Little Hamburger with everything plus added green pepper
    Joyce A.

Convenient and busy location. Straightforward menu of burgers and fries plus hot dogs! I always vacillate when it comes to choosing and end up getting a burger anyway. The little burger combo with a little side of fries is a lot of food. My mom and I usually split one but she devoured her little cheeseburger all on her own. She had all the condiments without onions. I got a little hamburger "all the way" but forgot they use a lot of ketchup. The fries are nicely done and is really enough to share, I asked for less salt on it. However, the crew left out the shake and I had to ask for it. Then, sadly I was disappointed by the flavor of the strawberry shake, it seemed to taste so medicinal to soapy, although there was a lot of chopped fruit in it; It might have been exposed or contaminated by whatever cleaning solution used on the prep surfaces. Overall clean interior but bathrooms needed to be cleaned up better or more frequently. Friendly and patient lady at the cash register. Plus free peanut in shell at the entrance.

    Grimy everywhere you look.

Dirty, grimiest Five Guys I've been to. Hope management takes notice and does something. Bathrooms are gross too.

    $15 Cheeseburger
    Brian C.

A $15 cheeseburger. No fries or drink. They didn't even get the order right. They forgot the tomatoes. I think the thing that's more disturbing is the burger was bland. It didn't have any flavor. A Big Mac at McDonalds is way better.

That's my Hamburger a sad burger really

Usually food is great here but today I picked up my order and my burger was not what I expected I ordered a lettuce wrap hamburger and almost no lettuce not enough of the ingredients as well and I ordered bbq inside and there was no taste of bbq whatsoever well I guess next time will be better

    Bacon cheese burger protein style
    James M.

This was nice break from the normal frantic search of a protein sandwich while on keto! The protein option was the best! Their quality of meat and ingredients was top notch. It was a flavorful burger and that's what I was really looking for. Thanks Five Guys! Another satisfied customer.

This burger was damn near $14 and its unseasoned. No flavor and its dry

Mid. Too expensive . Go to in n out . Peanuts tasted better than the burger. Maybe cheese would help but that's a whole other dollar

I had the House Dog and it was like getting one off a Street Vender in LA. Major compliment by he way. I got mine on a Brioche Bun which took it to a whole new level. Best Dog I ever had. The Garlic Fries hit hard too. I should have asked about the sauce that came with it but it had the consistency of Comeback Sauce but smoother and a pleasing bite of Roasted Garlic. I would eat it on a Shoe. The Cashier who's name is Kenya was very knowledgeable and told me straight up that everything was good but if I like a good Street style Dog than the House Dog was the way to go. The Brioche Bun just took it to another level. The Cook who's name is Carlitos made another batch of those Garlic fries that I had to have. OMG. He didn't speak much English and my Spanish is limited but over this food we had a whole conversation in Engspanglish. Lol. I'm looking for him when I go back. I'm always looking to Hire people like these two. Hey both just capped off my visit. I live in Orange County and I'm plotting a work trip to Downy very soon. I want to give a special thank you to them for making my usual Lunch exciting and pleasing. I would say I'm going I try the Elote Dog next time but what I ordered today ain't broke. Lol. I'll be back very soon. Y'allhollatchaboy!

Not only do they have many unique glizzies, but they also offer burgers. I've tried the following: - House Dog, which is their classic glizzy that comes with grilled veggies, house spread, mayo, mustard ketchup, and bacon bits. - Dirty Chili Dog, which comes with 100% premium all beef Nathan's 5/1 dog wrapped in center-cut bacon, chorizo chili, cheddar sauce, onion, cilantro, chipotle aioli, and bacon bits. - Elote Dog, which also comes with Nathan's 5/1 dog wrapped in center-cut bacon, corn, lime mayo, cotija cheese, chili powder, cilantro, and bacon bits. -Dirty Fries, which comes with chili-lime seasoning served with spicy ketchup. - Dirty Esquite, which is their version of the traditional Mexican street corn (elote). This side dish has lime mayo, cotija cheese, chili powder, cilantro, and bacon bits. - Single (burger), which has a single patty, American cheese, and caramelized onions on a brioche bun. I really like all of their street corn items: the Dirty Esquite and the Elote Dog. The House Dog and Dirty Chili Dog are your classic flavors, and you can't go wrong with either. Next time I want to try the LA Cheesesteak Dog and the DUI Dog, which in addition to the usual Nathan's 5/1 dog, center-cut bacon, bacon bits, it also comes with pastrami, carne asada, cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli, and cilantro.

