So many In n Out Fanboys will never try this place and it's a shame. Best burgers. Kicks In n Out in the Double Double if you get my drift.

Well, where to start. The decor shouting we are great is over the top and seems east coast braggadocio, not really suitable for the left coast. The peanuts get a 5 for idea, 3 for flavor. The staff was helpful for a first timer ordering and they do mean that the fries are a huge order. The selection of toppers is awesome and much appreciated, having it your way like BK on steroids. Flavor of the burger and overall sandwich was extremely good. Pricing is more than I like to pay for a fast food burger, but I think the value is there and I will be back. Oh yeah and if I had to choose between east and west coast burgers, I would have to abandon my native west coast joint. read more

They should rename this place "Eleven Dollar Mediocre Fast Food Combo Land" In N Out is 3x better for half the price. 1) Burger patty wasn't all that great 2) Bun tasted like Wonderbread packaged buns. AND IT WASNT EVEN TOASTED!!!! Cardinal sin of a burgery 3) Fries were the soggiest, no-texture ones Ive ever had....sucked and who needs 3 pounds of fries in small order? Really? Ummm country has a massive obesity problem. 4) Crappy american cheese. When a quick burger/fries meal costs 11$ I want real swiss or cheddar. In N Out's american cheese is sooo much better too. 5) Tastes like the burgers you get at a backyard bbq where there is a huge crowd-Costco forzen patty etc. 6) I dont get all the "we're the best mentality" 5 guys-your food sucks and its overpriced. 7) When you gimmick is "look at all of our toppings" that says that they don't do the basics right being the bun, the patty, the fries, and the cheese. They got the order wrong. The food takes forever to be ready. Burger was ok, but the fries were a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, hot but soggy, not a crisp to be found in the bunch. Save yer money. Too noisy, people could not hear or understand the guy calling out the numbers for the ready orders. read more

So this is my second visit but my first review. The space is pretty good sized and fits in the lunch rush. What I love about this joint is you can add all the extra toppings you want with no extra charge!! That's pretty awesome to me. And the hamburger patties are fresh and made to order. They taste like a fresh made patty in your own kitchen. They also post a sign daily that tells you where their potatoes came from for the day. Kind of cool. So you know what your eating. The portions are perfect. A large fry will feed a family of 5 easily. And for a good price. They are fresh cut potatoes daily and they are sooooo yummy. They don't have combo meals. So we order burger, a couple drinks and split a large fry for a decent price. Also, while wishing for your meal to be cooked, they have stacks of massive bags of peanuts that are free for everyone to enjoy. You just go to the stack and fill up a boat of peanuts. Pretty cool. It's a very clean restaurant too. I like that. We always have a good experience here and can't wait to go back. Must try. read more

Great as always if not just a little expensive, awesome amount of fires and really good burgers. I get everything and then someone with jalapenos and grilled onions. One of the best parts are the free peanuts good thing to snack on when waiting for your food. I hear you throw the shells on the floor but I never do, especially when I'm there late I don't wanna make them clean them up before they leave. Great place i highly recommend it. Wow! Really? Line out the door, simple menu, seemingly good ingredients, but IMHO the burger tasted nothing better than Wendy's. In-N-Out beats them hands down -flavor and price. Five Guys fries were good but the burger was just not that special. I had the Little Cheesburger w/ the Works, a couple of Kosher dogs plain, a Veggie Burger (which was just a cheeseburger sans meat), and a couple of Cokes. BTW no tap or filtered water available! Seating was tight, but the facilities were clean and service quick. The guy that took our order was curt and less than explanitory when asked questions. This place needs a lot of work. First off the burgers have no seasoning at all. You can add all the topping you like but when it comes down to it the burger is what counts and this burger is flavorless. I also can't stand the LOUD music and shouting that goes on here. My husband and I tried Five Guys after hearing about it from a friend. We went on a Thursday night, around 6ish. It was busy to say the least. Not too many people in line, but a lot of people at the tables eating or waiting to pick up their order. If you don't mind the noise or the crowds, it isn't so bad. The burgers were great! The regular burgers have two patties, which I didn't know when ordering! They are huge and messy, but still enjoyable and very tasty. Next time I will order the mini burger which is only one patty. Fries: good if you like fries that aren't crunchy, which we do. But the large order we shared was WAY to big, even to share, especially when you have a burger with two patties. We will be back. I am sure it will be very popular in the summer time with the outdoor seating and ample parking! ***Word to the wise: they give out free peanuts while you wait for your order. So be careful if you are with someone with a peanut allergy because the peanuts are out in the open and the patrons tend to be very messy with the shells!*** read more

i was a little bit skeptical at first because most of the reviews so far aren't great, but i am glad i ended up going here and trying it any. five guys is a nice change from IN-N-OUT.... i like the choices of toppings they have to offer here and my burger was not sloppy at all, the cajun fries were good, but they were a little soft... which i didnt like, it would be nice to have a more crisp fry. i'll return for sure though, i'm a fan. read more

