Grilled Cheese Sandwich
ILIA A.

Friendly service. Made fresh to order right in front of you. Grilled cheese is epic when you customize it by adding a patty and whatever toppings you might like. I usually add lettuce, onions, and green peppers. The seasoned Cajun fries are delicious! Made freshly cut from Idaho potatoes, and they even tell you what farm they are from. The portion size for the fries is huge. Even the small is shareable! They also have unlimited fresh peanuts you can have while you wait for your food. It's one of my top burger places!

I was sooo disappointed yesterday coming to this location. I've been here before and haven't had an issue in the past. Yesterday I went and spent about $70 in food. First I noticed in the car that the milkshake was not chocolate and Oreo cream as I originally ordered as shown in the photo. I received a Chocolate and Oreo cookie milkshake. My s/o went inside and brought the milkshake back with the receipt. They gave him the milkshake back and gave him a Oreo Cream milkshake. I'm not sure if they wanted me to mix them together but I just thought that was ridiculous. The burgers were also incorrectly labeled which I didn't take a photo of because I realized this at home. This is very upsetting given I have never had an issue with Five Guys and they have an awesome reputation. I would've understood if they were busy, but there were only 2 other customers there and they had been attended already. Never coming to this location again.

This Five Guys is located in the heart of tourist land. One thing I noticed was all the cooks at this location where women. It was late and they were busy so the chefs were really flipping those burgers. I had to wait a short time for my food to go. Most everyone was wearing a mask and people were spread out for social distancing but it is not a big place. The burger and fries were what you have come to expect from this chain. I recently tried a lot of different burgers during Orlando Burger week. I think their food is high quality and the service and effort were superior. I just think their are places where you can get a better burger cooked to the temperature you desire.

The overpriced vanilla milkshake and the 'free' peanuts were the best parts of the meal. The beef burger was tasty and my wife declared the skin on French fries the worst she ever tasted. I agree. I had avoided five guys for a long time as I couldn't justify to myself the prices charged for what is, essentially, fast food - it seems the premium price is down to their use of fresh potatoes, meat without fillers and peanut oil to fry the fries in. Having spent the last 6 weeks eating quality food - fillet steak, lobster, halibut - we decided junk. We passed this place and thought let's try it. How bad can it be. Having tried it we find there's nothing to write home about and it is well overpriced at 30 bucks for two small burgers, a medium fries, a Diet Coke and a milk shake. We will not return. The staff were on automatic pilot as it's all process for them.

It's a pretty average Five Guy place. The cashier was pretty nice and the burgers and fries was good as usual. They did made their sweet tea not that good. It was just sugary and barely tea taste and non sweet tea also barely have tea taste. Other than that, the staffs are cool and food is like other Five Guys.

The "little" fry. Boy, they just don't give you enough!

Ok, I'm biased. I have a love of Five Guys that rivals that of a Chick Fil A fan. And I've posted several reviews on other Five Guys and like this, they are all 5 stars. Let's focus on the differences in this store for this exercise. Paying with a debit card? A pin is needed. This is a good thing. Many 5G will allow the US Debit to go through without a check. Napkin station is filled to the brim. No need to go to the counter. The self-promoting signage is minimal here. This is also good, as opinions from 2011 differ from 2021. The seating... this is where I think an improvement can be made. There's plenty of seats. But a lot of the tables are of the communal 8-seat type. Only a handful are tables of 4, and usually those are blocked off for those with disabilities. Get here early. I went to one location on the east coast that has bagged peanuts due to the pandemic. This isn't one of them. Oh well. My name is Aldo, and I am a Five Guys Aholic. "HI, ALDO!"

finally got to try out five guys' famous cheeseburgers and fries for the very first time with my friend michelle. it's a popular american fast food chain with a similar feel to in-n-out burger. I persoanlly do like in-n-out burger tho. A good thing about five guys is that they have 2 size of burgers to choose from, and their "little cheeseburger" isn't really that little. It's big enough to fill me up. We also tried the grill cheese sandwich, but i was kind of disappointed because they just used the same hamburger bun for the grill cheese, and i thought there would be a toast like sandwich bun used specifically for grill cheese. Their fries are pretty delicious to be honest, it's a bit greasy but seasoned nicely Little Cheeseburger - $5.79 Grill Cheese Sandwich - $4.39 Regular Fies - $4.29

