This used to be the second best Five Guys in the area. Yesterday, I arrived back home and discovered my order of fries did not make it into the bag. Drove back and spoke with the counter person about this. He fixed me up with a large order of fries and replacement hot burgers for the ones chilling on my counter. This was fair compensation in my opinion. Of course, the manager then logged into an industry cyberstalking board and told the other takeout places I was unreasonable. This resulted in two disastrous meals from Panda Express. Guys, cyberstalking may be fun but it can still be charged as a felony. Time to get back onto the right side of history. read more

This is the five guys I visit most often and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly and the board of Five Guys Fan Art is always a welcoming sight(although it could be more visible). The staff is supremely enthusiastic and one of the cashiers, Alex, was such a cool dude he conversed with me while opening plastic bags while I was waiting for my food. I always order a regular sized burger(big) and never finish it... but the bacon cheeseburger all the way with large fries never fails to please the crowd. That means share your fries with friends because they put hella fries in the bag. 10/10 would come back again. They have open peanuts and cook fries in peanut oil and stuff like that but as a peanut-allergy-possessing customer nothing bad ever happens to me. Pictures to be posted next time. read more

I love, love, love the cheeseburgers here! When I'm craving a great cheeseburger with all the fixings, this is my go-to place. If you haven't tried these burgers, you're missing out! The regular small cheeseburger is big enough for regular appetites. The large is good if you have a big appetite. You have many choices of what you want in your burger without extra charges. I love mine with everything, including mushrooms but minus onions. Also, the fries are excellent, hard to beat!Yummy!! read more

Consistently very good! I still say Juicy Burger is my official fav burger, but Five Guys is probably my second favorite. Sometimes they take a little long to make your food, but it's all fresh and made to order, so it's kinda expected and worth it. The staff has been on it as far as new covid practices go. Came here in the late afternoon and the place was pretty empty - ordered their small version of the bacon cheeseburger, a drink and small fries (came out under $13.00) Drinks are free refills and you can help yourselves...I opted for the unsweetened ice tea. I did not go for their free peanuts because ...well they are placed next to the door near the soda machines but they are also too close to the bathrooms for my liking. The bathrooms here though (at least the womens') was very clean (A+++). read more

Disappointing. I had heard so much about 5 guys... First, if you are not used to the concept, you get 2 slices of bread and a patty for lunch...ok...that was my mistake, and everybody had a good laugh BUT...the meat didn't taste right. More like a 3.5, but since I am a fan of the free toppings I'll give it the extra .5 I've had five guys before, and I actually like it a lot. Usually I go for the cheeseburger, but then I think I could have been satisfied with just one patty. So today I tried the little cheeseburger, and I found out that I was wrong. It turns out one patty is not satisfying at all. The problem with the little burgers are that there's too much bun and not enough meat. The patty is surprisingly small when there's only one, and the bun really masks the flavor from every other ingredient. If they could make the buns smaller, I'm pretty sure the burger would taste a lot better. But anyway, I still think Five Guys is delicious because of all the choices of toppings and sauces. Also, the regular fries are big and tasty, and a regular size fries is probably good enough for three people since they just throw a bunch of fries in the bag anyway. I don't think the cajun seasoning adds anything to the fries, but that might just be me. read more

