    The Little Cheeseburger
    Carrie Neal W.

Well, sometimes I like being wrong! See, I have not considered myself a fan of 5 Guys since my first and second visits to the one in Atlanta, on Roswell Rd. Greasy fries, just-ok burger (can't quite remember what I put in the review, but I didn't love, for sure)...but I have seen the one in downtown Chattanooga on umpteen occasions when strolling by, en route to work, whatever, and finally had both the good-timing-opportunity and the burger-craving to give them a try. The little cheeseburger (just under $5) was just the right size for me; most servings are way too big so a smaller/kids option is great for me so I will eat it all (I don't tend to "take home" fast food especially...). The burger was solid. Ketchup, mustard, lettuce and (really fresh) tomato, plus cheese - well-seasoned and just what I wanted. The little fries ($2 and change) were really enough for two to split unless you're starving or hungover, and totally tasty; I didn't need to add salt and pepper, even, which is rare for me. Good lunch, not too pricey (healthy lunch options like a turkey sammy at Panera come close to $10 without a drink so for about $7, a burger now and then is a-ok) . . . glad to know that my now-local 5 Guys is not greasy, quickly served and tasty. I shall return, gladly!

The usual burgers and fries experience. You get a Knouff fries then you would eat. Our regular order was shared between three people. The flavor is consistent no matter what location I go to. We went to the discovery children's museum and walked a couple of blocks over to get to this location. Easy & convenient.

One thing I can say about them for sure, consistent. Always the same good quality burgers. Employees are friendly and the place is well organized and clean. I will say that I'm not a huge fan of the fries. To me, so much potential lost due to the oil. But, they are still good fries. Just not excellent. They do have the cut for it though. Come judge for yourself!

Believe it or not--I didn't even get to eat here. We were going to tour the Tennessee River on the Duck Boat and just stopped in to ask for directions. The lovely counter girl told us where we needed to go and while I was thanking her we decided we needed a coke. These people were so friendly and kind that I just wanted to post a "Good Neighbors" review! When we return to Chattanooga we will stop in for lunch.

One of my favorite lunch spots!

Fantastic place for an inexpensive lunch. The fries are the bomb and its the best "fast food" burger in town!

I'f your trainer blesses you with the opportunity to enjoy a burger before the competition, this is the place to be!!! The burgers were so good and the single serving of fries was huge! We enjoyed this place so much that we decided to come back the next day for the celebratory meal as well!

We tried a few beers from Five Wits and per her recommendation got the creamsicle shake as well. Solid beverage choices. The shake tasted part float part milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Would order again. The food on the other hand was a bit eh. We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.

Selenna was our server and she was so attentive to our party of 6 as well as the other tables she was taking care of. The salmon on my strawberry feta salad was seasoned to perfection! There are large TVs with sports playing, indoor and a heated patio for seating. Did I mention that Selenna was great?? I highly recommend trying this place!

My husband had the Smoked Brisket French Dip - Smoked Brisket, Caramelized Onions, Provolone Cheese, Au Jus, French Hoagie with Beer Battered Fries. I had The Motherclucker - Springer Mountain Farms Southern Fried Chicken, Spiced Pickles, Hot Sauce, Duke's Mayo, Niedlov's Bun. Hunter recommended adding Pepper Jack cheese and Bacon, as well as the Brussels Sprouts with Maple & Bacon. Everything was wonderful. There were way too many Brussels sprouts. It also would have been nice if they were cut into smaller pieces. They had a special dessert of Blackberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. This brought back childhood memories of my grandmother's cobblers. My husband had the Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream.

The reviews looked well, so we went hungry and excited. The restaurant is gorgeous, loved the view of the restaurant as I ate on the wall of booths. We had a reservation that was taken promptly, our service was convenient but I wouldn't say pleasant. We ordered the veggie pizza (great flavor, slimy texture from too many mushrooms etc 4/5) the ceasar salad (started with some finesse 4/5) and the jerk cauliflower(5/5). The only item we were disappointed in was the wings (1/5). Now let me explain. Wooden city reads as a smart modern, quality of food type of location. The wings were great values finest: and thus were huuuuge and unappetizing. Yall pull up, just don't get the wings lol
