Yes, I understand that their's are a bit bigger than many of the other comparable chains, but still... Okay so yes their burgers are good maybe a little bit bigger and better than "in and out" and you can add (free?) toppings but is it really free if it already costs almost twice as much as other burgers? Just had an unbelievable experience at this place! From top to bottom it was great service. What I love about this place is that they really focus on your burger. When you go to somewhere like In-N-Out, it's just not that way. I know a lot of you love In-N-Out to the extreme, and I don't hate it whatsoever, but you can't deny that Five Guys is a better burger. Is it more expensive? Sure, I guess so. But don't you 'get what you pay for'? I love that they have one of those soda machines with dozens of options on it, I like the fries way way WAY better than In-N-Out's fries, even if they're not as good as McDonald's, and again, you're gonna get the juiciest best burger ever! I dealt with a gentleman named Andrew, who was SO kind to me and my twins and made our experience really good. To the point where one of my twins said, "that guy is such a nice guy!" We took a trip to the restroom while awaiting our meal. An employee was using the toilet when I walked in. My son was finished, and it was my turn. So is this an equal comparison? No! Not in my opinion, 5 Guys Burger is a little more on the gourmet side. Fries - As far as fries, Five Guys Burger's Cajun fries are delicious. I ordered a cheese burger, a little cheese burger, regular fries and a chocolate Milkshake. Unfortunately, I regret spending my $32.81 here at Five Guys. I'm so disappointed to find that the quality of food here has gone down, the prices are expensive and my food order was incorrect. My fries were cold and soggy which is so disappointing since we dined in. Our burgers didn't have the "all the way toppings" on them. No mushrooms, no grilled onions and sadly they ran out of the vinegar/malt packets. On top of that, they forgot my milkshake, and when they did make it, it was terrible. Consistency was off, whip cream looked messy, and the taste was not good at all. It was lacking flavor AND it really tasted generic. Hubby & I ordered the small cheeseburgers "all the way", which is mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup and mustard. In addition to drinks & one order of fries. As it was not packed at 7pm, we waited a half an hour for our order, really?! When I took my first bite I knew right away In & Out has the better burger.....as I took my second bite I laughed out loud! Ridiculously priced, too slow of service & for it to taste like a homemade burger & fries were blah-- Ah no, don't let the headlines fool you In & Out is the clear winner in our book & The Habit is a close second.
