Stopped in for lunch around 11:30 on a Sunday. We arrived in the nick of time! It got super busy right after we ordered. They have a nice size dining area with a couple stations with peanuts in the shell for snacking on while you wait for your food. We ordered the Little Bacon Cheeseburger, hotdog, and a regular sized fry to share. I also ordered their seasonal Peppermint Crunch milkshake. The food was delicious! Love their burgers and fries. The "little" burgers are the perfect size for me. The regular fry is perfect for sharing. My husband loved his hotdog. The milkshake was just okay. We didn't care for the abundance of crunch. They could probably cut the amount of peppermint pieces in half. It tasted pretty artificial too. Maybe a bit of peppermint syrup and a few candy pieces would be better?! We definitely prefer Chicfila's peppermint bark milkshake over this one. Overall we enjoyed our lunch. It was satisfying and worth the $30 price tag. The service was friendly and dining area clean. I like that you can just say everything and it's way more than just mayo, mustard, etc. It's truly so much more. Granted, I usually have them not add certain things but still, love that it's an option. My understanding is that they always have 5 people working. This explains why, even if there's a lot of people, the food gets out pretty fast. Feel free to correct me, if this is not correct (about the 5 'guys'). What's even better than their burgers is the Cajun fries! Oh, goodness! They are delicious! I cannot get enough of these. Did you know that you can also ask for peanuts and eat them while you wait. The hamburgers we got ( double cheeseburgers ) were ok the last time I got them several months ago, but this time they were almost inedible. Natter in fact we threw half of the hamburgers away I spent $48 for hamburgers that were soggy and tasted not good. The hamburger itself tasted like very cheap burger. It didn't have a good taste. It was flavorless with a weird texture to it. I never had anything like it. It's not often I spend $48 and throw half my meal in the garbage but that's what I did. It was gross. I already left a review and it suddenly vanished! Nothing I said would warrant a removal so I can only assume that Five Guys in Vancouver didn't like what I had to say. In brief, we ordered our meal and there were no orders ahead of us. Took close to 40 minutes to receive our food which was room temp and bacon cheeseburger had NO BACON. We asked for bacon and were told they'd have to make another burger instead. We didn't have all night. There were three cooks and a counter girl. Cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, one order fries. While the Burger itself was passable, the french fries were bad, not quite as bad as I remembered them being 10 years ago (back when they were limp and slimy), but still, no snap, old oil and heavily over salted. Add to this the highly deceptive and misleading signs in the windows proclaiming themselves voted best burger and best fries. But in the small print on the fries sign it says "Capital Region Living Magazine NY" and the burger sign says Bradenburg or some such place in Florida. I checked the New York one, at least the Magazine exists, but they have not done a best of rating since 2018, and going checking their ratings going back to 2014, 5 Guys was never voted best French Fries. I've ordered here without issues but my most recent visit on 2/19/25 has me not wanting to go back. I didn't catch the girl's name, but she's short, skinny and long brown hair. She is INCREDIBLY rude, has an attitude, and is just overall not a nice word. I got my order and took it home, only to realize my burger had NO patty?!?! While the employees here are good, the owner/manager skimps. This is the only Five Guys out of 7 I've been to all over the country that can't even fill up a cup of fries. It's not the employees - it's the owner! I've seen the owner chastise an employee for filling up my fries and made them knock some off the measuring bin they keep at the fry station. If you like soggy, tasteless fries and your burger served on a carboard bun then this place if for you! Of all the 'gourmet' burger chains this is the worst Ive had. Even the crappy 1/4 pounder with cheese at McD's blows this burger away and that's sad. It's as if scientists were tasked with 'make the largest bun you can that tastes like air' and they were 100% successful. Do yourself a favor and make the short drive to Killer Burger, THAT's how you do a burger. Ordered curbside at this location. I was eating my food after I got home and I was about half way done with my burger and had gotten a pretty decent chunk of plastic in my food. I called the restaurant to let them know what had happened just as a heads up to help them, and they unfortunately didn't even really seem to care. All that was said was "oh that's not good. I'll let someone know". No sorry or anything. I understand accidents happen, but an apology would've been sufficient at least. Fries were pretty good though. Guess they got that going for them lol. We each ordered a BLT on a burger bun, french fries and while I got a strawberry milkshake my daughter got some other beverage. I