Burgers here are great but to be honest I have no idea why the prices are so high. My son and I came here for his birthday. The bill was more than I thought it would be. My favorite thing here is definitely the fries because they are homemade style.

Why is Five Guys not an automatic five stars?? This is the closest Five Guys to our house. I am a Five Guys pro. I was going to the original Five Guys before it was cool. This Five Guys is good to go. With Covid, I place my order online now and just go grab it from the restaurant. The online menu is really easy to manage and I prefer it since I am picky with what I want. Since we just moved here to VA Beach, we are still getting the hang of where to eat, with exception to Five Guys. We have already ordered from here multiple times. It's a known quantity, and it's a good one. This store is run by a bunch of young people. Every time I have come in, they are respectful and most importantly, prompt. Another thing I notice is how clean the store is. That's a nice thing to see. I have never had to wait a long time for my food, and the food tastes the way Five Guys should taste. Well done. Don't change what you are doing.

Got my husband a burger and Kasian fries with a milk shake. Restaurant was clean and busy at the time but didn't wait to long for my food, witch was good. Friendly staff. My husband was happy because they gave him a good amount of fries. He loves five guys.

It's been too long since I visited this location of Five Guys. I have never had a poor experience here and love the location since it is not far from where I reside. What Five Guys does is keep it simple, just burgers, fries and hot dogs. What is unique about them is the quality products and ingredients used by the DC based burger chain. But dig deeper and you will find more that is unheard of in the fast food industry. Such as there is no freezer on the premise... their food is NEVER frozen. The ground beef is always fresh, thus the reason they deliver a great burger off the grill each time. Also by using only peanut oil for cooking they offer a healthier option to competitors. What else is different, employees make you feel good about your dining experience. Now that is something special and unheard of among chain burger joints. My visit today was flawless and food tasty. The dining room was clean and an employee was cleaning tables and sweeping the floor as is typical since the peanuts make such a mess. I also visited the restroom and found them in great condition with minor debris on the floor. I enjoyed the banter of the five to six employees working hard behind the counter. As a matter of fact I learned something new that you will not find on their company website. Anyone that is a customer knows that they have 50 pound bags of potatoes on skids around the store. What you may not know is that it is a company requirement that each employee be able to cut up a 50 pound bag in 5 minutes. Each store records it's own employee's best time. This location's record to cut up a 50 pound bag is 1:14 seconds. Another store in the Hampton Roads area is 58 seconds, one of the best in the entire chain. If you have never checked them out before it's worth your time to experience a Five Guys burger sooner than later. But keep in mind if your taking a family it is downright not affordable in my opinion, thus the reason a star has been taken away. A family of four could spend $40 some bucks. As a single, or double not too bad of a deal. Quality vs. affordability has always been an issue with me. Here is a fun fact, how many different ways are there to order a Five Guys Burger? Would you believe 250,000 according to their website.

As always, great burgers. It has been a while since I had a burger from here because my doctor said I needed to watch what I eat for a while. But when it was time to treat myself there is no better choice than Five Guys. Service is fast, no confusing specialty sandwiches to distract you from the great burgers they are famous for. When you have the time to have the best, go here.

So very disappointed in my little bacon hamburger tonight. We did pickup and came home. We live about 3 minutes from the store. My burger was cold and missing the bacon. My husband's big bacon burger was just okay. Fries are still awesome.

Just really disappointed. I came out to this location because it is so close to where I live. My $3 small fries were better than my $7 cheeseburger which really sucks considering i paid $12 . It's certainly no secret that Five Guys isn't cheep fast foot, but honestly I really don't mind paying the price when it comes down to delicious food. Over all, My burger had two pieces of lettuce the size of a quarter dollar, barely any onions and absolutely no ketchup which is upsetting. On the bright side, my seemingly extra small (compared to an average size small) order of french fries are actually really crispy and seasoned well so for that they'll get an extra star. Of course I'll return again in the future to give it another shot, I'm just hoping for a better experience! :(

The fly was buried under layers of bacon and cheese. if they were paying attention, they should have seen it.

