Came here before burgers were good and fast service but after remodeling ordered pick up and was told it'll be ready at 8:34pm so I waited outside and it gave me the option to put that I was outside waiting since no one was allowed inside. Cars came after and started lining up a car came infront of me and the workers supposed they came before me so they got their food and left by the time it was 8:45pm. My food was still not ready. They came out to ask me twice what the name of my order was after I told them my order and my name when they came around asking the orders of the cars in line what was their order. Mind you I ordered my food at 8:20 and at that time there was no cars and I told them when I was on the way since it allowed me to do that on the website. I got my food at 9pm almost an whole 30 minutes after I was told my order would be ready. Got the food and was like whatever. Started eating my burger and halfway through found a mushroom when I ordered no mushrooms. It was by the onions husband didn't believe it was a mushroom until he looked closer at it. I'm allergic to mushrooms so I always make sure I always order without mushrooms and my husband doesn't eat mushrooms so I'm not sure how it got in my burger but I ended up having an allergic reaction since they weren't careful in what they put in my burger and put a mushroom. I know they couldn't have known that I'm allergic to mushrooms but they could be more cautious when putting together burgers. I've never had a problem before this time. How many burgers did you order she asked. 3 he replied, knowing the fries were probably OVER SALTED as well. Her response was, ok I'll take this you get back in line and start over. We ordered a large order online, we clicked the link to let them know when we were on our way. We called once we got there and the lady on the phone told us to pull up front. After waiting over 15 minutes out front, I went in to see what was going on. They had the food sitting on the counter and when I told the man we have been waiting over 15 minutes outside. He replied "We are really busy and have no one to run it out." I said "Why didn't anyone say that or just call us to come in?" He just shrugged it off. I have a high standard for Five Guys restaurants. I've never had a bad experience at any of their abundant locations. Driving through Toledo, a buddy and I decided to stop for some grub, naturally gravitating toward the local Five Guys. Despite the fact that this was my fourth cheeseburger meal in a row (yes--I had one for breakfast), my experience at the Toledo Five Guys caused me to raise my standard for Five Guys as a chain considerably. Not only was the food prepared efficiently and not only did it smack, but the guy working fries tonight filled my bag to the brim with delicious fries. The fries overflowed three-fold from paper cup. I only ordered a "little" for the Pete's sake, but this employee went above and beyond the role of a fryer to answer a call from the Fry-god himself. Five Guys is a great place to hit up if you're looking for a great burger that is fairly quick to order. The burgers are bigger than your typical burgers, and the toppings available are of a decent variety (my favorite is the A1 sauce). I recommend this place if your looking for a delicious burger at a great price. This is not your average burger joint! Well ok it is but the burgers are exceptional! You can get basically anything you want on it and if you're not sure they are happy to help you out. I went to Five Guys recently for the first time, and it served up the best burger I've had in a long time. The fresh vegetables are crisp, the buns are soft, and the meat is juicy and perfectly cooked. It is a huge bonus to get free toppings like grilled onions and jalapeños. It isn't every burger joint where you can order your burger with green peppers and A1 sauce, or maybe even hot sauce if you're in the mood. Seriously, I couldn't ask for more in a burger; it was perfect. The icing on the cake is the fresh-cut french fries which are exactly what real fries should be. You can even get them cajun-style if that's your thing. Oh, and word to the wise, even the "small" fries will probably be enough for two normal people. You get a decent cup-full PLUS a scoop of bag fries. The prices are good for the quality and quantity of product, and the service was pretty fast considering the line was practically backed up to the door. My only complaint is that seating is extremely limited. Five Guys is a popular place (and for good reason), so you might not get a seat if you show up on a Saturday night. This is my new go-to burger place in Toledo. If I'm going to blow my daily calorie budget in a single meal, I might as well do it in style and get maximum enjoyment out of the experience. read more

Five guys is awesome. When you walk in you're greeted by bags of potatoes and free peanuts. They offer a wide variety of toppings and condiments which is great, but be careful not to overdo it. The french fries are delicious and they always top it off very well. For 2 people, a small fries should be enough. Make sure to get them cajun too! The meat is very high quality and the burgers are always put together very neatly. Everything tastes pretty fresh. It's a little more expensive than the other (crappier) fast food joints, but it's well worth it for a good treat. read more

