I had plans on Frisco but then found out there was another Portillo's down the street from me. Walking in and looking at all of the decor and set up were reminiscent of Portillo's in Chicago but with a Texas spin. The order counter is still there but added a few self order kiosks. The pick up window is down from the order counter and you wait for your number to be called. The Chicago dog, Maxwell St. polish sausage and the Italian beef tasted exactly as I remembered: delicious, juicy meat, tasty sausage and dogs were all top notch. This is THE place in Dallas and Frisco for that authentic Chicago food made famous all over America.

My family ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, and the Ringer burger. Every single meal was excellent. The flavors were bold, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was prepared perfectly. A special mention goes to the Pretzel Bites. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich cheese sauce and mustard aioli. They made a great starter and disappeared quickly from the table. The service was also excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did a great job despite clearly wearing multiple hats throughout the restaurant. I definitely appreciated the effort. And for beer lovers, Dog Haus offers beer in 1-liter pours. Naturally, I had to take advantage of that. The egg was super soft and tender, and the sauce paired perfectly with it. It was so good that I finished it in just a few minutes. Highly recommended!