Well, my mother in law told me about this place since I love burgers. Well, nothing to write home about! The burger was good, but the place was dirty with peanuts all over the place n the floor! It was super loud in there as well. I love Mikes at the crossroads way better and In N Out is way better too! We've gone to Five Guys quite a few times because I eat a low carb diet which their extremely customizable burgers in a bowl works quite well with. When they get your order right, which is unfortunately pretty rare. 3 out of the last 4 times we've been there, my burger has come with a bun. 2 of these times, the ingredients inside weren't correct either. I like their meat the best out of the burger places I've been to. Their cheese could really use an upgrade, the rest of the add-ons are good. My husband loves the grilled onions on his burger. Service is pretty hit and miss, iypts only been truly terrible once. read more

First time I tried this place due to the "good ratings" their were getting and how they're slightly better than In-n-Out. I was up in this area to visit a friend who was in the ICU at Kaiser and when going back home decided to swing by here and try it out. The burgers are really small! It's almost like sliders but slightly bigger. I would have to say that In-n-Out burgers or even Jenny's burgers are way better than this place. I probably won't be coming back to this place any time soon but at least I got the chance to say I tried it once. read more

Finally got a chance to have lunch here and see what all the hype is all about. It's been touted as the East Coast version of In-n-Out. 5 Guys has a bigger menu, more burger choices and a very lengthy list of toppings. All their burgers come with two patties unless you order their mini which comes with just 1 patty. I had the bacon burger with lettuce, tomatoes and grilled mushrooms. I also ordered fries and a drink which all totaled a little over 11 bucks! Pretty steep for a fast food burger meal. The burger was larger than an In-n-Out burger and had really good flavor! The only problem I had was the bun was not toasted like at In-n-Out and it was rather soft bread. Too soft for such a hefty burger it turns out because about 5 bites in my thumb wore a hole into the bottom bun and I was touching the mushrooms and patty of my burger. My co-worker had even worse luck. His bun pretty much fell apart before he was even half way through, very annoying for an 11 dollar meal. The amount of fries was pretty impressive as the cup they put them in is very small but they dumped more than the cups worth into the bag they gave me my meal in. The fries themselves a bigger cut and seemed soggy and had no crispness at all. All in all not a very tasty burger, but pricey with bad buns and average fries. If this is what the East Coast has to offer in ways of the burgers, looks like I'll be going to In-nOut way more than I will be hanging with the 5 Guys. read more

Meh. This place does't live up to all the hype. The food is good, but not enough to justify the price.

First, I'd like to say a few things for those that haven't eaten here before and to add my opinion towards some negative reviews here on yelp. This spot is more on the fast-food type of things when it comes to food so if you go in thinking its going to be some restaurant style burger, you may find yourself dissapointed. It is GREASY! And it is DELICIOUS! If you find greasy food repulsive you probably shouldn't bother going here. Also, their fries are soft, some crispier. You won't find super crispy fries here. They are not like in n out. If you are looking for quick and easy food, that tastes delicious, than you're in luck! Because 5 guys is the way to go for burger and fries. They hook you up on fries (filling your cup and then pretty much doubling that in the bag) and they also charge a flat rate for their burgers, but give you options like "bacon" "mushrooms".."extra cheese"..to add to it. These guys, habit, and in n out are the only places I'll get a fast food burger at, but no one else has those Cajun fries. So 5 guys wins!! Okay now on to my personal review: My fiance and I love this place!!! (He gives it 5 stars too) we always order on the app via our phones and it's always either ready or in the process when we get there. (We generally leave within 5 mins of placing the order and live about 10-15m away). He gets the cheeseburger with bbq sauce, mayo, bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms. I get basically an "animal style in n out cheeseburger," but the five guys way! The staff is always upbeat and have fun personalities! Weve never been disappointed with their burgers or fries and I get to make my blue powerade and sprite combo which I don't see at many places haha. But the one thing I love the most, is their CAJUN FRIES!! They can be a bit spicy at times so I wouldn't recommend ordering if you don't like spice.. but they've pretty much changed my perception on how a fry should be made. Their flippin fantastic!! Overall, different strokes for different folks.. this place has always had our vote! Try it out! read more

This was my first time here and I was so excited because I had heard such wonderful things. However I'll never know because my burger was made wrong and I didn't eat it. Items were missing and other items I never asked for were put on. I am so sad it was such a simple and plain burger not sure how it got messed up. Have been here several times since the place opened and have ordered the same thing every time, Bacon Cheeseburger All The Way.. love all the toppings and the patties are decent sized. My one complaint about the burger is that the buns tend to be a bit on the soft side. Now onto the fries.. personally, I like them but several people I have gone with say they are too soft and lack the necessary crunch to be a real french fry. At times, I agree as they fall apart as I try to dip them into ketchup. As my rating suggests, I'm a fan of the place so I'll be back! read more

This was an outing with my daughter as I am a vegan. Yes! The service was excellent, the guy that helped me was so sweet I just wanted to go back inside and give him a big hug! Finally an alternative to In n Out! I have never been a huge fan of In n Out anyway. Despite some of the bad reviews and some complaints from my friends, I actually think this place makes a decent burger. I order mine "all the way" and like the fact that it's practically falling apart by the time I am halfway through. A messy burger is a good burger, in my opinion.
