Overpriced hamburgers, Sticky tables and chairs and un-welcomed diners ! Seriously what is going on with 5G's prices. 9.20 for a single patty and packaged bun. crazy. friendly service.

Food was good as usual but the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My partner and I doordashed and order and one burger arrived without any Patties? So I called and the person on the other end was very rude. They insisted that I was wrong and that there was at least one patty. They told me they needed proof. I asked if I could send a picture or something and then they hung up on me. So I drove 15 minutes there, said "here's your proof". Thankfully they remade my order but this was a very frustrating experience.

Ordered takeaway from here via Uber Eats. Ordered their large cajun fries, their bacon cheeseburger bowl with a bunch of different grilled veggies, their bacon cheeseburger (as a burger), and a milkshake. Total came out to $34. What's Hot - Quality. Yummy! One of the things I appreciate about Five Guys is that their food is pretty delicious and dependable at every location I've been to. This location is not an exception. Our bacon cheeseburgers were delicious and all the veggies were grilled and soft. - Takeaway packaging. The fries had its own separate bag and was taped together at the top. The burgers were in their own separate bag, which was also taped together at the top. During this time of the pandemic, I appreciate the extra effort by restaurants to show that the food hasn't been touched after it's put in the takeaway container. - Portions. That they didn't skimp on takeaway portions is even better. For example, every Five Guys locations I've been to always provides extra fries with every order. They always put extra scoops of fries in the bag, along with the fries in the cup. That's one of the reasons why we can get away with ordering smaller sizes. Haha... That they scooped some extra fries in our takeaway bag was helpful and definitely appreciated, because we were sharing the fries between two people. - Menu variety. I was not aware that Five Guys offers burger bowls as an option. That it came up as an option, on Uber Eats, is definitely something I appreciate. I can have my burger and fries without feeling as stuffed, which is helpful. - Price. Pretty reasonable, especially given the portions. What's Not - Food is not the most delivery friendly. To be fair, a lot of hot food is not the most delivery friendly. Additionally, hubby's milkshake was pretty watery after the few minutes it took for the delivery. Maybe make the milkshake thicker or frothier to survive the delivery? During this time of the pandemic, that is something hubby and I have become more accustomed to. - No peanuts with the takeaway order. To be fair, this is not a major issue. However, hubby and I have always enjoyed being able to eat peanuts at any Five Guys location. Their peanuts are readily available at every location and yummy. That we didn't get some scoops of peanuts with our takeaway order was a bit of a bummer. - Price. Be aware that there are many options for add-ons, and many options do cost extra, which can add to your tab. I don't think customer should be paying for condiments that come with food like burgers and hot dogs. After all, they aren't fancy condiments. Final Answer Yummy, reliable, and reasonably priced. Would plan on returning.

That killed it for me to buy more than one. After checking out Yelp photos and the online menu first upon arrival, I settled on the "New York Style" hot dog with small fry (3.50) and no drink. It came out to $15. It took a little while to get my order. I was there ordering with the cashier before some guy came after to order by kiosk which got his order first. My hotdog was loaded and tasted amazing. After finishing, I wish I had another because I wasn't full even after the fries. But I could never pay $20 for 2 hotdogs. Shop was clean and cute inside. Cashier was nice. A fairly new resident recommended the chicken bowl next time. The only other location is on the Natick Mall. They would be more busy if they come down $3-$4. Hope they aren't wasting their toppings with these prices.

I had the chicken bowl it was a somewhat small serving of chicken. I moved it from the bowl to cut it up. I ended up eating just the chicken, sour cream and beans. I asked for less rice but the bowl is mostly rice so I don't think they accommodated that request. Corn was dry. Lettuce is iceberg and minimal. If you like rice this would be a good choice.

For the record: under the ADA (and Massachusetts law, which follows it), a business can ask exactly two questions -- is this a service animal required due to a disability, and what task is it trained to perform. That's it. No vest, no ID card, no paperwork required, full stop. I said as much, was met with attitude, stepped out to keep the peace, came back in with documentation anyway (which I didn't legally owe him), and got a passive-aggressive "well you could've shown me that at the beginning" -- followed by a genuinely bizarre stare-down over the counter. Charming. Then, while waiting on my order, I made the mistake of taking a video of the (admittedly cute) interior -- 100-year-old diner car, hard not to want a keepsake -- and got yelled at for filming, with a pointed accusation that my brother outside was "also filming," said like it was a crime. Meanwhile this place has an active social media presence built on customers doing exactly that. You can't crowdsource your Instagram content and then treat a phone camera like a weapon. Oh, and the hot dog itself: $5 for a boiled dog on white bread, no toasting, no char, nothing. A sad little snack to cap off a genuinely unpleasant interaction. The building has real history. The guy behind the counter does not deserve it.

After reading some reviews, I decided to pay for extra cheese because I saw that their cheesesteaks may not be up to par on my preferred cheese level. I'm so glad I did! Carl's is the definition of a true hole-in-the-wall--and I mean that literally. If you're waiting…read moreto order or pick up, you're basically standing against the wall. No seating, no lingering, no fluff. This place is all about the food, and honestly... respect. They're best known for their cheesesteaks (for good reason), but the menu goes beyond that with subs, quesadillas, burritos, and salads. Pro tip: order ahead. Space is tight, especially in the winter, and while I've heard there may be outdoor tables in warmer months, this is very much a grab-and-go operation. Now let's talk portions--because WOW. I picked up a bag with five subs (cheesesteaks and chicken parm), and I almost dropped it. That thing was HEAVY. Full arm workout included. And here's the real tip: the small is pretty big. Like, plenty big. You absolutely do not need the large unless you're feeding an entire second person. The chicken parm was double-layered with chicken, not overly breaded, and absolutely hit the spot. As my boyfriend says, you usually don't think much about rating chicken parm unless it's bad... and this was very much not bad. The cheesesteak was excellent--tons of flavor, generous portions, and I loved that the peppers and onions were finely chopped and mixed right into the meat. Every bite delivered. Next time, I've got my eye on the nacho cheesesteak, because clearly I like to live my life with intention. No frills, big flavors, and serious bang for your buck. If you're craving a cheesesteak and don't need a place to sit, Carl's absolutely delivers. Would order again--and definitely recommend.