I really wanted a good burger. I had literally been craving one. If I can't go to some of my local spots, my go-to is Five Guys. We ordered food, my daughter went to pick it up, we all sat down to eat. My daughter comes running over and says don't eat your food and shows us the fly in her food. When we called, they said we can remake it or refund. really, we just drove 7 miles back and forth and they say that. No apologies, no how can we make it better, just...here is your choices. Like this happens all the time. Thanks manager, Justin, your customer service sucks. I asked for a refund, waiting 4 days to see if it would happen and of course my card was charged. (btw, we threw away our food after seeing the fly and went to Wendy's). I called and was told at first that I would have to come in for my refund. We chose the refund b/c we didn't want to go back. Then all of a sudden she was able to process the refund. I am giving 1 star because of the manager Nicole who was friendly and resolved my issue, but I won't be back to that location b/c I didn't feel like they really cared about the customer experience.

Long fine hair in my cheeseburger

I come to this specific location now because Corey did such a good job with my food previously which caused retention for this store. I go back today and as I'm eating my food, a long strand of hair is hanging from my mouth! Corey had his hair net on but I'm not sure about the others. I would've gave this place 5 stars for my service with Corey but the hair is huge. It's disgusting

Their Coleslaw is perfection. It's pure coleslaw, just like I like it, without sauce or mayonnaise. They have an extensive list of milkshake flavors, which I'm told are amazing. A few are seasonal. My continuous dieting has kept me from trying them. But when December arrives I may splurge calories on an Egg Nog Shake. Anytime I'm in the area, or close to the area I'll stop and buy enough for two meals. Each sandwich is wrapped in a thick heavy aluminum foil type wrap, which keeps the bun soft in the refrigerator. The coleslaw is best for me on the side. But there's never enough for the second day. Yesterday I ordered two side orders of coleslaw. They were the same small size of the "slaw on the side" ones. I know they must have larger containers. Next time I'm going to be more descriptive in my order. The personnel are friendly and helpful. Every time I've been, regardless of time, the same woman has been at the register. The location is just off Military Highway. The storefront appears to be on that major thoroughfare. But the parking lot is entered and faces Valley Drive. If approaching from the south there is no curb cut. One had to make a U turn to reach Valley Drive. If headed north from the restaurant I continue on Valley Drive and take a right on Raby Road which takes you to a traffic signal on Military Highway. The storefront is attractive and captures one's attention. The inside is spacious with fast food type booths that are larger than most. The walls are decorated with hangings such as one featuring the Old Dominion Monarchs. There were once rumors of a store being built in the Haygood area. So far that hasn't happened. She was welcoming, helpful, and offered thoughtful order suggestions. She was also patient, professional, and knowledgeable, and she processed our orders and payments quickly and efficiently. The staff who prepared our food were friendly and attentive, making sure every order was correct. Their attention to detail was excellent from start to finish. I ordered Bo's chicken sandwich, not spicy, along with a biscuit and peach iced tea. The sandwich was well seasoned, and the biscuit was golden brown on top, pale on the sides, flaky on the outside, and soft and layered inside. Its flavor was rich, buttery, and mild. The peach iced tea was delicious, and altogether, everything was finger-licking good. The Bojangles team, from the cashier to the cooks and order preparers, worked together smoothly. Even during the busy lunch rush, they remained calm, friendly, and attentive with a wonderful sense of humor. I also had the pleasure of meeting Vince, the Director of Operations at this location. He represented the company exceptionally well. He was personable, efficient, and clearly skilled at managing both the team and production. During the lunch rush, I saw him clearing tables and greeting guests when the dining area became short-staffed because of the crowd. He gave clear, precise instructions without raising his voice, speaking to his staff in a calm and respectful way. The mutual respect between Vince and his team was easy to see. Until next time, keep up the great work.

The staff keeps the drive-thru moving, fast and to the point. That said, if you're new or just indecisive, I highly recommend going inside. The menu is huge, and if you're not ready when it's your turn, you might feel a little rushed. My husband and I text our orders to each other and read off our phones to keep things moving. Cook Out was once the king of budget eats -- I remember when a tray (entrée + 2 sides + a drink) was around $5. Those days are behind us. These days it's more like $7-$8, which still isn't bad, but the creep is noticeable. One of my latest discoveries that might change your life: they sell slices of cheesecake. Yes -- actual cheesecake for around $3. You can add any of their milkshake toppings to it. Crushed Oreos on your cheesecake? Done. Strawberry syrup and peanut butter cups? Go for it.
