It wasn't too crowded and I came around 3 on a weekday. Took a bit longer than expected for my fries to finish. The only drawback I have is no one is wearing hairnets. And there are a few gentlemen with considerable amounts of hair. They all wear company hats with hair coming from underneath. I stopped by here on a cold and snowy evening when most other nearby food places were closed. Thankfully Five Guys stayed open! The service was really great. When I ordered a large fries, I got an entire bag full! I thanked the workers for staying open and being there for us hungry people. :) In general, Five Guys is pricy compared to McDonalds or similar. However, the burgers are fresh and huge. We stopped in here to grab a quick bite on a Friday night. We went later than the "dinner hour" and there weren't very many people there. The staff was friendly and took our order right away and then we sat and waited for our food. People were coming in and picking up orders while we sat there. Our food was fresh and everything was at a good temperature. Apparently they call you by your order number but we didn't know that and didn't have a receipt or anything to know what it was. We basically lucked out and went to check when they called a number. My reviews are generally focused on service and for a restaurant that is basically takeout and self serve. It's surprising I was motivated to leave this review. The burgers are classic homemade Smashburger style. High quality is consistent and quick preparation. The french fries are made from fresh cut potatoes and are served in overly generous portions. This particular location stands out because of the service. It's always clean and staffed with smiling faces. I was getting takeout, which is generally prepared within 6 to 11 minutes. I arrived at the eight minute mark and the french fries were not prepared yet. Most restaurants would have done nothing, but the manager gave me a free milkshake. It has been some time since I ate at a Five Guys and after a recent visit I will not return. There is one reason - PRICE. The burgers are good, not $10.50 good. The fries are inconsistent. Sometimes fresh and hot other times cold and greasy. Never worth over $5 for a small portion. Considering you can eat a larger, better burger with fries for less at a real restaurant (like Harpo's a few miles away) or at Shake Shack for less, why spend money here? I understand inflation causes prices to increase. But these prices far exceed the inflation rate of the past 10 years substantially. Hubby surprised me with a date night here after I mentioned I had really been craving it. I'm already a fan of the chain, this was my first time at this location. The employees were very helpful and I loved that they have spunky personality. I ordered a small cheeseburger and a large cajun fry to share with Hubby. An employee called me up and let me know they had an extra burger patty on the grill and offered me a double - WOW- I declined because I can barely eat a single here but appreciated the offer. The fries were perfectly crispy outside and yet soft inside and seasoned just right with the cajun seasoning. I always eat too many of them and this visit was no different. You literally cannot stop eating these fries!!! The dining area was clean and so were the restrooms. The knock against Five Guys is that it's like the Olive Garden in that they don't season their food. Specifically, they don't put any salt on the burgers. Someone from the Internets investigated a while back. They said they don't put any salt on the burgers to keep the product consistent. Which didn't make any sense to me. If they put salt on all the burgers, would they no longer be consistent? I know every once in a while you get some dumbass who goes into a fast food restaurant and orders a burger with no salt on it. That happened sometimes when I was at White Castle. You'd have to clean off the entire grill and make a special set of burgers with no salt. It took all day. Service at this particular Five Guys is such that if someone came in with a special order like that they'd have to shut down operations. When I was in there recently, there were only two guys working the grill, the fries, the register and handing out orders. It was a weird time of day, but there was still a shedload of people in there, because it's at a very busy intersection. Also, it was like 100 degrees outside, and it may have been 80 degrees inside. It was a little bit cooler at the far end of the dining room, but not by a whole lot. One guy, i.e. half the kitchen staff, kept having to take his cap off and rub his face with his shirt. Both employees wore rubber gloves that they took off everytime they needed to touch something other than food--which goes to show how much fast food kitchens have changed since I was a young shaver. Or is that just because you can see the entire kitchen from the register? The theory at Five Guys is that if you order your burger "All the Way," i.e. with pretty much everything other than things that don't even belong on a burger, you don't even miss the salt. That's only kinda true. The toppings are really good, and the burger with all of those toppings on it is better than it has any right to be. But you can't help but wonder how good it would be if it had a truly obnoxious amount of salt on it, like senior citizens use. Speaking of which, you can get the fries in either regular or cajun style. Cajun style is just the regular fries with half a quart of cajun