vehicle myself, I was really stressed out, and I forgot to check out the rust myself and instead relied on the pre-purchase inspection, and I ended up purchasing the vehicle. Honestly, I waited a long time to leave a review for Five Star Ford because I was also really angry at myself for having missed this obvious rust issue; however, after thinking about it again recently, I was incredibly disappointed with the fact that these supposed "professionals" think that this is a totally normal amount of rust for the year and for the PNW. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the rest of the inspection was okay, but not great. They identified some pretty obvious issues, but they also missed others. read more

My F150 pickup had a coolant leak while we were staying at Lake Quinault Lodge. I discovered it on Saturday afternoon so looked for a Ford dealer nearby. I called Five Star Ford in the Aberdeen area and talked to the service manager. He told me they couldn't schedule me for several weeks! We were on our way headed south, planning to be home before Christmas. That did not matter to him. I then scanned through other repair shops in the area and found Honda of Grays Harbor still open. They told me to come in Monday at 8 a.m. and they had my water pump replaced and we were back on the road by 11:30 a.m. I can't tell you what a difference we found between the Ford dealership and the Honda dealership. If I could give 0 stars to their service department I would. I was short on time so I took my Jeep (bought from here) to the service department for an oil change. Now that it's time to change the oil again I get under there and the plug is so tight that I can't get it off even using a breaker bar or impact drill. I shouldn't have to use an air tool to take the plug off!! It should have been 1/4 turn on a hand ratchet past hand tight. Obviously they don't give any fucks about other people's vehicles or doing the simple job correctly. Thankfully the plug didn't strip or break the head off. So far beyond disappointed it's ridiculous. You'd be better off going somewhere else or doing it yourself. read more

Several years ago, I purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid from the dealership. In general, I haven't had any problems with it. in early June, there was a recall. As soon as I found out about it (via an email from Chrysler), I scheduled a time to bring it in to be checked and see if it was affected. It turns out that my car is one of the one affected. I am not allowed to pick up my car or use my car, because it is too unsafe. There is no estimate of when Chrysler will have a plan to fix it. So at this time, I am having to make car payments on a car that I don't have. The car is so unsafe that the dealership has to park it outside, away from other cars, with everything electrical disconnected because of the risk of spontaneous fire (this is according to Chrysler). So, it is now covered in seagull poop, with everything torn apart and no idea when or if I will ever get it back. I was already considering downsizing the number of cars I have before this begun. Up until today, the dealership (who clearly has all the information) was willing to give me $20,000 for the car, which I was OK with. Now, however, they have decided that they will not buy the car and I'm stuck. Of course, if I had one of the same year, make and model that had NOT been found to be defective, they would still buy it for $20,000 - but because it failed the recall, it is completely worthless to them. Five Star Ford was exceptional from start to finish. We will definitely be going there for purchases as long as we live in the area. My husband and I went to look at vehicles a week before we decided to make a purchase. This is when we got introduce to Gary. Gary was super kind and he truly listened to what we wanted, especially the fact that we were just looking. He was not pushy, nor did he try to make the sale. He assisted us with finding the trade in value on my car and with any other questions we might of had. Gary felt like a friend by the time we left. He even offered to send information via text with any new vehicles that might come in, as we were looking for something specific. A week later, we decided to make the purchase on the new vehicle. We continued to work with Gary who made the whole buying process smooth and easy. The weekend we did all this we not only walked away with one but two cars, one for me and one for my husband. We absolutely LOVED the service provided by Gary and another gentleman (I'm sorry with forgot your name). However, no matter who we talked too, they all provided excellent customer service. My vehicle wouldn't start, so I towed it to 5star in aberdeen (next to burger king). I paid 515 in parts and 550 in labor costs for a fuel pump malfunction. Okay they did it in a day and i was happy with the timely manner because i had to go to Portland airport for a trip. On my way (40 mins of having the car back), the check engine light came on. So, I rode it out and made it to Portland and back, having a vacation during the process. I went back to 5star and told them this story, and they wanted another $150 to diagnose the light coming on.... nope, not today 5star. Went to early tire on port dock instead. Better service, and they stand behind their work. AVOID 5STAR AT ALL COST Update: early tire looked at it, it was a leak 5star caused when installing the fuel pump Update2: returned to 5star telling them the issue that early tire told me. They agreed to hold onto it and see if it needs more repair and cost (their error they will fix) stars pending what they say/do. Update3: since I started this saga, I've run into brick wall after brick wall. I can tell you my mistake first, when I went back (OP) and spoke to the employee, I left when he gave me an answer I didn't like. My error is just that, instead of leaving, I should've spoke to the manager (service parts). I've found the managers to be attentive and wanting to give 5 star "it's name" as the other manager said. After speaking to the manager and explaining I paid for the first diagnosis, and this issue should've been caught/resolved then if it was something new, he agreed to hold onto it for me (update2). I got my car back today after just leaving it with them, and they couldn't replicate the issue and said they cant work on it until the check engine light comes back on. But at least they cleaned it up and tried and said come back if the light comes on. We'll see if my vehicle issues come back TBC?!? read more

