Just ok for me. Burgers were way too greasy, my bun was soggy when I sat down to eat it. The meat had no flavor whatsoever but I guess the toppings make up for it. When you order fries they practically fill up the bag...maybe mcdonald's can learn from them. I like that all the toppings are free and you get a choice of mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, jalapenos, green peppers, a1 sauce, BBQ sauce, hot sauce. Walked up to the counter and the guy asked me if i had been there before, i answered no, so he offered to explain the menu to me, which was a big help. I have heard many good things about this place, I had to try it. The place is cute, the seating is a bit tight and having to deal with a high chair is a bit snug but its not discouraging. We ordered the little which is basically a one pattie burger. We also asked for everything on because we love all the different flavors. Once we got our order we were a little impressed, the reason I say that is because the burger tasted as if you grilled it yourself, well a beeter version of a home made one. I stopped by coming back from Tahoe (Vacaville was on the way) to find out what the big fuss is about. When you walk in, theres stacks of bags of potatoes that guide the line formation. I got there right in time because there was a mob of people right behind me. The menu is somewhat like in&out - very basic... The cashier lady was very friendly, and explained the menu very clearly to us first timers. I do like how you can get mushrooms on your burger for free! (I love 'shrooms!) However their shrooms are tasteless :( Might as well not add it. Cant go wrong w/ free soda refills. 1 reg order of fries was more than enough for my boyfriend & I. You get your burger wrapped in foil. The burger is kinda soggy like it was supposed to be soggy. The buger was "OK"...it wasn't crackin, it wasn't bomb & definitely not the best burger I had. On a good day, Nation's burgers are better (I'm not a huge fan of In&Out anymore). Ok first of all their burgers aren't bad. They're really good, to be zagat rated. But I have had better. I hold burgers to high standards cause I've eaten enough. I have the gut to prove it! What's good about this place is that you have a lit of choices to customize your burger or dog. I think it justs make things complicated to dress it all up. Overview: I am not really into burgers and fries, but when i do have a desire to sink my teeth into a burger followed by tasty crunchy fries i probably wont be going back to five guys. Dislikes: These burgers are filled with grease. As you eat your burger while its still in the foil, notice the amount of greese in the bottom of the foil....the flavor of the burger isnt bad but the fries are not as crunchy as i'd like for them to be. I really like this place because u can pick what u want on ur burger or hotdog. Since it was my first time the cashier was so nice to explain everything to me. & after we ordered we there is a huge barrel of peanuts u can grab for a snack while u wait for ur food to be cooked. Besides In-N-Out, this the other go-to burger spot. Ordered "all the way" on both little cheeseburger and little bacon cheeseburger with large cajun fries. Dislike it when it gets messy because the burgers come apart halfway. Tip, eat the burger in its wrapper to prevent this. Do love how they always overflow their cup of fries. My boyfriend LOVES this place. He introduced me to it awhile back and I've really only been here once. I'm a super picky eater and I like that this place has unlimited toppings and you can order it however you want it, without the cooks/cashier mugging the sh*t out of you for a "complicated order" haha. I ordered a plain cheeseburger with onions, mushrooms and A1 sauce. Lol, im weird I know but it was super yummy. The workers/cashiers were very friendly and the food came out pretty fast. Basically a slight upgrade from In and Out. The reasons for saying so, burger is bigger, more meat, and more toppings. I'd say the quality of the two burgers are the same, but with Five Guys you just get more. The flavor of the burgers are comparable, and different. In and Out is still one of my favorites, and has that great signature taste and flavor, but again Five Guys just edges it out a bit. One thing I like better for sure is the fries. Stopped here late at night on my way back to the Bay Area. Reasonably quick off and on the freeway. Service was slightly below that of other Five Guys locations. Food was as good as ever. This has become my favorite chain burger joint. If you are a first time visitor to Five Guys, you should know that there are no combos. Everything is ordered Ala carte. five guys...random name for a burger joint. a small order of fries is enough to feed a family...and then some because when you look in the bottom of the bag you'll find enough for another family. One time a lady walked around asking other customers if they wanted the rest of her fries. The burgers are the real star here, but just look forward to a soft smushed bun burger and juices oozing out the burger...woo!