Do you see this tin? Empty. Something might taste good but you don't finish it. This, I finished this cheese burger (ALL THE WAY) Was so good. Nothing was left. Also, even for regular fries (1) Enough to feed 2 people! Awesome! The night crew tonight 9/2/20 Even during this pandemic we're so awesome and nice. Thank you for the great service and food!

A new location and a fresh experience with food we love. Go away all you haters. I have driven past this one a couple times now and today we stopped for lunch...... at lunchtime. First off they had a good amount of customers both inside and out but we got lucky to only have one in front of us in line. We placed our order just as easy as at any other location we have been to. The employees were all friendly and courteous. There were dividers at the registers and all employees were wearing masks and gloves. I also spotted one going through and thoroughly cleaning tables and chairs and other surfaces. My companion got a shake and it was ready before we walked away from the counter. We had a very reasonable wait for our food and it was hot. They were also very generous with the fries unlike some we have visited more recently. My companion was very happy with their Little Bacon Cheeseburger as usual. I had the Bacon Dog with just mustard, hot sauce and pickles and it was excellent. I usually get more topping but a broken tooth is limiting the types and amounts of things I can currently have (long story). Sometimes you just have to have Five Guys. I have to say that this location feels a bit smaller on the inside and was a bit overcrowded for part of our visit but everyone seemed good with it. For us Five Guys is always a good stop for a meal, especially when nothing in particular appeals.

THE DOUBLE GRILLED CHEESEBURGER

THE DOUBLE GRILLED CHEESEBURGER Ordered from the secret menu. You know it's not ordered from often when 1) they have to ask how to ring it up 2) ask if they can take a picture. Now make sure you try this on a cheat day because I know it was well over 1500 calories, but it is an amazing burger. It's two patties smothered in cheese between 2 grilled cheese sandwich's. For the cheese lovers that's 8 slices of cheese! I enjoyed mine with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and ended up adding bacon to it as well. Sometimes you just need to splurge and enjoy life. Loved watching them make my customized burger. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

We love Portillo's. We have been here for a few Yelp event as well as just on our own. My wife and…read moreher parents are from Chicago, the home of Portillo's, so when they visit us, we have to go here! We do not normally come to this location but they are all pretty similar. This location is on 535 very close to SeaWorld, and also in a very touristy area. They have opened a few locations around Central Florida. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive thru. I think their food is best eaten there so its hot and fresh. Inside their decor is a mix of old timey cars and car hops. It reminds me of a restaurant you would find in the 60s. Its fun, the staff are fun, there is music and they also sell beer. I don't think I have ever really seen a fast food restaurant serving beer. Im sure they exist but I cant think of one. This is a fun environment, the staff calls your order out and then when its ready they use very fun slogans to tell you its time, such as "Order 165 it's time to shine" and "Order 173 come and meet me". This is perfect for families not looking to spend a ton of money and also get a hot dinner or lunch. There were a lot of families in here eating dinner when we went. It is very touristy at this location, the shopping center it is in, also has a White Castle so just be prepared. There were plenty of parking spots though. Portillo's menu is very simple, they have hot dogs, burgers/chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls and Italian beef. However, they are most known for their Chicago style hot dogs. Their Italian beef is very good, they dip the sandwich in a hot au jus sauce. A Chicago dog has mustard, green relish, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a meal on top of the hot dog. My wife usually orders the Chicago dog with no onions or relish. I usually go for the Italian beef or one of their salads or bowls. I usually get something different each time. This visit, I actually went with the Italian Sausage and Beef combo served on a hoagie bun. This was a great combo and even my wife mentioned how the sausage was really good and something she would probably get next time. Service is always really great. Everyone is always nice and friendly. Someone is always cleaning the tables, everyone says hello, they are just really great with their service. Drinks can be refilled, you just need to go to the counter if they do not have their own self service machine. I would definitely recommend this chain. The food is great, service fantastic and a fun vibe inside. ACES!