The service was horrible. The employees that work there were talking about their futures. Kn was saying this was her last day there. The employee that was helping me was saying this was his last week. I told him that I had a claim for body damage that was done to my truck with my insurance company, we went out and looked at the damage. He asked, "why don't you keep the money and go on vacation or something?" I said, " really? It's my truck! Why would I want a pickup I just paid alot of money for, and drive with a dented door? He said it's just a pickup. That really made me mad. He never asked me for my claim number or wanted my appraisal advisor or insurance adjustors. I highly recommend going to Northwest Collision. Phenomenal, exceptional, awesome, helpful, painless and easy aren't words you would normally hear when describing a dealer experience but trust me my sales team at Rich Hartman's Five Star Dealerships in Aberdeen, Washington were that and more. I was looking for a 2018 Lincoln Navigator to replace our old minivan (something nice for my wife to drive) and came across a very well-equipped low mile Navigator at Five Star Fold Lincoln. I figured I'd just call them and see what the details were on the SUV. I call and started up a conversation with Pat Noll at the dealership and just chatted about the SUV, why it was leased for only a year (owners' daily driver) and other pertinent information. Pat was open and answered all my questions without trying what I call the dealer conversation (monthly payment, etc.). I finally got to the point and told Pat what I was willing to pay for the Navigator, he didn't seem phased and simply let me know that he'd call the dealership owner and ask if he would accept my offer, simple as that. About an hour later I get a call from Pat, and he lets me know that we have a deal (remember the easy word above). So, we go through the normal conversation about a car deal. I tell him I'm going to finance through my own bank, once again; no, "well you should finance through us;" he simply asks what interest rate I was getting, tells me he probably can't match that and proceeds to getting everything handled. At this point he needs to hand me over to one of the financial managers and I think, uh oh, here we go. I get handed over to Bud Erickson and all my fears are alleviated very quickly. Pat has briefed Bud on the car, the financial information and the agreed deal. Bud runs me through the numbers, doesn't even try to up-sell me on anything and emails me a contract with nothing more on it than Five Star's standard document fee (clearly documented on their website) and a trip permit fee to drive the SUV back from Washington to California. Pickup day comes; the dealership sends a driver to pick me and my wife up from the airport. We get to the dealership and within an hour we're in the SUV driving around doing some sightseeing in Seattle. I could go on forever but I want to be really clear! I can't reiterate how great Rich Hartman's Five Star Dealerships, Pat Noll and Bud Erickson were to buy a car from. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership and their sales team to anyone, which is why I'm writing this review. Everything was seamless from start to finish. You can't go wrong trusting these guys. On a quick side note, I didn't even look at the SUV before I purchased it. I know it sounds stupid, but the number of pictures that they provided to me and the description provided the sight picture I needed. The Navigator exceeded my expectations when I picked it up. They even included new floor mats while leaving the older, almost new ones in the SUV, new wireless headphones and a myriad of perks I was surprised at. Five Star like the name says. I recently purchased a truck here which immediately had a significant Problem. Five Star was very accommodating and took care to make the sure the problem was fixed even having to go to great lengths. It was the rightt thing to do and it is nice to know that there are still many businesses out there that do and expect the right thing even at great cost to them. A business really is its reputation. In May my granddaughter was in a fender bender. Hardly any damage. Waited until July 1st to get my car into 5 star where I had purchased it in 2017. Brand new car 2016 Chrysler 200 with a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty. 1400.00 in damages. Easy fix? Oh hell no two weeks later found more damage. Damage estimate doubled. Then more damage. Triple now 5900.00. Insurance company (they know insurance but nothing about cars, I guess) let them inflate. NOT one time did anyone call me. I would always have to call, leave a message, but call back several times to find out what was going on. Not once did they call me. I was promised car would be done on the 11th, 16th, 22nd and 25th of July. I finally got my car on the evening of the 31st. Drove home about 28 miles and parked it in the garage. A few days later I drove to Astoria (58 miles) and the car overheated. Like temperature all the way to the top, lights flashing etc. Cooled it down (it was 65 degrees outside) . No coolant!!! could not get the cap off as it was too hot. So limped home and took it in to local mechanic put in coolant and said air bubble, which really shouldn't happen or should I say rarely happens in new cars. Mind you while waiting to get it into the shop for repairs, nothing was wrong with this vehicle. It