I don't understand all the bad reviews?I went there today for lunch with very low expectations because of all the bad reviews and it far exceeded them.the burger was very juicy and tasty and pretty good size.and the cajun fries were not bad either.a lot of people are making a big deal about getting your meal in a bag even if you were eating there but I didn't think is was that big of deal.maybe a little weird but get over it people it's a good burger.I will def be back and the only complaint I had it was a little pricey.beats in and out hands down if you ask me. read more

I'm a sucker for a goood quality burger and Five Guys does the job! The burgers are made with quality beef, made to order and offer free add on's such as grilled onions, mushrooms, bbq sauce, A-1 sauce and much more. Take my advice and ALWAYS order the regular fry unless you're sharing with like 4/5 people. The freshly cut, home made fries are always overflowing and sooooo darn good. First time coming here. I had reservations about eating here because i have celiac disease and, well, it's a burger place. The guy behind the counter explained everything and showed me where they cook the bread different from the meat. He said he would use clean gloves. Then i heard him say to the others not to touch number 11. It's gluten free. Change your gloves before you touch the patties. I'm really impressed! Took my daughter there around 3pm today and we ended up not eating our food and leaving it on the table. The place was filthy and we saw not one, but 2 big roaches right by our table. We told the young lady who was scrubbing off dried food from my chair, and she said she'd tell the manager. The manager never came over or killed the bug. I love Five Guys. I don't eat here as often as I would like just because it is terrible for you health wise but if I want a good greasy meal, these guys win! Recently we came here on a day we were craving really bad (nutrition bad) food. I hadn't had Five Guys in a good while so I was excited! We get the food home and they pretty much screwed up every single part of the order. I like my burger a certain way (no lettuce or tomato) and it came with everything I asked to be removed. That ruined the burger for me. We ordered regular fries and we received what I assume is their "Cajun" fries. They were so loaded with some type of seasoning I could barely eat them. I hated them!! Fast forward to the next day, we both get violently ill with food poisoning. If you have ever had it, you know it is THE WORST! I will never ever ever eat at this Five Guys location again. Yes they come in a bag. That contains the extra fries that spill out of the cup because they give you more than the cup will hold. This is burgers and fries from a guy's point of view. Oh my!!!! Heck yeah! I love this place and have nooo problem shelling out 20.00 for two people to eat here. My boyfriend and I have made 5 guys his birthday tradition. Today was the first time I tried Five Guys Burgers. Walking in we were greeted by friendly employees and the restaurant was clean. What I did not expect was my meal to be so large I could not finish it and it cost me over $12 for the meal. For dinner this is reasonable, but I am usually the kind of person to spend less than 8 on lunch. The smallest fries they offer is enough to feed 3 people, if not 4, I ended up throwing a large amount of them away. I did not think to order the jr. cheeseburger and opted for the regular size, this too was far too large for me to eat. Next time I go, I know to order the jr. burger and split my fries with whomever I am with. All in all though, the food was fresh and tasty. They definitely make a decent burger. read more