During COVID we ordered Portillo's on delivery, it was not great. I remember my Italian Beef tasting like old beef. I remember throwing it away. But, it was COVID times, we couldn't expect greatness from anything back then. 2026! The time has arrived, my husband wanted to dine in. He said "forget your COVID memories, it's gonna be great! It's gonna be way better fresh than on delivery!" It wasn't. I had the Italian Beef, added the peppers (so stupid you have to pay more for them), he got the "Jumbo" Hot Dog, which is literally the size of any normal hot dog you would get anywhere. I had the meal which came with fries and a drink, we also ordered onion rings and a Chocolate Cake Shake. Didn't take long for our food to come out. They have a huge sign that says "CONDIMENTS HERE" so we went to see what they had - ketchup. Yes, just ketchup. His hot dog was a hot dog, I didn't think it was anything special, but he liked it. The beef still tasted old to me, I guess that's just the taste of it, and i'm just not a fan. If it weren't for the flavor of the peppers, I would have hated this again. The fries and onion rings were pretty good. The shake was fine but didn't blow my mind. We got a small and ended up throwing half of it away. Doubt i'll be back, but if I am for some reason, i'll probably just get onion rings and try their chili.

This place is always recommended to me on Yelp anytime I try to find places to eat in Little Tokyo…read moreand technically it's in the Arts District, but it's within walking distance. I've had my brother and several friends say that it's good and since we were closer to this area for a pop up event, we dropped by and I finally had a chance to try it. We visited during the final game of the World Cup, so there was no more indoor dining, but there's a couple bench tables outside at the side of the building. Part of the building shades over the seating, so even on a pretty hot day, this worked in a pinch and there was a slight breeze too, thank goodness. Staff was helpful and and answered our questions. They also brought our order out to the tables outside, which was nice. They also took our trash and tray back when we were done too. Each table has ketchup, brown and spicy mustard if need be. Inside, you order and pay at the cashier, grab a number, and they bring it to you. There's a bunch of sausage links on display, as well as the sodas and you can see some of the beer that they have too. For our Sunday lunch, we got the: 1) Sunset Zero soda: -It's an imported German soda. Love that there's a zero sugar version. It's a citrus cola with ending vanilla notes. Way better than some of the orange Pepsi/Pepsi Fire they ran in the past. Nice to try. 2) Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeno Peppers: -Unique combination of predator and prey meats all encased into one sausage. Also, not often you can get these meats as well. -Slight spicy kick to it from the jalapenos and rich, buttery texture of the meats together. -Each hot dog comes with 2 toppings and we got caramelized onions and sauerkraut with this which added a nice sour and sweet taste to it too. -I liked this the most of the 2 of them. 3) Pheasant with Herbs de Provence: -Nice savory flavor, but I was a fool and ordered this with the sweet and spicy peppers as a topping since they were different from the other toppings we got and I mostly just tasted the bitter aftertaste of the peppers that sort of overpowered the meats. My mistake if anything since the bites with just meat and mustard were delicious. 4) Groot of Belgian Fries: -Huge serving, way too much for 2 people especially with 2 hot dogs and we sadly could not finish it, but at the very least it came with 2 dipping sauces. -Before ordering this, I didn't groot referred to anything other than a Marvel character. -Fries had a rich, deeper flavor than standard fries, nice slight crispiness. We got it with curry ketchup and sundried tomato mayo. The tomato mayo was fine, definitely a lighter flavor and since the fries tasted so rich on their own, I feel like the curry ketchup was a more flavorful and better match. I love a good hot dog, so being able to try it with more exotic meats, flavors, and sauces makes it definitely worth stopping by.

The space has a dark, industrial vibe, and I loved seeing the sausage display when you walk in. We shared the duck & bacon, mango jalapeño, rattlesnake & rabbit, and the Klein. The duck & bacon was easily our favorite. It was juicy and packed with flavor. The mango jalapeño had a nice balance of sweet and savory but I wish it had more heat. The rattlesnake & rabbit was interesting but could've used a little more salt. I also loved the toasted buns, sauerkraut, and caramelized onions. The fries were fluffy inside but I wish they were a little crispier. I also loved their beer selection and they let us sample a few before ordering. If you go definitely get the Kasteel Tropicale!! It was my favorite beer of the night! The service was great and the cashiers gave us awesome recommendations. Overall, I'd definitely come back. It's a fun spot to grab beers and sausages with friends!

