In 2016, I saw Derick Mendelson swallow an entire Junior Cheeseburger without chewing here when we were in college. Sitting right at the hightop next to the pole. We all sat at the tall chairs with the red back on them while he stood up in front of us and turned the place into a damn circus act. He didn't chew even once and we all legitimately thought he was gonna die. His girlfriend was crying because she actually thought he was going to die. The manager at the time, no idea who he was, came around the counter and was berating Derick. He kept telling him to spit it out but Derick anaconda'd the entire thing. It looked so painful. "YOU GOTTA SPIT IT OUT!" the manager yelled at him. His eyes were filled with tears and his entire face was purple but I swear to God that he did it. I thought he was legit gonna die. He said his throat was sore for like two weeks after. Derick and his husband live in the Bay Area now and I think he works for like Google, which is hilarious because he was so stupid in high school. College turned him into a tech wiz or something, honestly I'm not sure exactly what his job is. But he was a legend. "Derickburger" was his nickname for the next few years of college lol. Five guys does not tend to get the love it deserves. On this occasion I got a double bacon cheeseburger because who doesn't love more beef and bacon on their burger. What I love about five guys is that you can really throw a bunch of toppings on your creation and the workers here did not skimp. The burger was made fresh to go and the staff was very friendly. Probably the best "fast food" burger I have had in the area. Got a ton of fries on the side. Picked up shortly before closing so the place was empty but it had seating and looked clean. Five guys is open for takeout only due to COVID. 5 guys is my favorite hamburger chain. It's without a doubt the best tasting, best quality "fast food", made fresh to order every time. I usually get a "little" burger, but you can get a larger size patty and can double or bacon it up how ever you want. You can also add things like mushrooms or halepeno without any additional charge. The fries are awesome, You can also get a hot dog or a vegetable sandwich too. They have a coke soda machine that has every flavor coke you can get. Orange vanilla is my favorite. You can sanitize your hands right as you exit so your good to go. BUYERS BEWARE!! Ordered door dash from this location and the order was tampered with. Sticker was damaged, corner of the bag was opened, internal and external bags have tears indicative of tampering. Door dash will do nothing about this issue because the dasher left before the order was recieved. Order was set to handed off to myself and it was left on the steps. Dasher did not follow requirements of delivery and tampered with my food. By the looks of the ordered the delivery driver of door dash stuck their dirty fingers in my food and ate half the fries in the bag read more

Five Guys is kind of a go to place for me because I am on a low carb diet, and I like to order them with no bun. Generally I really like all of them. The issue I had here is that I ordered one with all the usual toppings, grilled jalapeños, and hot sauce. They did not include the grilled onions that are supposed to be included in "all the way" burgers. I had to ask for the mayonnaise (that should have been included). They also failed to include the grilled jalapeños and hot sauce. The receipt indicated that I ordered these things but the burger was incorrect. The bottom line is five guys is always a good place for a quick meal if you are on a low carb diet. Great burgers every single time. I like jalapeños on my little bacon cheeseburger. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is that the cashier charged us for an extra bacon cheeseburger that we did not order. We only noticed when we got home and there was one extra burger. Usually five guys is a bit pricey so we didn't even realize the price for everything. All in all we'll be back, but we'll be more thorough and go over our order. What I love about Five Guys is that you have no choice but to get Well Done burger. You cannot choose how you want your burger cooked. That is completely fine with me, I love my burgers well done anyways. Its just peace of mind knowing all the stuff that can hurt me is burned to crisp. ;) aka e. coli. I am all about burgers at In- N- Out, so when I moved to NJ -- bye-bye to 30+years of my In-N-Out- Double Double Animal Style--- Five Guys is a block from my house....now Suffice to say Five Guys is not new as far as a burger place restaurant, they are an East Coast kinda joint, but they are a good burger. Line is never really out the building on summer nights since the do not have outdoor seating-, but the service does not suffer it is smiles, great attitude and they are on the ball! However I have to say it is not a cheap burger, Maybe cuz you have the choice of 1 or two patties- I go for 1- the 2 patty never ever every stays together in any form of ease to eat, it all falls apart, which is fine but I like my burgers to hold together for at least the 3rd bite, maybe I should ease up on the fixins..... ya right! So remember when you order a double patty is the normal burger- the single is the way to go. I love the cajun fries with the vinegar to dip in. I have to share the large fries it is a really large portion and even with the hubby - it is a lot of fries. Inside is small, a little loud- but its happy people having a good burger- over kinda loud music, but again AWESOME music! Ill include a mini review for this specific location as well as a general review for Five Guys as a whole that I'll be copying and pasting to multiple locations. General review- I honestly don't see what all the hype about Five Guys is. I consider them to be of similar quality to Wendy's. I like Wendy's don't get me wrong, but I would not call them the best burger I've ever had. In addition to being overrated, I find their cheese to be very artificial. It's like plastic. I give them kudos for not charging for extra cheese, but the cheese is def not real cheese . It is a cheese product in my opinion. I also don't understand how their