After pushing two tables together for our big party, we ordered at the counter then waited for our food -which took about six minutes! I had a cheeseburger, some fries and a chocolate milkshake and both were DELICIOUS ( -I highly recommend the latter if you want an old fashioned and smooth drink). The burger was juicy but the best part was that you had a hand in designing it -you basically get to customize them! Which is awesome. All in all, it was a great experience! Nice place - food is big - love the airconditioning.  Old fashioned burgers cooked to order with all the fixings. Tip: skip the frys and eat the free peanuts!  My kids love them and it is just like the circus! Love the Cajun frys too!  Not too spicey. Extremely rude employees! I ordered a pickup and arrived at the store where one of the girl making the burgers yelled, " we will be right with you" and then made me wait for 10 minutes so I decided to walk over to the cashier and the girl making the burgers yells again, " we will be right with you" and I just ignore her and proceed to talk to the cashier and she informed me my food has been sitting on the counter for more than 10 minutes. I asked why they can't you just give it to me and she goes , " it's missing the fries" and tells me to wait for the guy to add fries. About 10 minutes later, I see the guy adding fries to other bags completely ignoring mine And the girl making the burgers keeps looking at me and she knew I've been waiting but continues to ignore me but whenever she sees another person approach the pickup counter she's attentive to them and tells the guy to help them. After about 25 minutes of waiting, the guy puts fries into my order and slams it on the pick up section counter. Basically they made me wait 25 minutes just to add fries to my order even though the burger was ready by the time I got there. When I got home, the burger was soggy and cold. Mind you they were not busy at all. There were maybe 5 people in the restaurant. I won't be back to five guys ever again! read more

I'm still more of an In n Out burger kinda girl, but sometimes you just need the extra toppings like bacon and jalapeños. Pops really enjoys the free peanuts this place offers. good burgers but they're slightly on the sloppy/messy side. if you dont mind getting down... this spot is for you. unlimited toppings such as grilled mushrooms, jalapenos, and your typical condiments. YUM. they also give you unlimited peanuts just to snack on. im not big on peanuts but thats an added bonus that makes them stand out. be advised that burgers can come out a bit soggy at times but that doesnt bother me too much. Loud atmosphere so it can be a bit hard not to shout. customer service is always on point and they even have some out door seating. read more

I'm still in shock from my last visit to this location.I take my kids and grandchildren here,wife and I lunch dates.Food is awesome,cashier and manager usually is too.Except for today,we were there around 1pm today,wife and I lunch date,anyway we ordered our usual.Wife got hers and it had cheese,we specifically said a bacon burger,not a bacon cheeseburger,so we are past that one,so after I returned the sandwich to the cashier,I received nothing but attitude,because she insisted we said cheese.She slammed the sandwich in the trash,and told the manager we asked for cheese,they gave us a new sandwich,I asked for my price difference from the manager(manager was the cook with a black hat)he made a big deal about it being only .50 cents and practically threw it at me.I After that we realized the bacon wasn't in there,so I want back to the same cook,manager.I mentioned the bacon was missing,the response I got from this guy.Yelling at me telling me to calm down,when I've remained calm on this whole disaster of a visit.this guy yelled,like he wanted to fight,and he's the manager,wow!i couldn't believe it,we could and should of chose somewhere else to go to,honestly.So we will go to the Cottle location from now on.I never experienced such a negative experience such as this.I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else!should have had video on this,I was in absolute shock and I couldn't believe it! read more

