WOW - worst service I've ever experienced…read more If you have a schedule to follow, don't plan on it with this company. They have now missed 3 appointments with me where I have cancelled half a day's work to be available for them, and they're blaming me. READ ON, because it really gets funny with how stupid this person who answers the phone thinks I am. 1st - we had an appointment for our stove to be looked at almost a month ago, and they missed the first appointment we had scheduled on the books because they said we didn't reply to a text message that they never sent. So we had to rebook our first appointment. 2nd - we booked an appointment for last week to install the part, and when I waited around and called at the end of my time window, I was told that the owner had some emergency and they tried contacting me via text and phone call, but I didn't respond. When I asked what number they called & texted from, they gave me 2 phone numbers. I looked them both in my phone call and text history over the past month, and there is nothing there from them. Thinking maybe they had my number wrong, I verified they had it correct, and they did have my phone number. So I booked an appointment for today, in the morning time so I can get to work this afternoon, and confirmed it and added the time to my calendar last week while on the phone with them to make sure we didn't miss it. Today comes and no one shows up. So I call the company, and the same lady answered from last time, again tells me it's my fault they missed their appointment. NOW GET THIS She told me I didn't respond to messages to confirm. I confirmed while on the phone last week with her. But also to prove my point, I asked her to confirm when she sent the message because I'm not seeing them on my phone at all, yet again. She said, "it's her personal phone she sent them from and she deletes them right after sending them so she can't tell me when she sent me the messages. EVEN FUNNIER She told me that someone showed up at my door last Friday to fix the stove and I wasn't there. I didn't have an appointment last Friday, I had an appointment for today, and she's acting like I missed my appointment last Friday when she's agreeing with me that I didn't have an appointment last week, but had 1 for today. She then accused me of not responding to messages and that's why they showed up last Friday at random. Because they had an appointment cancellation, so they tried showing up here, and because I wasn't here at a time I did NOT have an appointment for, it's somehow my fault I missed them. Again, I asked her to tell me dates and times she sent messages and called, because they're not on my phone history, and she can't give me dates and times at all. So now here I sit with my stove still broken 3 weeks after our initial appointment, and I'm going to find another company to come fix my stove.

Maple Mountain has great customer service. They had wood-fired pizzas for customers. And they were good. The owner, Matt, showed me around his store front and warehouse. They have about fifty fireplaces and stoves. Matt has worked in fire place installation with his Dad since he was 15. I trust that he will do a professional installation in addition to selling affordable products. Another thing I liked was the smell of the place. They were burning cherry wood. I imagine a cabin in the mnts, snowboarding, coming home to a cherry wood burning stove would be pretty sweet! I definitely recommend checking this place out.

I usually post positive reviews and rarely negative reviews…read more Main problem: Horrific customer service, major headache to deal with. I do not recommend Maple Mountain Fireplaces. If you want a business that cares for its customer, then this is not the one to use. While all nice people, they were just not concerned about the client. Doug, the sales manager, was overly confident and said things could be done that couldn't. The project was supposed to be a 9-5 job and completed in a day. It took 3 days, and this wasn't entirely because of complications. At least two of the days were due to their own fault. The pre-inspection was shoddy and they blamed it on their phone person, Tori, for not "checking a box". They were completely unprepared at the day of installation. The core cement drill wasn't scheduled at the time of the installation due to their oversight. The process was very stressful, they never had me draw a diagram and at 9:50 AM, 10 minutes prior to show up, Doug was on the phone with me asking for dimensions of the fireplace and asking how I wanted the venting and what sizes, how high, etc. This was crazy 10 minutes prior to installation! I wasn't even home to take measurements, but having this conversation while I was driving home from work. I was originally told I didn't even need to be there when they arrived. Thankfully, I was there to explain (a 2nd time, after the pre-inspection) what I was hoping to have done. The guys who installed the fireplace, Devan and Mike, were great. They worked very hard and were very understanding for the mistakes their bosses made. Bottom line, I would have had no issues if they could actually make this hellish experience right. After the major headache, they took off a $100 travel fee (because I'm in Salt Lake County) and then gave me another $100 bucks due to having to put my dog in daycare for 3 full days. This was not even close to the amount of stress and BS they put me through for an expensive gas fireplace. I just asked that the business be fair and perhaps help with some of the finishing repairs, for example. I spoke with Matt, the owner, about issues he should be aware of. (At least, I would want to know them if I was the owner.) He stated he would call me back the next day in the afternoon, of course with their far-from-exemplary-customer-service, he never called back. I recommend any other fireplace company and I'm regretting not using Uintah Fireplace and Design. RE: MAPLE MOUNTAIN'S FALSE/INACCURATE Reply: The call from Doug was completely last minute and he was totally unprepared for the job. You make it sound like the location was a last minute change. This location change was sent in an email on 1/23/20. The installation date was 2/11. 20 DAYS prior to the installation. That was more than enough time to confirm measurements rather than 10 minutes prior to showing up for the install. Yes, it took 3 days. You started on Tuesday, 2/11. Wednesday was the core drill. The framing and construction was finished Thursday. My house was a construction zone Tuesday-Thursday which equals 3 days. Far difference from a one day, 8 hour job I was told. Finally, I never threatened a bad review. In fact, I wanted to refer you to my brother who wants to install a fireplace and I stated that I didn't want to refer you unless you were more fair due to your mistakes. Re finishing work: Once you said you were wrong about the pre-inspection and the ceiling would need to be cut up, I asked for the finish work to be taken care of due to Doug misleading me during the pre-inspection. Here's the series of incompetency: During pre-inspection, no need to cut ceiling. 70% of framing done and then the ceiling needs to be cut up, contrary to pre-inspection. I ask for help with finishing if the ceiling is cut due to your error. No help offered, whatsoever. Thankfully, caring employees, Mike and Devan, stated they would find a way to avoid cutting the ceiling, and they did. You're lucky to have those two.

Every color, pattern, combination seems pretty readily available. This place is a must if you have a wedding to go to with an out of the ordinary color because they would likely have it. They also have a nice selection of bowties, some pocket squares, fancy vests, and tie bars with cufflinks. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area. This place reminds me so much of a similar store from San Jose that closed down a few years back. I'm glad there's still places offering variety for the sort of accessories instead of just buying blend colors and popular patterns.
