Burgers and seasoned fries are very good, but on the pricey side for a fast food burger joint. Always made to order, fresh and delicious though! read more

Five Guys - Soggy old bun, taste like they let a microwave heat it up - Burgers Near Me - Portage, Indiana

I love five guysto me it's like a Subway for hamburgers. You can get it literally with anything on it you want and you handpick it

I was craving a hamburger so my friend dropped one off. The hamburger was tasteless and so disappointed in the fries as they seemed rewarmed so small and soggy. Will continue to go to the location in Valporaiso who has great customer service and never disappoints in the quality of food. read more

I love this place (food) I don't know if I have eaten inside this one, but door dash at least once a week. High price as far as burger chains but you get what you pay for. My personal favorite place for a burger read more

King of the burger chains. Place is spotless. Quick food. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious. Monday night was a quiet night with only about three other customers in the place. read more

So glad to have them & Starbucks (right next door) in Portage. Not a lot up there when shopping. Awesome burgers and fries made to order. Higher prices than McDonalds, but better quality and quantity. Don't pass them up! read more

I had the y, most disgusting burger from this location . I couldn't even finish eating it, I could wring out the liquid out of the burger. I was so disappointed. You just lost a loyal customer. read more

Five guys always has good birgers and fries. Not mention they have free peanuts at the door. So don't forget to grab them. Its a nice place to come to after a movie for some burgers. Also they are high calorie food. Their fries are the bomb. Staff was professional and attentive. Store looked pretty clean as well. Definitely a next time read more

I absolutely love this place. If I could eat beef all the time I would so be in here everyday mixingband matching different combinations of burger! The prices are what they usually are. I will say the food is always worth it. I never leave this place with a frown. When I have a bad day this place will always lift my spirits. Big burger and a shake is all you need to drown that evil monster of anger. The people are always sooo friendly and patient. They always take their time and make everything to perfection. I totally could eat their fries and nothing else. Mmmmm The place is always super clean and as soon as you are done someone is out wiping tables. Way to go. I definitely recommend. Score as follows: Cleanliness: exceptional 5 Customer service: exceptional 5 Prices: average 3 Location: excellent 5 Quality: excellent 5 23 out of 25= 5stars read more

Beyond Rude and Ignorant. I called with an order that was a re order and gave them my information. I also let them know that I wasn't sure of the exact date that they messed up the previous order and was put on hold for what I assumed to find the credit and when they came back I was told Abruptly that I had 2 weeks not a month to re order. I began to reply and was laughed at and hung up on. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what the problem is at this particular Five Guys. Hopefully someone reads this that can do something to help turn around that staff to prevent this from happening again. read more

Food was very good. However for just opening after the Covid crisis no one was cleaning the few tables after customers leave. Very Concerning!!! read more

The burgers here are the best "fast food" burgers I've ever tasted. These guys use fresh beef, never frozen. There isn't even a freezer on the premises. Your burgers are made after you order, and they are always juicy and delicious. The fries put all competitors to shame. They are made to order from bags of fresh potatoes that sit waiting in the middle of the dining room. One order of fries is plenty for two people to share. Highly recommended. read more

Wow! That's all i could say. I'm not a big cheeseburger person but this place changed me on that. The mushroom with a1 sauce was to die for! The fries oh so yummy. Strawberry shake? Yes please!!! I'm hooked after one trip. This place is addictive read more

Best burgers ever! Also the customer service is great too! If you're ever in the this area you definitely have to try them.

The food obviously gets 6 stars out of 5. But the service? I have had too many encounters where I would submit an online order, show up on time and it's still not ready. So today I decided to step up my game and submit the order, and show up a tiny bit after the time it should have been ready. I showed up 5-6 minutes late and I STILL had to wait for about 10-15 minutes. Not only is the waiting inconvenient, nobody seems to care. Not once was I ever thanked or apologized to. And it's not like there was anybody else in the restaurant either. And this is about the 4th or 5th time the same experience has happened to me. read more

They always WAY to much salt on their fries. Like would you like a side of fried with your salt. Jeeeez.