would give the BLT a 2 star rating (dry, cold and bacon was overly crisp), however my daughter thought her BLT was quite good and gave it 4 stars. I think my review could be applicable to any Five Guys, since I've had relatively the same experience at a couple different locations. Service is good, place is clean, milkshakes are bomb. However. Their cajun fries are insane, and not in a good way. They are so thickly coated with the cajun spice, your fingers will turn orange. They are so unpalatably salty. It's like a potato zipped itself up in a salty cajun sweater and sheds little salty, cajun fibers everywhere. They are practically inedible. The lack of bun-toasting for the burgers confuses me. My husband got a cheeseburger and I got a veggie sandwich and neither buns were toasted. My $4.29+ sandwich was something that called back to times where I went to BBQs and had to assemble some vegetarian-friendly sandwich with the random ingredients around. Cold, soggy bun that fell apart while it vainly attempted to retain its motley crew of assorted vegetables, ketchup, and mustard. An absolutely bland and tasteless blob of generic and unflavorful bun with lukewarm vegetables. My husband's cheeseburger was nothing remarkable per his response, only that "I forgot how thin their patties are." The redeeming aspects were, as I mentioned earlier, their milkshakes, which are stupid delicious. The restaurant is very tidy, the free peanuts are a nice snack, and the employees are quick and polite. It's definitely not craveable. If I could take Five Guys' regular fries (not cajun!!) and pair them with In-N-Outs grilled cheese (or double-double, for the meat-eaters), that would be an ideal combo. But FG doesn't toast their lethargic and bland buns and their fillings are "meh." I feel there are better options out there. read more

I'm hungry just writing this review! I was convinced to try this place out even though I was extremely hesitant to because of the hype. In my experience, the bigger the hype the stronger the disappointment. But disappointment would not be a noun i'd used for Five Guys! I got the Bacon Cheeseburger with almost all the fixings and a coffee + Oreo cookie shake. And let me tell you, the shake was one of the best things i've had in my mouth. I could swim in this shake, it was THAT good. The burger was delicious as well, you can choose to get different sizes of meat, I just got a regular patty because I wanted to load it with all my favorite veggies. I was impressed by how many options you have as far as the veggies go, and I definitely took advantage of that with no extra charge to my burger! HELLO, LOVE THAT! I WILL say, my only tiny complaint is getting my fries in the paper bag, just thrown into the bag with no holder. Its not good for commuting with it as the grease just seeps through the bag. I ordered on the app and it kept saying "I'm progress" and after a half hour I finally come Yo and ask if my order is ready and the lady apologized for the wait and asked the guy next to her and he just goes "yeah I've been calling it for a while" - I never ordered through the app and also the app didn't show my order # and I was waiting for him to call my name. I was having a terrible day just wanting some food and typically if a customer waited as long as I had where I work we would've given them a free drink or a free item or voided their payment. NE 78th Street between Hazel Dell Blvd. & the 5 Freeway I'm going to keep this one short since most of you are familiar with the experience that is 5 Guys Burgers & Fries. First thing's first...service is extremely nice. I always feel welcome when coming here Second...though... they are freaking expensive and despite the complimentary peanuts (which I did not touch,) so I still neglected to find value. I seriously paid a little over $12 bucks for a typical combo - Burger, Fries, and a Drink. Food quality has waned since my last visit. My burger was ok at best (my biggest issue being a lack of discernible flavorful seasoning,) but despite the great combination of ingredients was still rather insipid and the Fries while very delicious (drowning in Cajun Seasoning) were grossly undercooked and flaccid. Out of a regular order which does come with a nice copious amount of fries I think I had a total of 3 before throwing the majority away. Decor is red and white with lots of newspaper cutouts of recognition they've received. There is plenty of parking available in this Strip Mall lot. Coming from California (for over 20 years) and using this chain as a nice alternative to the In n Outs available I was especially sad to see that things had changed in their food. read more

In this, "what have you done for me lately" world of ours what matters is what works right now. You know what works? Five Guys. Is it the be all end all of burgers in the known burger eating world? Probably not. Does it work when I want a good burger? Yup. Does it work when I want a metric ton of french fries in my bag of grub? Yup. Do they honor my right to be a punchline by ordering a huge burger, metric ton of fries and want a diet soda with that then they give me more than one diet option unlike a zillion other places? Yup.
