Five Guys had to be a joke. Last visit was several years ago at a different location and, while I liked the food it wasn't anything special. Returned today as part of a cycle -- in-n-out, five guys, whataburger, shake shack, etc. $22 and change (they ask for tips to do a McDonald's job) for a bacon double and fries. There's full service restaurants with FAR superior burgers for less money. Had to eat myself half full on fries to even be able to reach my burger. I got a "little" side of fries and they buried my burger so far underneath about a whole pound of fries that I'd have to rip the bag or eat a whole "normal" side of fries to even get to the entree. The fries were great. Go Cajun -- it's not spicy but, is the only craveable part of the experience. The burger.. good. Mayo, lettuce, pickles, mushrooms, jalapeños -- had all my favorite toppings. But for a $13 a la carte burger the bread was Mrs. Bairds trash, the meat seemed like basic 1/4 patties, and the whole thing fell apart like a drunk date. Tasted good but for the price and expectation, I can't believe I didn't choose in-n-out or even whataburger over this overpriced trash. I better have a good chance of shitting gold tomorrow, otherwise I will forever decry and abstain from five guys. Garbage waste of money. No wonder the place was empty. As a reminder -- $13 for a bacon double and $5 (the smallest order) worth of fries that fill up a whole to go bag. Stopped in for lunch with the hubby after reading and watching videos on how great Five Guys burger in a bowl is... maybe it's just this location, but we left disappointed, and underwhelmed. We waited 19 minutes for our food, and when we finally got our food, the burger itself wasn't even hot enough to cause the cheese slice to melt, not even slightly. The burgers were both cold, one was made incorrectly, and we ordered large fries and got the smaller size in our order. It's been over a year since I've been to five guys, and I'm happy to say that returning to their double meat double cheese burger was a sweet reunion. It's hard to imagine anyone reading this review having never visited five guys, but in case that's true this is a counter service burger place in which the standard is the double cheeseburger. If you want one patty you have to order the small burger. They default the toppings and condiments to a combination called "the works" that includes grilled onions and mushrooms. They also offer unlimited free salted peanuts, a nice touch. Who doesn't like "unlimited" and "free" when it comes to food? My typical order is the cheeseburger with the works minus catchup and mustard. I'm not crazy about french fries, they seem like the ultimate filler food, like plain Lays potato chips, although I do have a soft spot for sweet potato fries. Otherwise, unless they're covered in cheese chives and sour cream, I don't typically order them unless I'm really, really hungry and have something fun to dip them in. If you are fries fan five guys has a solid offering, but nothing too special. It's really about the giant wad of beef they serve, which is one tasty burger. It's flavorful and just the right amount of messy for me. This particular location was as good as any five guys I've visited, fast service and an enjoyable fast food experience. This is one of those instances when a chain just really didn't "cut the mustard" for me! This is one of those instances. My teenage son talked me into Five Guys and quite honestly it was just ok. There was no wait so we ordered and got our food pretty quickly. I like that you can pick and choose your ingredients! The fries are ok and seem hand cut but nothing to really write home about. The burger was cooked fine but the bun gets too soggy quickly and really just ok. For the price they aren't bad. I used to frequent FG often but it's always been overpriced in my opinion and there was much better burgers around so when my dad suggested we come here for lunch I wasn't to excited. I split a cheeseburger with my mom along with some cajun fries. Our burger had cheese, mayo, pickles, lettuce and mushrooms. The burger was delicious, it was hot, cheesy, so good and the mushrooms were perfect. I kinda wished I would have gotten my own after eating it. Super good hamburgers but don't stray from their specialty. I thought I'd try something different tonight so I ordered a BLT. Absolutely without a doubt the WORST BLT I have ever had. I mean...how do you go wrong with a BLT, right? Wrong. The bacon was ice cold and hard as a rock - obviously cooked sometime in the distant past. It was horribly nasty. Very disappointed. I used to eat at this location all the time and never had a single issue. I ordered delivery from them and the food came in a sealed bag. They changed how many fries you get. You used to always get an extra scoop of fries when you ordered fries. If I have to pay $7.00 for fries on Uber Eats I expect to get a lot of fries. When I opened the completely sealed and stapled bag, there were barely enough fries to fill the cup and no extra fries anywhere to be found. If you want a good burger, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is very friendly. The manager takes orders, cooks, and walks around saying hi to everyone in the restaurant. He is a really nice guy. The burgers are the bomb. Gotta add that bacon (for the haters). Some jalapenos. Some cheddar. BAM! They don't mess around with the fries either. Finally made it to Five Guys to check out the hype. The regular burgers are pretty huge with double patties and the unlimited free toppings add to the size of the burger. The little burger is comparable to most fast food burgers. My burger's bun was cold, I prefer a nicely toasted bun or at least room temperature. The burger itself was okay, the beef patties were average. The Cajun fries were pretty good but I think the Cajun seasoning enhanced the flavor of the potatoes. I love a good burger as much as anyone and I keep giving them chances, but I'm just not impressed with with I get at Five Guys. The burgers are sloppy and never seem to be seasoned. I've lowered my rating from a 5 to a 3 solely because of the lack of cleanliness during my last visit a couple of weeks ago. Every single table was littered with trash from the previous customers. There were only about five tables of people there. The staff was not busy and no one was in line. We stayed 20 minutes and not one table was bussed while there. There is a definite management issue.