If you want a take out burger in Portage this is the place to get it. Their food is tasty and fresh and they even have a few delivery options. The inside is always clean but its pretty small and the majority of their tables are high top which isn't my preference, but that's not important because we usually order take out. read more

My delivery order was not sealed properly, it was open to where you could literally look and use fingers to reach into bag. I couldn't eat the fries if I wanted to they were LOADED salt. Very disappointed this was my first time trying FIVE GUYS read more

Before, I would give this place more stars. We like their food. They were previously courteous and we had gone there a lot. Recently, they have been hired in New people, and they sit on their phones behind the counter and do not care if you see what they're doing. It's pretty sad when you come in for an online order and it hasn't even been started because they forgot, and then after they realize, they're still not hurrying to do it because some girl's phone is more interesting. Get your stuff together or you will lose customers. read more

Management was really weak last night. The place looks dirty, food all over kitchen floor, trash bins overflowing, beverage station sticky, tables in seating area not cleaned and floor not swept. Didn't venture in the toilet but can only imagine! Btw the grilled cheese here is terrible. read more

The food here is amazing. More importantly, however, the customer service at this location is exceptional. After eating I ordered a shake for my daughter to go. After waiting approximately 15 minutes it became clear to me that the order had fallen through the cracks. They were very busy this particular day. I approached the counter and politely asked when the shake would be ready. When the staff person realized we had been waiting that long she not only insisted on giving me a refund (I did not ask for this) but gave me a Five Guys gift card as well. People are human. Mistakes are made. But in the food industry, how you deal with mistakes is of the utmost importance. The Five Guys on US Hwy 6 in Portage get 5 stars for how they handled my situation. And I WILL be back!!! Thank you Five Guys. read more

We ate here today for the first time and our food was really good. At first I thought it was a bit expensive for a burger joint, but the food was really good and the service was even better. I really enjoyed Five Guys, we'll be back for sure. read more

This was my 1st time and proably my last time to the Five Guys restaurant in Portage, IN. The cost was quite expensive compared to other such restauants in the area. I was surprised that the person that took our order did not know what a Chicago dog was and I had to tell her what is supposed to go on it. The beverage dispenser gave the user a message that diet Coke was unavailable. My daughter had the small bacon cheeseburger which cost $5.79. She said it was good, but tasted just like one from another restaurant that you can get in a $4.00 combo which includes 2 other items and a drink. She also had a chocolate shake which she said was good, but was only about 2/3 the size of ones at other restaurants. We also split a large order of fries which were very good and more than we could eat. Overall it was O.K., but not worth the cost. read more

They are so good. At first I thought they where really greasy. Then I ate it and it tasted like heaven. I recommend 5 guys for Burger and fry lovers. read more

Lost my order ticket and couldn't even acknowledge me when I walked up to ask where my food was. Maybe the manager should get off his laptop and pay attention to the crew members goofing around at the grill. Waited 20 minutes to only be ignored, oh and try to look a upset customer in the eye when you try to apologize. Forget your $15 gift card, I am not coming back for poor service and overpriced cheeseburgers. read more

Five Guys hosted a fundraiser for our senior class mission trip. The service was great! The food was great! We made a lot of money. Thanks Five Guys! read more

They have the best burgers, always fresh with premium toppings. We love eating at all of the local 5 Guys and were super excited when one opened in Portage. Very recently we partnered with them to do a fundraiser for our daughter's cheer program, it was really easy and smooth to set up. We didn't have to do anything more than advertise and share the flyer and Facebook event they made for us and our contact checked in by email multiple times prior to our event. We will definitely be partnering with them again in the future! read more

I really had an excellent dine in experience here. The GM running the place did a excellent job, he was very cordial, helpful, and caring of all of us that were in the restaurant. His enthusiasm that he displayed was very refreshing and Its very rare to find that especially in the fast food industry. It seems like a lot of fast food places want to rush you your food and get you out the door, but at the portage five guys the staff is very inviting and I felt welcome to stay as long as they would let me. Salute to the GM and his concern for the patrons and making sure we had our cups filled and whatever else we that was needed. He and his staff were excellent and you guys have definitely gained a regular customer in my family and I. read more
