Definitely coming back here again. The prices are great and you never leave hungry. The food is good. They really make the burgers the way you want it. So many toppings to choose from. I had a little cheeseburger and regular fries which was shared with my boyfriend. They gave us so much fries we weren't able to finished them. I also love that there are free refills on soda. The service was good. Friendly cashier and food took around 5-10 minutes. The place was also clean, including the single restrooms. Big plus in my book. read more

Miraculously saw the five guys as I was making a pit stop on the way back from tahoe this labor day weekend. I was so glad that we didn't stop in Davis to grab In'n Out which I do like, but I find 5 guys to be far superior. Especially since I can get a bacon cheeseburger with crispy bacon bits, which totally rounds out the burger. Got there at around 5PM, so there was no wait. Score! Trust me on this one. The burgers are not that good and they are definitely not worth the price. Service is average but I have to say again not a six dollar burger, food is average. Better off across the freeway at In and Out burger. Always good and better than this place. Took the kids to five guys, paid too much for average food. Bottom line. Not worth the cost. read more

Everybody will always mention the "other guys" when it comes to Five Guys. Your experience here shouldn't be compared to IN-N-OUT, Five Guys has a huge selection of add-ons to your burger. I was overwhelmed with the choices, I kinda got lost in the menu selections. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, with everything including jalapenos and A.1. steak sauce. BOTTOM LINE: The burger was messy, but delicious. My palette prefers simplicity. There is nothing special here. read more

Much Better than In-N-Out, hands down. Tried the burgers back when I was in Florida for a bit, and I was excited to hear that they had opened one up in the town over. The burgers are delicious and the people are cool. The prices are a little high but the food makes up for it. read more

I had this place for the first time a few days ago...burger tasted very good (and I'm not much of a red meat eater).. I had it pretty much "all the way" (with all the basic toppings) sans mushroom...with grilled onions....only downfall of the burger was the bun seemed cheap and got soggy way quick (soggy=no go for me)....the fries were great in texture but could use a little more flavor, or maybe just another pinch of salt. Overall, I was satisfied...I would give 4 stars if it were cheaper but it is pretty pricey... I choose In-N-Out because for under 5 bucks I can get the same as what i got for twelve here. I don't get the hype. Sure the burgers are good (certainly better than In-n-Out) but there's a lot to be desired. My review is for all Five Guys I suppose, nothing against this one in particular. The food is served in brown bags, regardless if you are dining in or taking out. Kind of cheap and trashy. The dining area is this clinical, sterile-like, tiled area. Makes me feel like I'm eating in a 70s era surgery room. The food was good, but nothing to sneeze at. Granted you could pay about the same, or a little more, at an independent burger joint and get a much more patron-friendly atmosphere. I am a girl who loves burgers. Maybe that's why I'm on the chunky side. The first time I've had a burger here was when my mom To-Go'd it for me. It was very soggy and so greasy! I promised myself I would never eat there again. I broke my own promise. I went there again, and was not disappointed this time. It was so good and juicy (not greasy. theres a difference). The only problem with it was that it kept breaking apart. They smother so much mayo and ketchup on it that I felt like I was advertising the Carls Jr burgers. Regardless, it's a fair price and well portioned. Good for a college student like me. Will be back again soon. Yum. read more

First timer! Went here on 7/31 after a trip to tahoe for hiking. Didn't know what to expect, but wow! Upon ordering, the cashier was very friendly. She offered to explain the menu to me since it was my first time. After ordering, I thought I would have to pay around 6-7$, but it only came out to 4.50$.. I was confused, but then I figured out it was because I ordered a single-patty cheeseburger, which was under 5$. The awesome thing is, you get to really customize the burger. You can add in sauces (A-1, ketchup, mustard, etc.), jalapenos, bell peppers.. see you if you can get that anywhere else! The burger itself is pretty decent sized. The fries were good. There's a box of peanuts that's open for anyone to snack on--I didn't try any cause I was full, but I hear they're good. I would come here again :) read more

This is my third time at Five Guys and it may be my last. The last time I was here they forgot to put bbq sauce on my burger and my fries were way too soggy and salty. And guess what? They did the same thing to me again...I even ordered my Cajun fries "well done". I guess their idea of well done is not the same as mine. Soggy fries is NOT well done.. The best part about this place is being able to add so many things on your burger. I got a bacon cheeseburger with "everything" and jalapeños and a regular sized Cajun fries which I thought wouldn't be enough. Not only were the burger and fries delicious but I ended up having to force myself to finish the fries. The burger is so thick that I had trouble taking full bites out of it. They also have free peanuts which is another plus while you're waiting for your food and even throughout your meal. Waiting time was kind of long but it was worth it. read more