First time coming in to order from this location. Highly recommend this Five Guys! After being greeted with a smile and placing my order, waited around about 10mins and noticed I didn't hear my order number called. Approached the workers passing out orders and was informed someone else claimed my order, was pretty upset about the situation. Although the customer service from the manager "Huy V." there was beyond amazing. After showing him my receipt, he insisted on a partial refund for the inconvenience and my order. Burgers are of decent size and taste just as fresh as In N' Out's. I like the idea of piling as many as toppings/condiments for free... however, the price is a little steep compared to other burger joints. Bigger burgers, cajun fries, free peanuts = 5 Guys Secret spread, cheaper prices, animal style fries = In N' Out It's definitely a toss up between the two for me. Guess it just depends on my mood. I placed my order online. I waited about 1 hour, the restaurant was not busy. I walk in and a guy runs from behind me and jumps in front to talk to the guys passing out the completed orders. I told him I was here this guy jump In front of me. I told him my name. He grabs a bag and says nothing to me. But he filled the other guys bags and still says nothing to me. He hands the guy his order and still never said anything to me regarding my order. I ask the guy again if there is an update on my order. He points at the bag. Says nothing. I then speak to the manager. At this point I don't know what is going on. The manager says he will talk to him. The manager pulls the guy off the floor to speak to him. Another cool walks over looks in the bag the guy pointed at scoops fries into my bag then hands it to me. At this point I am like what in the hell... Five Guys.....the target of so much hate and ignorance! First of all, I want to address ppl's feelings on the burgers itself. Five Guys offers a fatty, juicy burger with a slew of free toppings. Yes, it's messy. That's how burgers should be when it's got tons of toppings/condiments and has a nice, juicy patty of meat between two soft, scrumptious bread buns. The quality and taste of the burger is the best you can get at a fast food joint. I emphasize.......A FAST FOOD JOINT! We're not talking about a kobe beef or angus beef burger at a fancy joint that'll cost you $20 or more! We're talking about comparing it to McD's, BK, In&Out, Wendy's, JITB, Carl's Jr, etc. And, if you go with that mindset, you have to admit to yourself that it's a pretty tasty burger. May not be the best, but certainly near the top. If you don't like the mess, then do NOT order too many toppings that will add liquid/sauce to the burger! Secondly, let's discuss the price since ppl believe it's a tad expensive at Five Guys. I think ppl are getting the regular burger which has two patties of meat. One patty of meat in the "Little" Five Guys burger has probably the equivalent of a double at In&Out since the patties at In&Out are actually pretty small and thin. So, comparing the "Little" Five Guys burger with single patty burgers of other fast food joints, the price isn't too far off.....about $2-3. With the fries, the regular sized fries at Five Guys is about double the amount of fries you would get with a single order at any fast food joint. So, you're getting double the fries which two ppl can share. The cost of drinks and shakes are pretty much the same. Thus, if you and a friend order two "Little" Five Guy burgers, one regular fries, and drinks, the price is pretty close to the price of two meals at any other joint, which are usually about $6-7 each. That said, I just visited this new location over the weekend and I found it much more organized and cleaner than the Fremont and The Plant locations. The line moved very fast and the orders came out much quicker. Plus, you have a "nicer" crowd at the Almaden location. A lot of families and couples that don't cut in line like at the Plant! My only qualm would be fries at this location. I saw the same issue at the Plant location too. That is, they put a little too much cajun seasoning on their fries. read more

This is a four and a half... but just couldn't go the extra 1/2. I heard that Five Guys had opened up near our closest COSTCO, so this was my weekend "splurge". Dr. R and I each ordered a little burger (I added bacon, he added cheese) with everything, cajun fries and regular sized drinks. Total was sixteen and change. The burgers were really tasty and the condiments were righteous. You know it's good when you can taste that the pickle chips are bread and butter, you can see the fried onions and the last bite has a little bit of mushroom, yum. One thing I liked was if you have different burgers in your order, they label them with a number and there is a "key" stapled to the side of the bag. That way someone doesn't have to open the burger's wrap to see which one is which. I like that aLOT! The cajun fries were really spicy (my mouth is still burning, not just tingling), and there were more than the two of us could eat, even though we gave it a good shot. I know, I know, I heard my mother yelling about wasting food, but we just couldn't eat any more! It's a small detail, but I also like the fact that they had Heinz ketchup. It's one of the few things that buying the brand name makes a difference, imho. The site itself is nice and clean. There were lots and lots of seating. Wing Stop next door has outdoor tables that they have labeled, "For Wing Stop Customers Only". Service was with a smile, from the cashier to the guy sweeping the floor and moving the trash around. Soda dispenser had Coke products (including Zero and Caffeine Free Diet Coke). We enjoyed our lunch. I know many people compare this to In and Out, but Five Guys have a waaaay more varied menu! Like so many things these days, I just don't get it. The first thing you notice about In-N-Out, OOPS, I mean Five Guys, is the unique Red & White checkered, simple decor. hmmm....It seems familiar. The menu is small and simple with only a few options. Again, seems vaguely familiar. There are a lot of clean cut looking young people working hard at their job. I don't know where I have seen this business model before? It's so different. What didn't seem too familiar to me were the peanuts, slew of topping choices for your burgers, high prices and underwhelming burgers & fries. All in all, it's like the Fringe version of In-N-Out in the parallel universe. The same but different and somehow not even close to as good. read more