burgers are well done. I usually order my burgers at places medium, bc I hate burnt burgers, but I have no problem with five guys burgers being burnt(which is how i equate the word well done to). Overall, I consider Five Guys to be highly overrated, and don't see the hype. Smashburger Cheeburger Cheeburger, and many other ''joints'' are better. My personal favorite is Cheeburger Cheeburger. As far as the localized review, I'd say the quality at this Five guys is equal or better compared with the others I've tried. The service wasn't as friendly, but it could have been an off day. I have not tried their new shakes, but they don't look like they would tast any better than mcds lol. This is our go to Five Guys.. Always the same great burgers and fries. Always happy looking staff behind the counter. Well tonight I got my food to go. Guess who screwed up and got the wrong order? Expensive fast-food burgers that are slightly greasy. Sometimes a greasy burger is what you want/need, but not for that price point. If I want a greasy burger, I'll head to White Castle. But if I want a really good burger for the same price as Five Guys, I'll head to Tommy's Tavern in Freehold. While nothing really all that exciting, Five Guys is nonetheless a place that I don't mind going to, whenever friends are looking for a quick bite. That said, it's not exactly my first choice for a burger place, either. The burgers here are a step above the typical fast food variety, and there's a huge menu of toppings that you can mix and match for your burger -- a huge plus. Double cheeseburger with A1 sauce, sauteed onions, and mushrooms? Yes, please. Still, there's nothing quite "gourmet" about it. The burgers are fairly greasy, are cooked on a griddle - not over a flame grill, and are wrapped in foil. The french fries are pretty great here, and are of the "boardwalk" style. Malt vinegar is available if you like to drench your fries, making them more akin to British "chips". If you're ordering a side of fries for yourself, make note to order the smaller size, since they fill the cup and then put an EXTRA scoop into the bag. Pretty good value. All in all, not bad.. but if you're looking for a more quality hamburger and less of a "fast food style" burger, there's better places around. Burger 25 down the road on route 70 is about the same price, and is more of an actual hamburger. It's been years since I've eaten one of their large burgers, but I finally changed all that recently. Yep, I wasn't playing around and went right for the bacon cheeseburger, which in their world of red and white tile really means a "double" bacon cheeseburger with two decent size patties. Fries and a drink? Both please! While waiting, I helped myself to some shelled salted peanuts and a cherry vanilla Coke. The owner of this location is extremely generous with their fundraiser events as my music group at my high school raised a ton of procedes. They are professional on all levels. Fries are insanely addictive and come in mass quantities. My mother and I split a small and it was more than enough. Their small fry puts the retired McDonald's Super-Sized fries to shame. Soda machine was like nothing I've ever seen. It too operated like the food counter. Add in any flavor for no extra cost (cherry, vanill,a etc.). 2 burgers (two patties each), 1 small fry, and two drinks ran us about $20+, but it was worth it. Definitely want to go back! read more

Ahh Labor Day Family-style burgers available 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm--excellent! Patties are handmade and served on your typical burger bun. Ordered my burger stack with tomatoes and lettuce. Pretty basic, but the tomatoes were not quite ripe. The fries were pretty damn good, but did get a couple of undercooked ones. Oh and total props for having Cherry Coke--Coca Cola's most under appreciated soda type. Place was mostly clean. Some people are just so freakin messy you know! But the kid behind the counter, the one with the nose pierce, pretty on top of his game. When people were not at the register, he was sweepin and cleanin away. He even sorted the condiment trays and made sure the right condiments were in the right compartment. Totally awesome imo. Give this kid a raise! The chick behind the counter was meh. She could have used a hair tie as her bun was falling down and strands of hair flying everywhere. Luckily she was not the one who made my stuffs. Cooks were total boss. Ok so being from Cali, we're all about the In-n-Out Burgers. But when my boyfriend took me here for dinner, I was blown away. Yeah, sorry In-n-Out but Five Guys is supremely better! The build your own burger aspect is wonderful and I got my burger with grilled mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato! Yum yum yum! It was juicy and the buns were warm and soft. My boyfriend had grilled onions and pickles on his. We split an order of fries which technically can feed 2 people they are that big. Fries were total yum! Melts in your mouth! The place was well kept, clean, and the condiment area was well stocked. I like the fact we can grab peanuts while we wait. And the cute "We love you Five Guys" kids drawings displayed by the pick-up window jazzed the place up. Ok so why didn't I give this place a 5. 1 major reason. The workers are not very happy. No smiles, no thank yous, and certainly no patience for general questions. One of the guests in front of us asked how big were the fries. The girl responded by rolling her eyes and said: "Big ok." When it was our turn, she had a scowl on her face and was clearly put off by the previous guests whose only offense was to ask a simple question. Yeah, not my idea of customer service. Burgers are good, fries REALLY good, however, the one bad thing is Lou the manager. She is mean, not understanding, and has 2 of her own children (teenagers) on as managers when there are older, better equipped people who could fill those positions! I would'nt suggest working here as there are better work environments, you'll get your hours cut down to almost nothing (if you aren't fired) because they are getting their butt kicked by Sonic, but if your looking for a good burger, I'd give 'em a try. read more