It's like In-N-Out except you can get WHATEVER YOU WANT on your burger. Including bacon. Thank God. The burgers are just alright, but you can pack 'em so full of stuff you like it's not a big deal. When you order fries, you get HELLA. They too are just okay. Kinda greasy and floppy in a cup, but whatevs. Hits the money scale about dead middle. Depending on what you order it might or might not be worth it. I'd eat here like, once every 4 or 5 months I guess. read more

So happy to have finally gotten the chance to try Five Guys. Believe the hype! The regular burgers come with two 3oz patties and the smaller with one. the meat itself has a home made feel and you can watch them grill it in front of you. A nice touch is the fry option, regular or Cajun OR you can ask for a bag and Cajun seasonings and shake your own. Overflowing fries were plenty for 3 of us to eat and then some. I had the regular burger without adding any extras and it was perfect! Juicy with tons of stuff. BBQ sauce on the side was a nice addition. Will definitely have to go back to try out all the add ons. Or even a hot dog!! Peanuts everywhere seemed a little messy but adds the shtick. read more

Mehhh.... They aiiight... I do however like the thicker, juicier patties over In N Out's. The toppings seemed extremely fresh as well which I piled high on the dual patties. (though I could barely keep the damn thing together) The fries, though massively portioned were a bit too soggy for my taste. I tried the bacon dog which was actually quite good w/ some ultra-crispy bacon. I was expecting a dog wrapped with bacon & deep fried, but that was wishful thinking due to all these years of watching diners drive-ins & dives. the fries are delicious. just make sure you dont close your bag. the fries need to breathe, closting the bag keeps all the moisture inside, thus ruining your fries. im pretty sure the cajun seasoning is supposed to be caked on there, so just ask for a side of cajun or no salt. that way you can add them to your liking. read more

WOW, totally underwhelmed. Stumbled across this while coming back from Tahoe. We meant to go to Amici's but we couldn't find it and we love burgers so we decided to give it a shot. Reminded us a lot of In- N -Out but it did not hold a candle to In N-Out. Very run of the mill or cheap bun (fell apart while eating the burger) and weird labeling on the foil packaging. I got the wrong burger and never knew it until I was three bites in but I was so hungry I didn't even want to wait for them to make another one. They put numbers on the foil and you're somehow supposed to know who got what? I ordered mine with the works and what I got was comprable to a McDonalds cheeseburger. I don't understand the hype but I'll stick to my In-N-Out, thank you. read more

Been to this burger joint just once when it first opened and I was not impressed. I ordered a burger that had everything from bacon to sautéed mushrooms and when I received it it was so soggy, mushy and very oily. I was so turned off. The flavor of their beef patty was not that impressive either. It was just bland and it seemed like the food was cooked at a hospital cafeteria. Yeah, that bad. The fries were just okay too. Very oily and a little too overcooked. I didn't want to come back here after that first experience. Yeah, I should give them another shot, but their prices aren't very inviting. So, sorry 5 Guys, I'm not a fan. Oh and the decor inside this restaurant is pretty flat and plain. Looks like a warehouse. Not cute at all. read more

I went here just to check it out because my brother said he heard something good about it. Got there with 4 people and my self being the fifth person. The place looks like In and Out burger but with less crowd. Ordered 3 burgers, hotdog and a junior cheeseburger plus 2 sodas and spent $40.00. Thats a lot for a burger joint , if you ask me. Burgers had 2 thin patties and very bland. Nothing really to it. I thought my burgers at hoem tasted better. I am quite surprised and disappointed by the experience. What's with all the hype? Waited about 10 minutes in a cramped area for some sub par food. Fries that are "all natural" were not very good. And the burgers are not that big either. Price wise it wasn't bad but for a not so good meal, it was a waste. Save your money and try some where else read more

Great burgers - big too! Fries portions are giant - a regular size is good for two people. Lunch can be busy here... but they crank through the orders pretty fast. I think the burgers are better than In n Out - and the pricing is comparable. You have lots of topping options for your burger - don't go overboard! I wish they had a place closer to home! read more

This is the best burger in Vacaville! My brothers have been telling me about this place - they frequent one in New York. The menu is simple, just put what you want on your burger. The 'burgers' are actually double burgers and the 'little burgers' are single patties. The small fries are almost enough for two people, so order accordingly.