The Staff are Friendly and very nice... that's a Huge Plus. However, the location may put some off…read morefrom venturing to the place; I came during the day with my wife and mother-in-law, and it was OK. But at night, I'm not so sure I'd take my wife or mother-in-law there; it may be fine, but I don't want to find out. BTW - Dirty Vegas - Days Gone By (some of you will get it) Anywho, moving on. We ordered the following; 1 Chicken Sandwich 2 Chili dogs with cheese 1 Chili fry 1 Soda for a total of $38.51 (cash) My first mistake; not taking a photo of the current 'Menu' board; it is different from what's shown here; it has been updated. However, there is a 'Grilled Chicken Sandwich' on the menu board that is not offered... instead, they offer a tiny fried (breaded) and processed chicken disk-shaped patty; a 'sandwich' honestly, not worth buying... stick to the chili burgers or chili dogs. My honest opinion on this chicken sandwich is this, it should just be removed altogether from the menu -- it is of no real value to customers as it is, and it lowers the quality of menu items being offered. The Chili, however, is their selling point -- stick to that, and they'll do well. Chili dogs are good; a decent, long, slightly snappy dog on a regular small bun, but lightly smothered with a decent portion of chili; not too messy and easy to eat - not a 'Great Value' but an OK value for today's pricing. The Chili Fries were also good; not great but good. The portion if generous but the fries quickly turned soft before I could plow into them. I do like some crispy fries with my Chili. However, while soggy, the flavor was good. I can't make a recommendation on this until I try another batch of chili fries from Chroni's. If, however, the fries remain soaked, soft & soggy, I'd then pass on ordering Chili Fries but just go straight to ordering regular fries with a side order of Chili -- I hate soft soggy fries that much. As for the soda; a large is an OK size. However, I cannot say if they offer a refill; I didn't go back to ask for one. But I'd hope a refill is available for the price... it'd be a shame if they didn't offer a refill. Pastrami: I got to taste a sample of the Pastrami, and it is really good. Here is where Chroni's could kick it up a notch; Chroni's does not have Bacon - Huge Disappointment and Missed Opportunity, I feel. With the Pastrami they do offer, IF made available; with Bacon, they could add one more menu Item that I know for a fact would sell: The Monster Burger - it is simply this: Bacon Cheeseburger with Pastrami, Chili, Onions & Pickles, and mustard. If they'd add this one to their menu, I'd be back for sure. Just saying; something for Chroni's to think about. Get rid of the chicken, add the bacon. Seating: Oh, yeah; seating; Lots of outdoor seating... we were there on a Sunday and there were plenty of open tables. Parking: Lots of Parking too... for most parts or time, parking should not be an issue as I had thought it would be. I nearly parked 3 blocks away in anticipation of the lot being full; that was because I had not been there before, and the parking on the street was loaded; not knowing Chroni's had its own parking, I feared the worst. But as we got there, I was amazed to see, they had plenty of open parking space. Restrooms: I cannot say anything about the restrooms; I didn't need to go nor looked to see how they were kept. My take-away for Chroni's is this; it is a throw-back to an early time when Snack Shack foods were a regular thing in L.A.; a nostalgic place with Lots of Promise and Potential, but where Pricing is a sign of the modern times; a bit high for Chroni's to be a regular place, but it is what it is. However, the staff are really friendly, nice & polite. My hope for Chroni's would be to focus on promotions & higher sales volume with an emphasis toward lowering prices as demand begins to grow once again. By minimizing the menus and just focusing on turning Chroni's back into High Quality Chili & Chili Burger Shack -- this would definitely help increase sales once prices come down a bit. And if done right, there will still be lots of opportunity to turn a nice profit. 5 Stars for Friendly & Nice Service 2 Stars on the Chicken & Soft/Soggy Fries 4 Stars for Seating 4 Stars for Parking 3 Stars for Cleanliness/Outdoor Dining/Restrooms (???) and bus bench/streetside characters. And, 5 Stars for Potential Overall - 3.5 Stars for now.
