We reached out to get a quote for permanent lighting and had a very negative experience. The representative, Alex, was rude and dismissive from the beginning. When we mentioned we were gathering multiple quotes, he immediately responded by saying they were not cheap and implied that if we were looking for the cheapest option, they weren't for us. This felt unprofessional and based on assumptions about our budget. Comparing quotes is a normal part of making an informed decision--not just for price, but for customer service and product knowledge as well. Unfortunately, neither was demonstrated here. To make matters worse, the quote we received afterward was for the wrong house, showing a lack of attention to detail. Absolutely amazing company! The lights last, unlike other companies. Do not go anywhere else unless you want lights that go out shortly after installation. My home looks gorgeous with Jelly's gleaming lights. The way Jelly installs them behind a track gives a clean look. The other lighting companies drill holes in your rain gutter, which causes wet wire outages. Stay away from Everlights at all costs! I'm surprised Everlights doesn't have a class action suit against them after reading all their one star reviews. I'm a happy Jellyfish customer and will share my positive experience with all my family and friends. read more

The measure of good service isn't when things are going good, it's when they are going against you. I want to update my Jellyfish experience and highly endorse them. I will leave the "one star" review for backstory as it adds the why I am moving them to five star now. A few weeks ago I was contacted by the CEO of Jellyfish. We talked through my previous experience and while empathetic and apologetic, he wasn't full of lip service or hollow excuses. He was honest with me, explained the issues from his side and told me he disliked my review here and the big Google. After we talked through what had happened he said "let's fix it." And that's what they did. They sent out someone new to measure and made it right by me. Full disclosure: Jellyfish took it in the shorts but I'm convinced it was more to satisfy a customer than to kill a couple of online reviews, but I'll amend those anyway. Installation went great with a few small issues. There was some damage to an under-eave light (they replaced it immediately) and we couldn't get the wi-fi to synch (they sent a tech the next day.). Again, both examples of great customer service. I'm one customer. And these guys have spent an extreme amount of time to right what I believed was a wrong. That says a lot. The lights are cool. They're the best on the market and I'm sure they will perform great for a long, long time. I have NO idea all of the things they are capable of but the 10 year old thinks they are cooler than a video game. I'll have them dialed in before the next holiday or football season ;) read more

I got the trim lights around the eaves of my house about two yours ago and LOVE THEM. The customer service is great too. just added some in the front yard, flower beds, and suspended in the air over the pool. They are AMAZING!!! We've been considering installing lights for a while now. We responded to a Jellyfish ad and had Danny come and give us a quote. The quote seemed high ($9900 to do the perimeter of our house), so I told him I wanted to get some other quotes before we made a decision. He immediately started badmouthing the competition and telling me why the competition's lights were inferior to Jellyfish. The next day, he followed up with me via text and asked if we had made a decision. I was tied up in meetings at the time and couldn't respond and then had a busy night and didn't get back to him (totally my bad). He sent me another message this morning (not even 48 hours after getting the bid) asking if we are "giving up on the project." I responded that we hadn't had a chance to call and get another quote but he could give up on the project if he wanted. After more back and forth and more snarky comments by him, I told him we'd probably go another route since his quote seemed high (and, by the way, if I don't sign by June 1st the prices go up and it will be almost $12,000). He concluded by telling me he thought one of the two companies he'd been bashing two days earlier would be a better option for us. Even if Jellyfish has the best product on the market, I wouldn't use them with salesmen like Danny. It must be nice to be in a strong economy where it doesn't matter how you treat customers, but I suspect that will change when the market softens. read more