seasoning dumped on them. In the brief (but not brief enough) amount of time I stood there waiting for my order, the guy must have gone through two and a half bottles of cajun seasoning. I of course opted for regular fries. People say they're too greasy; I don't know what the hell is wrong with them. They must be weird adults who refuse to eat anything other than chicken fingers and cheeseburgers with no pickles on them. The fries are the one inarguably good thing they sell. Well, I guess there's also the shakes. The shakes are new since the last time I was there. I thought the whole idea behind Five Guys was to keep things simple? They must be feeling the pressure from Shake Shack. The price (like $5) brings the cost of the meal to an amount that could lead to domestic violence, but I figured, if I never get one again in life, I'd get one today, for the sake of citizen food journalism. You're welcome. As John Travolta might put it, I don't know if it was worth $5, but it was a pretty good milkshake. Pause. I couldn't see behind the counter, but it tasted like it may have been hand-dipped. But it didn't seem to take the guy very long to make it, so who knows. Shakes from a machine tend to taste vaguely of toothpaste. This, on the other hand, reminded me of when they used to have hand-dipped milkshakes at Hardee's. Five guys is a great option for ketogenic meals, and their cajun fries were just way too yummy back when I ate carbs. Like, I ate those fries a lot. I loved how crispy some of them would get. Where to begin? The first thing you will see is the amount of self-advertising inside of this place. They are the worlds best burger according to everyone. This is spelled out in large signs, on their cups, on the menu... on the door.... everywhere. Immediately you know they are making up for something lacking... The food? Well - they have burgers, hot-dogs, and fries. That's it. You get a choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, or bacon cheeseburger and then any number of standard burger toppings to go with it. The burger is one of the better fast-food type burgers you are going to get, but it is still in the fast-food category. I am happy to see that the meat looks like meat, and not ground up gristle and cartilage that comes in cheap burgers nowadays. The meat is always cooked well-done, and comes in relatively thin patties. So, if you are expecting a thicker pink in the middle patty, you will be disappointed. The flavor is good, but it is mostly the toppings, the meat itself is a bit greasy and feels like a filler. The cheese looked and tasted like the typical fake cheese at (pick your crappy fast food). Overall very meh... The fries - 5*. Whole potato, thick cut, fried in peanut oil and with just a little bit of salt. 5 Guys' best dish is the side :) The free peanuts are nice to snack on while waiting for your order. Our burgers took 10 minutes to make. Price... cheap burger, but if you get the fries and drink, which you probably will, the total is just over $10. Overall if you want burger, and want something better than a big-mac, definitely check this place out, but don't fall for the advertising of the best burger ever. read more

A little fry, chzburger, & regular drink will run 1 person about $14.xx. This location gets very busy during the week for lunch since many people work in the vicinity, so it's probably a good idea to order ahead of time online. Twenty of us descended on Five Guys after a serious morning helping clean up tornado downed trees in Moline Acres. They are well organized and handled our team very efficiently. I like how the menu works. Pick your burger and pick your toppings, rather than 50 different options and combos to scan through and try to decide. This arrangement works very well. They are made to order fresh. Five Guys serves diner burgers, thin, a la Steak and Shake. I went with mayo, mustard, pickle and jalapenos on a little burger. It was plenty big enough for me. I was pleasantly surprised that the chiles were fresh. The mayo was too heavy, but otherwise this is a fine place for this style of burger. I noted afterwards that they do have grilled onions as a topping, but did not see chili or slaw. Those would be nice to have. Nothing wrong here. Efficient system, decent choice of toppings. I would not go so far as supporting all of their claims to best burger. read more

It is my first Five Guys Burgers experience. We ordered hamburger all the way $6.09 and bacon burger $7.09. We were friendly told that the normal burger has 2 stacks. I thought it should be fine. I ate Big Mac all the time. I was totally wrong! The delicious hamburger was so big and heavy. I love it, but I could not finish it by myself. The fries was also very good. Now, the food is pretty good, don't get me wrong, but it is way over the top greasy and salty, I feel so guilty when I eat here. a double cheeseburger is way to much food for one person, so I usually split one with my hubby. Then when you add fries to your order, they fill up a cup, put it in a brown paper bag, then dump a ton more on top of that. Now, I know people like a lot of food when they order, but it is a bit too much for the average person. Another thing I do like about this place is they have barrels of peanuts around the store that you can munch on while you wait for your food. Another thing i do NOT like, is the price. For a burger with fries and drink, I paid almost $14, which doesn't seem like that great of a value to me.