ran just fine and was told by two mechanics it was fine to drive it. I had a scratched bumper!!. Two days later another light came on. Drove to my mechanic who is 4 blocks from my house. Code said shutters not working which is probably because of the overheating. I said yes I had to wait for new shutters that was like the 2nd from the last thing 5 star added on. Called my insurance company and was told to take it back to 5 star!!! WHY, but okay called them and of course they never called me back so called them again. Basically was told NOT THEIR PROBLEM!! They did nothing to my vehicle that would cause any overheating or shutter problems but if I wanted to bring it in they could look at it and see if there was damage they didn't find that could make the insurance company pay for. Took it back down to my mechanic to have him go through it and see what the issues are. Besides everything above car was blowing oil out the front, was a quart and a half low on oil and now engine has a tiny ping in it. GREAT!! Coincidental??? I don't think so. I kick myself everyday for taking my car into 5 star. I was told by three other people how bad they were, but thought oh they can't be that bad. YES they are. So if you are looking for a used car and go to 5 star DO NOT BUY THE WHITE 2016 CHYSLER 200 with 30,000 miles on it. Every time I called and got lied to my friend would later ask me "well have they totaled it yet"? It was suppose to be a joke, but not so funny anymore. Have no idea how they could of messed up so bad. But I am not about to let them bully me into thinking it wasn't their fault. I just replaced my 15 year old car with a new one purchased here from Carlos Moreno. This was difficult for me because I still loved that car and really wasn't ready for a new one but multiple major repairs would cost way more than the car was worth so it was time. So, I didn't go car shopping excited. I was totally dreading out. Carlos took away that dread. What a wonderful guy to work with, I went there multiple days for numerous test drives, would go home and scour reviews then return to Carlos to pepper him with questions, then do more research, return with more questions, requested a specific model, color,and options that they didn't have in stock so they had to trade with another dealer. In the end, I got the car I want at a price below the prices that Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds said was a fair price to pay. All the staff were pleasant and patient so, if you can't get Carlos, I'm sure anyone there would be good to work with. So, pleasant experience and great price! Yeah, I recommend this place. They have botched repairs on two different occasions, then tried to evade responsibility, feigning ignorance of the problem. Once, after buying a set of tires from them, about 1,000.00, the even left the lug nuts loose on a front tire, and my wife almost got into a serious accident because of it. I bought a car six months ago, took the car in the next day because the transmission is shuddering and slipping. They told me it was "normal" and I was like okay so 5 months later it's gotten really bad, it would slip in neutral by itself so I took it back in and they decided they'd put a new clutch in the transmission. Said the clutch burned out. Great! Or so I thought.. Well, they manage to crack the tranny open and get the new clutch in and put back together in less then three hours.. the first thing I asked was how long before something goes wrong, it shouldn't be done this early.. they said its fixed and it drives great. Took it home, drove to monte to pick up my sister and now my car doesn't start at all.. finally starts, take it home and took it to work the next day and it won't start a second time.. took it back to five star and I quote from Terry in the service department "it's not our fault".. whatever just fixed it please.. they keep it a week and tell me there's nothing wrong with it and so last night I drive it home. Drives normal.. get in it this morning and my cruise doesn't work, I start going over a bridge and my entire steering column locks up completely so I can't turn at all. I put it in neutral and hit the brake and got my steering back, but while it's in neutral the radio shuts off entirely.... and my battery like is on.. this car had less then 30,000 miles on it. But once again, and I quote, Terry from the Service department said "we don't know why but it's normal for the steering to lock up"... are you serious? So it's safe to say, I'll never by another vehicle from five star again.... some of the most unprofessional people I've dealt with.. read more

On June 30, 2015 we dropped off our 2014 Lincoln MKX for some warranty work. Having made prior arrangements and told they may need to keep the car for a few days no problem because the Lincoln program will provide a vehicle of comparable quality. We thought our Chevy van would be finished with it's warranty work (see additional complaint under Five Star Dealership) it was not and the Five Star Lincoln Dealership did not have a vehicle for us to use. The sales people at the Five Star Chevy Dealership came through with a loaner for us to use until the Lincoln Dealership could find us a vehicle. On July 2, the service person handling the Lincoln called early am and said everything was finished except for wiper sensor that would be in that afternoon. Not having heard from anyone by Monday July 6 we called to see what the status was and were told the part still had not come in and they had a trace on the part. I called the General Manager Mr. Mike he was surprised to hear about the problems with the Chevy van and why the problem with the missing replacement part would look into the problem. The bottom line is there was no service provided with either vehicle involved without us having to raise cane. Five Star is a wonderful place to buy vehicles (we have bought 4) but look someplace else for service because they don't know what the word means. read more
