It has been a few years since I commented on Five Guys, and I would have to say very little has changed since my previous review. Still love the juicy burger, which I tend to order wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, and the fries that remind me of the pier fries at Old Orchard Beach. If you ask for the cheeseburger as it states on the menu, they still ask to clarify if you want the single or the double. If they lack confidence that people are ordering what they want, perhaps. They should change the word "cheeseburger" for "double cheeseburger." Keep in mind that even a small order of fries is really a large order as they fill he cut and then overflow more into the bag. It is about exceeding expectations, I think. The price has gone up a lot since we started going to Five Guys occasionally, but the quality is unsurpassed and the peanuts while you wait are free.

Came in around 6pm and no line. Great start. Cashier was nice, my food came out quickly. The overall restaurant was clean. Ordered a little fry and had enough for 2 people. The burger was not great. Bread didn't taste fresh.

Ordered on the app. Wanted to get a free-style fountain drink for my meal but that's not an option on the app. Ordered it when I arrived and the fact I had ordered my food already confused the server. Two free-style machines but one was out of Coke Zero. Took 11 minutes for them to prepare my order. They do not labor the burgers with a number which is inconvenient. Ate outside and there were a bunch of peanut shells under the table. I noticed they do curbside pick-up. Food was made correctly and tasted great.

Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.

I like this nearby location in Mount Dora because a) I have the app where I can score points for Rewards (value meal today scored me 99 points!), b) it's easily accessible with a drive-thru and lots of parking, and c) the staff are always friendly. I also appreciate that whenever I visit a Culver's someone is walking around cleaning up. Finally, these days I feel a value meal should land somewhere around the $10 mark - like my meal today did. My cheeseburger was delicious and came with lettuce, tomato, (raw) onion, ketchup, and mayo. Although the cheese was barely melted on the patty, the bun was a touch cold, and the sweet tea was pretty weak, I am still grateful that my food was good, the bun was not stale, and I didn't experience any "rumble tummy" afterwards. There are many fast food options out there - I still see Culver's as a solid choice. And don't even get me started on the sinfully delicious custards - YUM!

Two completely different spaces. I, of course, chose cozy comfy. I'm a sucker for a big comfy couch at a place that has board games and hot food. Not absent, not hovering. So the drinks kept flowing all day long. Speaking of drinks, my girlfriend was pleased with their beer selection. I was pleased that they had a few cans of NA beer/cider. And they were pretty good! The Orlando area is finally catching up with the rest of the world and starting to show up with some good NA options. The Southern burger was great, but I tossed off the raw onions as I absolutely hate them, and added the lovely pickled onions from my wife's salad, which gave the perfect amount of flavor and color. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. Delicate crepe, very soft ripe bananas, sauce was not disgustingly sugary, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and soft, not icy and sweet. There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.

I really wanted to love this place!…read more Myself, my mom and my grandma went here for the mad hatter themed pop up that's happening. When we arrived, there was one table left in the bar side, which had enough for 6 people. We asked if we could just grab that spot and the hostess had to go speak to the manager. She came back and informed us that we could not sit there, but instead in the adjacent restaurant (same menu) or the bar (my grandma is in a wheelchair), or wait but that it might be over an hour. Since we were a group of 3 we asked if we could split that table into 2 so we wouldn't use it all, additionally, we had driven over an hour for the pop up and really wanted to be in the themed area, but they insisted that they had to keep it open for any potential larger party that would come after us. My question is... couldn't that larger party that *might* come sit in the adjacent restaurant? We were after the lunch hour (around 2pm) and I get wanting to keep space, but this has literally never happened to me before anywhere I have been. Eventually, we were able to sit at that table (they didn't split it into 2, but we offered multiple times). No larger group came so there wasn't an issue with that... I mean it did all work out but the vibes were so weird and others should know the potential issues! We only got cocktails, and they were delicious! I loved the theming it was super cute and accurate! I think if I go back I would go alone so I could sit at the bar. There is plenty of parking available!