Trey and Zac came out on Monday, November 11, 2024 to install our Jellyfish lighting on our home and we couldn't be happier. They were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and worked hard to make it perfect. They worked in the cooler temps, and made sure that everything was cleaner than when they came. They took the time to show me how to use the app, schedule lights and even set up a few programs for us. The job obviously took longer than they expected and they had another job after ours, but we never felt that rush to get the job done or hurry up and show the app features, they took their time, did it right, and I felt that they were treating it as their own. We have had Jellyfish Lighting for several years. They have worked with absolutely no problems. It's fun and safer than putting lights up and down every year. The grandkids really enjoy changing them with the holidays. Jellyfish sends out an email occasionally to give recommended setting for upcoming holidays which I really appreciate. We asked that lights be installed on the front and in the patio area in the back so we could have white lights for entertaining. Back when we put them in, that proved to be more complicated than the company thought. It took a lot of time for them to figure it out. They were installed in one day which was great but they worked as one unit (all lights came on in the front and back). It took a long time before they got back with us to make them function separately. We EVENTUALLY received a chip which replaced a few of the preprogrammed settings. I would guess they are now easily capable of this as I said this has been probably 4-5 years ago. In addition within a couple months of our installation, the company came out with a newer controller. So updates to the technology (hardware) are an additional cost. I asked the cost this past week before writing this review. I believe the cost to install the newer controller is about $400 for new installation. However if it is being updated, they have quoted $200. I'm assuming this is hardware and labor. So occasionally if you want the latest and greatest capability (which In this case I do and my hubby doesn't!), you will have some update costs. The lights are expensive but since installation we have had no problems so they really have been a good solution for us for holiday lighting. During much of the year we use the setting that is a white light every 5 feet or so, much like canned lighting for the house. Good Luck. read more

We are in the market for permanent holiday lights and requested a quote from Jellyfish. Our appointment was set for 9:00am today. By 10:45 am and no one having arrived, I called the office. I informed them of the delay and asked that they the just cancel the appointment. But moments later the sales person arrived. He was very professional, but at the end of the day I don't want to do business with a company whose sales person arrives nearly 2 hours late with no phone call. I am so excited with the led lights on our home. They look so nice and clean. They are very easy to program from an app on my phone and have so many choices. I am like a kid with a new toy! We are senior citizens and installing holiday lights is out of the question for us to climb a ladder. Paying several hundred dollars every year to have someone come install and then take them down at Christmas time is also very expensive. Jellyfish Lighting is a one time investment and we have lights we can use as ANY Holiday with ANY color option we choose or just have them be landscape lights on our home. They are virtually invisible and cannot be seen as they are flat under the eves of our home. I was interested in holiday and security lighting for my home. I did the research and called Jellyfish Utah for information. The lady there provided information and then referred me to the local dealer here in Houston. Marcos Serrato from the local Houston location contacted me the same day. He explained the overall concept of the lighting and the basics of how they operate and are installed. Marcos then came over to my house to explain further to ensure that I understood completely. Marcos was very professional and knowledgeable. He showed me how the installation process works and more about the lighting features. I was also happy with the five warranty and the fact that all lighting components come from Jellyfish. There are no outsourced components. Marcos was courteous and an absolute pleasure to work with. He sold me on the product, and I was excited to get started. We scheduled an install date and Marcos returned in a couple days to match the track color to my exterior paint. He was very patient and attentive to my needs and questions. I selected a color and was ready for installation. The installation Team arrived on time on the scheduled date, explained how the installation would be conducted and proceeded to do a magnificent job. The color Marcos helped me chose for the tracks was absolutely prefect. I am completely overjoyed with the results and the lighting exceeded my expectations by far. I had the Jellyfish lighting installed on my house in December. I am still picking up sharp little pieces of aluminum out of the lawn and flower gardens. The controller has had to be replaced three or four times (I lost count) and lights have already had to be replaced witch make me a little nervous about the warranty period ending at one year. The lights do look good at night for the most part. I had the lights installed on my deck in the back of my house as well as the front because I was told that I would be able to control them separately. When they installed them they are all on the same control. I was told that Jellyfish was working on a way to separate them. They tried to install a switch on the controller box in the garage witch would have to be flipped manually every time I wanted to shut off or turn on the lights on the deck, or I could pay for another controller at around $600 (I think that's what they cost but I could be wrong). I have found the variety of programs to be a little lacking but they do release updates once in awhile with more color combinations. All in all they work for Christmas lights and are nice on other holidays for something different. I probably should have done a little more research before purchasing read more