When a Toledo shopping trip is in the cards, Five Guys is one of our go to places. Their burgers remind me of In & Out Burgers from out on the west coast. Though it is a chain, the burgers have a much better taste than the standard chain variety of places. All of the usual burger toppings are available but can make eating a fully loaded burger messy. Their standard burger comes with double patties so be careful when ordering if you only desire one patty. Their fries are very, very good. The regular order of fries is enough for 3-4 people to share so don't be tempted to order the larger order of fries unless you have a big group to enjoy them with. I like the bigger than normal sized cups they provide for ketchup dipping! It can get crowded in there and the dining room doesn't allow for much room to maneuver between the tables. Their fountain drinks are full flavored and have even tried the nice assortment of teas that they offer. read more

I experienced Five Guys on the east coast a few months ago and so far the quality is unmatched and consistent. The toppings are basic, but fresh looking and tasting. The cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers, or regular hamburgers come stacked with fresh meat, never frozen, and plenty of fries. In fact, their large fry is enough for a small family to enjoy. Five Guys Burgers and Fries... Just saying the name of the place makes my mouth water. I love a good, greasy burger, and that is Five Guys' specialty for sure. When you order a burger, you also pick everything that goes on it- sauces, cheese, and toppings. This allows for some crazy custom burgers. The fries are seasoned and absolutely delicious every time (you definitely don't need ketchup). And there is the added bonus of free endless peanuts with your meal! The drink machine is a crazy high-tech Coca-cola contraption that lets you get any soda made by coke, and gives you the option to add flavors like cherry or vanilla to the soda. The people who enjoy this place are those who want to pay more for McDonalds in order to feel better about their eating habits. Let me break this down for you. The environment is a fun environment for a restaurant. There's lots of free peanuts, an old diner feel and people moving and shouting all around you. It reminds me of a less dressed-up version of In-N-Out burgers or Mighty Fine burgers in Texas. However, the food is no where near the quality. The burger meat is good quality, but the bun is how you know if you're getting a well-cared for burger. What a bun tells you about a burger joint is whether or not the place wants you to have a well balanced experience, not just fast food. The buns at Five Guys are the EXACT same small-and-cheap buns used by Burger King. There are seeds on top, yes, but the bread falls apart when you put anything on them. Then there are the excuse for french fries this place sells. High quality french fries are made from real potatoes and cooked properly. They should be double fried in order to retain a sense of crispiness on the outside. The french fries at Five Guys are made from real potatoes - as near as I can tell - but they are single fried and use the wrong type of potato. So when you dig into that large pile of starch, let's hope you like a bag full of soggy mush that drips with grease. Save yourself some money and go to McDonald's instead. When given my order besides my order being stuffed in the bag, the rest of the bag was filled to the top with enough fries and napkins to feed the entire population of Toledo. I go here all of the time, the staff is very friendly and talks to me while they are just cleaning the lobby and make me feel very welcomed. everything is made to order so it is a few minutes to wait, but it is so worth it in the end. Their fries though... are absolutely heavenly with malt vinegar and ketchup. One of the best places to get a burger. You just pick 1 or 2 patties with options to add bacon and cheese for extra cost. Then you pick from a variety of condiments and toppings at no additional cost. I generally get a cheeseburger or little cheeseburger with mustard mayo grilled onions lettuce and tomato. Fries are made fresh from potatoes (not frozen like other fast food places like McDonald's). They generously fill uo the bag with fries. A regular size is comfortably enough for 2 people. We had never been here before, so the lady behind the couter explained how things work. Its a pretty simple menu, but lots of delicious options. There was a newspaper article on the wall that said "this is what burger places used to be before corporations took them over and stole their soul"... or something like that. And that sums it up. They have excellent burgers. Juicy, flavorful, and by far the best I have ever had. And plenty of fries which we good as well. The burgers are really, really, good. Nothing is frozen. I dont know what else to say. It has simple but inviting decor, a simple menu with not a lot of items, but lots of options, and really good food. And they also have those really cool pop dispensers like you see at Univeral in Orlando, which give you dozens of drink options including no calorie (yur probably not to worried about that if your ordering a burger lol).