I placed an online order for 2 burgers. The only thing they got right was not putting cheese on both. My burger was correct, however my boyfriends burger had tons of mayo, which he does not like, there were no jalapeños, grilled onions or pickles. Absolutely ridiculous. I would think that it would be easier to get an online order correct versus a phone in order since everything is clearly listed. For the price, it's really not worth it. When the fries and drink are the best part of your meal, you know that you picked the wrong place for lunch. With the large drink this was just over $16 meal, in a sack I might add. Underwhelming is an understatement. Apparently, 5 Guys don't have enough time to check out their competition. For $16 I can go almost anywhere for a nice sit down plated Bacon Cheeseburger w/ Fries and drink. Then I'm surrounded by magazine covers of what my meal looks like in an imaginary world. The store gave me a half paper cup of half cooked fries as my "large fries". I could have gone to McDonald's and had better service/food. When I called, the Store Lead, Zach offered numerous excuses and no fix for the problem as I was unable to go all the way back to the restaurant. He basically told me there was nothing he could do. I rarely submit a review, as my spouse is an Yelp Elite Reviewer and she represents the both of us quite well. Occasionally, I am compelled to comment on a particularly good or bad dining experience, in this case, really bad. We visited a new Five Guys this evening and will never return. The hamburger orders took about 15 minutes and were served wrapped in aluminum foil in a brown paper bag (really cuts down on overhead costs when the franchise doesn't use plates, plastic baskets or serving trays). In spite of the overhead savings the hamburgers are priced at the top of the fast food scale and small soft drinks are $2.49. With one shared order of fries our bill was over $20. The fries were fresh cut butgreasy and soggy. The hamburgers, (she had a small, I had the large which turned out to be two of the small patties) were served on small buns that immediately fell apart when we picked them off of the foil wrappers. The meat was over cooked, the condiments fell out onto the table and the entire mess had to be eaten with a plastic fork. We dumped the fries into a "basket" fashioned from the brown paper bag in order to dip ketchup as we ate, who knows how germ free the bag was? In the midst of all this, with customers occupying half of the tables, one of the restaurant staff was sweeping the floor, casting floor dust and grime into the air around the seated customers and their food. Our experience here puts this franchise at the bottom of the many hamburger joints in our area and across the country. If you are considering buying a franchise, stay away from this one, the competition will eventually put Five Guys on the scrap heap of failures unless they make huge changes in their operation. read more

I LOVE Five Guys, just not this location. Both times I've been here we waited at least 30 minutes for food after we placed our order, and both times the food was mediocre at best. Haven't been to a five guys in awhile and after ordering a cheeseburger, fries and a drink and the total comes out to over $18 dollars are you serious. I Just ate at Outback Steakhouse the day before and got a top sirloin steak, salad, baked potato and a tea for $16 dollars. What has happened to five guys. Oh Five Guys! I thought I knew ya! I use to really enjoy Five Guys when I lived in Virginia so today we decided to find it in Hurst. Not only was there no parking, an empty restaurant should have told me something. But I ordered and when it came discovered several items had been left off including jalapeños! One thing I have always enjoyed was their hot fries. Fries tasted like they had been under a warming oven and had the consistency of cardboard. Love love love this burger place! They are a little sloppy but that's the way it should be, right? And the fries are cut from real potatoes with the skin on. And they are not skimpy on the fries either. Order a small to share with someone unless you are really hungry! Customer service is awesome too. The burgers are made when ordered, even when you call the order in but the fries are put down as soon as you pay. So you have to wait about 3 minutes but they are still hot when I get them home, which is about 10 minutes. So is the burger. Oh yeah, if you eat there you get all the peanuts in the shell you want. Everyone raves about this place so we decided finally to try it. Ordered 2 single patty burgers, shared a regular fry, and 2 med drinks and spent almost $25! Are you kidding me? We waited almost 20 minutes (with no order ahead of us) for our order thinking these must be huge burgers and really awesome! Oh no, unwrapped the grease covered foil to find two small burgers with patties so overcooked they were half the size of the bun, about 1/8 inch thick and crumbling. The fries were overcooked and over seasoned and covering the bag in grease. We could have gone to Chili's for Big Mouth Burgers and had enough money left to tip the waitress, with leftovers in a box. Unless you feel like wasting money and tossing soggy stuff in the trash don't bother with 5 Guys....Serious waste of time and money. read more

From the time we ordered, it was a 35 minute wait just to get our burgers. In that amount of time I could have driven to the grocery store and cooked my own. There were only about 5 other people in the whole restaurant too. My coworkers and I were so baffled as to how on earth it is even physically possible to cook a burger that slow. This was my first five guys experience and will certainly be my last. Awful service, mediocre burger with fries drowned in seasoning. I'd much rather pay a premium for twisted root and would even choose whataburger over this place.
