I'm more of a fish and chicken kind of guy, but every now and then I crave an epic burger and that's when I stop at five guys!! My first five guys burger was at Howard university next to this little Urban clothing store back in the day when I was young... so around 2002. I have fond memories of that time and I always know I can get a great burger and homemade French fries every time. I can trust everyone with my once a quarter burger experience!! This location is in Woodbridge in a shopping center between Target and shoppers. I was just in the area and famished so I grabbed a bite to eat. Everything was delicious and spot on! Staff is great and friendly!! I had ordered through Uber eats delivery and the driver unfortunately forgot my milkshake. I called the store to see if it was still there and I could go and pick it up. I wish I could remember the name of the gal at the door! We were doing errands and going to pick up pizza for grandkids but we're not pizza fans, hubby suggested 5 guys! So I tried using the app, but we were at the place before I got the through one burger on app!! So he dropped me off and went with grands to get pizza up the road. I knocked on window and the young lady at the door was VERY helpful in explaining the new ordering procedure. I work midnight to 8am so I'm a bit out of the "loop." She took my order, was helpful, suggestive, instructive and a real pleasure in these trying times. A real bubbly gem of a person! While I was waiting for my order 3 other people showed up, yes we were practicing "safe distancing." When she came back with #3's order as they used the app, MY order was also ready!! WHO-HOO!!! We don't eat out much because of the preservatives & chemicals used in most commercial kitchens. 5 guys is plain & simple, basic and you can (usually) watch your food being made! We'll save up and pay the extra instead of going to those nasty fast food places. read more

Every Five Guys that I've been to is the same. Red and white interior, a couple of tables, free peanuts, bored teenager working the register and bomb ass food. This location wasn't any different. Although a little small on the inside, we managed to grab a table in the back after placing our order of a little hamburger with mayo, tomato and lettuce, cheeseburger with lettuce, mayo, grilled onions and jalapenos (extra shoutout for always serving fresh jalapenos instead of pickled) and a side order of Cajun fries. The food took a bit to come out but it was as fresh as it could be. The fries could've been a little better. I've had way better fries from here before so I can only say they were having an off day. Bottom line: Skip Mcdonalds and come here next time you're craving a hamburger. read more

Five Guys has always been my 'go to' burger place. I usually go to the location in front of Home Depot and LOVE the food and service I get there! Always excellent! I decided to give this location a try and found it to be lacking all around. Some of the wrong things: 1 - one of soda machines out of ice 2 - ketchup dispenser empty 3 - all tables dirty - had to clean our own 4 - wife's burger missing lettuce and mushrooms 5 - my burger missing grilled onions, mustard AND ketchup 6 - both burgers meat were med rare 7 - fries were cold and undercooked Probably won't come back to this location and stick to my regular dependable place. read more

I had a hamburger with grilled mushrooms, onions, ketchup, tomato, pickle, lettuce. I found the flavor to be good. The grind of the hamburger was a bit too coarse for my preference. I liked that you can add extra toppings. The bun could have been more sturdy in my opinion. It was pretty deflated. My husband and I were upset when we saw that the Five Guys on Route 1 (the other one in Dumfries) was closed. But I'm kind of happy that it was or else I would have never discovered this location. We think that this is the best Five Guys in the DMV area hands down. Food was delicious and fresh and service was great! They even have a milkshake menu which blew my mind! Surprisingly, the milkshake was probably one of the better milkshakes I've had as well (we got an Oreo milkshake). I'll only be coming to this location from now on. Really good fast food burgers. We got a cheeseburger with everything. The two beef patties were thick, greasy, and juicy... it definitely hit the spot. I still prefer In-N-Out to Five Guys, but they're not far behind. The fries at Five Guys are far superior to any fast food chain. They're thick and perfectly seasoned. I'm not a big fan of peanuts, but they have boxes where you can scoop out some to snack on while you wait for your order. Service was fairly fast and very friendly. read more

I love Five Guys! Although sometimes you have to wait quite awhile, the food is always worth it... and they give your peanuts to much on while you wait! Yummy! Most Five Guys also allow you to call your order in ahead of time so you can skip the long wait. This five guys was packed, but the food was served rather quickly. We sat down at a table and enjoyed our lunch. There was a staff member keeping the seating areas cleaned and the place itself was clean overall. The have free refills on drinks if you eat-in too! I'll definitely be back here again! NOTE: Do not eat here, or even enter this place, if you have a peanut allergy! As somewhat of a Five Guys connoisseur, I feel qualified to write this review. The good: I have eaten at Five Guys hundreds of times, so I know what to expect when it comes to their burgers -- this meal was on par with the best of them! Fresh beef cooked to perfection, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and the right amount of char on the bacon. The fries had an ample amount of Cajun seasoning on them (an absolute must). Perhaps the most surprising thing about this particular location was the bathroom (needed to wash off that Cajun seasoning!) -- it was absolutely spotless. I've never seen a cleaner bathroom at a Five Guy. Period. The bad: When did their prices get so high? Perhaps this franchise is the exception, but I've never paid that much for a Bacon Cheeseburger at Five Guys before. Four out of five for the excellent meal. read more

I've been a huge fan of Five Guys way back to their roots on King Street near Fairlington in Alexandria. This particular location is near my house and has done a good job through the years. I'm also a fan of their App, and have been using that since it came out. Today I again used the App and upon arriving saw that they were keeping patrons outside (wisely). There were about 6 of us. Having had a bad experience recently at another chain with Web Ordering I prepared myself for a long wait. In just a matter of minutes to my joining the safe distance line an employee came out with three separate orders and mine was one of them. The fries and burger were hot and tasty as always. This is not a 5 star fast food joint. Please, do not be confused. THIS is a 5 star Five Guys! Personally, I would never trust my restaurant to a bunch of knucklehead kids. However, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. As reviewed by others, the restaurant is immaculate. The staff was very professional. Everything you'd hope for, from Five Guys! Maybe it was payday, these guys had just received a raise, or they simply love Five Guys burgers as much as we do. Either way, those guys were great. Definitely not, a bunch of knucklehead kids. Hamburgers and fries are usually good, but the last two times the hamburgers were dried out like they were pre-cooked. I have a few suggestions: it would be so much better if the onions were sliced thin instead chopped and it would be great if you could order a smaller size fries. Sometimes we just want a smaller size order of fries. Plus, it is way too cold in there sometimes. The staff are all really nice. The Manager does seem to get irritated though if you ask him to turn the air or radio down. Sometimes the radio is just way too loud. read more

This Five Guys is a hidden gem! You can go there at the peak of lunch on a work day and there will be no wait... Try that at any other Five Guys in the area!!! The burgers are the legendary greasy juicy delight and the dogs are pretty damn tasty as well. I love the peanuts as well and always try and sneak a half bag of them too. The food here is great and so is the staff! When the Southbridge location closed we started going to the Montclair 5 Guys. Of course the burgers & fries are wonderful, but so are the milkshakes served at this location. What makes this 5 Guys the best is the fantastic staff they have here.