Music is on, everyone is friendly, and they are very funny calling out your numbers. Such as "Order 252 it's time to meet you" or "Order 365 it's time to shine". It's a fun place and perfect for families not looking to spend a ton of money. The food is pretty much hot dogs and burgers/chicken sandwiches, but they are known for their hot dogs, plain and simple. They also offer other options such as chicken, fish, burgers, salads and bowls and Italian beef. The Italian beef is fantastic, it gets dipped in a hot au jus sauce, but you can also ask for no dip as well. Their bowls are not like a rice bowl, it is their beef or sausage minus the bread. This is what my husband usually orders, and he loves it. I usually go for the Italian beef or the classic Chicago dog. A Chicago dog has mustard, the brightest green relish you have ever seen, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a big dog! This can be customized any way you want it, remove something add something, it is how you want it. This visit I did order the Chicago dog with no relish or onions. It's how I prefer it. My husband ordered something new, he tried the Italian Sausage and Beef combo which was served on a hoagie bun. The sausage was actually really so good! I think I found a new favorite item, I will be getting the sausage next time. The service is really great too, everyone is always friendly. They will give you refills; they call out your number really fun and it's just a great place. They read your order back when you order which I also really like. It is quick service, fast food whatever you want to call it, but they do make it an experience. I would definitely recommend this chain. This is new to Orlando, probably within the last couple years, but it brings a touch of the north down here! I love it! It is loud so kids can be loud. It is not super expensive so its a good meal for the family. There are a lot of items so there should be something for everyone. The only difference is the Portillo's in Chicago also have a huge pasta section which I miss. Their pasta was good! I would love to see it here.

Before my Mom and I went, we checked the closing hours. According to our online search, the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. We weren't far away and confirmed via GPS that we would get there by 9:03pm. As we were arriving, I noticed a worker had started removing the outdoor sidewalk sign back inside the restaurant. I asked the worker if they were closing and was told yes. The owner or manager, I would assume he was, stated we could come in. We drove around the building to a dark parking lot. Once we parked, the owner/manager, who was taking out the trash, questioned where I parked. I had parked behind, probably, his car which was closest to where we had to walk around to the front to enter the restaurant. I told him I quickly parked so we can get in and order. Once we entered the restaurant, we tried ordering. The owner/manager was very inpatient once he realized we were ordering food and not ice cream as he said he thought we wanted. I ordered a Chilli Cheese Dog (no bun). Mom got a Regular Hotdog (with condiments) and Plain Tater Tots. As we waited for our food, at least five people came in for ice cream. Our food was prepared in a reasonable time. We left approximately 9:23pm. Mom was satisfied with her food. My Chilli Cheese Dog was short on the Chilli. There was not a lot of Chilli on the hotdog. I don't plan on returning to this establishment.

So, when I was in Kissimmee I looked and found this one and went. It's about a 15 min ride from the Gaylord in Kissimmee, which is a mile from Disney's main entrance. Service here was great, friendly, and quick. The menu is what I'm familiar with, but all I wanted was a small Italian Beef with spicy giardiniera and a Chicago Dog. Since fries came with it, I wasn't arguing, as they use those crinkle cut fries and they serve them crispy, hot, and tasty! The Italian Beef was incredible, as it usually is! I was in Chicago a few weeks ago and got an Italian Beef from Gold Coast Hot Dogs and it was just ok, I forgot how amazing Portillo's were until getting this one - It Was Great! Very flavorful, tender, and moist meat with a flavorful au jus to dip it into. The giardiniera was fresh, crunchy, and spicy - it made for a great combination with that beef! The bun was so soft and held up to the sandwich and dipping it into the au jus perfectly! Next up was their Chicago dogs - AWESOME! Again, fresh veggies and a great bun.
