I went in on a busy Monday evening. I was very hungry, and ready to eat. I ordered and went to get my debit card. I realized I had left it with a stack of paperwork and bills at home. No problem, I thought. I had a $100 bill in my wallet. The girl said she didn't have enough change. The manager took my bill to the back. He returned, quite a few minutes later and declared they had no change in the whole building for my bill. I asked if i could order more to take out, how much would I need to add? I was really hungry and was willing to feed my whole neighborhood if I had to. I was told, no change, have a good night... Highly do not recommend this location (Connor Dr.). The food was good but not worth $120 (including tip). The staff continued to giggle and whisper amongst each other as we were eating our food all while staring at us. And then slamming furniture right behind us while the kids were finishing up their food 30mins prior to closing, I guess to intimidate us to leave. They should be more worried about the leak in the ceiling by the bathrooms that caused my daughter to fall. read more

My husband went this past Sunday on October 5th to pick up a couple of burgers and fries. I had a bacon double cheeseburger with ketchup and mayo, when he got home it didn't look the greatest neither did the fries. But I proceeded to open it and took a couple of bites quickly putting it down and saying no I can't eat this. It tasted off. Within an hour I had started vomiting, and continued until 4:00 a.m. Monday morning. I didn't call the store because in the past when we've had problems it doesn't do any good. But I wanted to put the review there to let people know to be careful. A friendly, airy Five Guys at a mall outside Charlottesville! Lots of natural light. There's outdoor seating. They even play music outdoors. Spacious. Burger was delicious -- Five Guys quality. The only let down is the ladies' room. How can it be so dirty? They need to clean it better and more frequently. This is probably the friendliest five guys I've ever been to. I've visited here a couple times and every time the service has been amazing! You're greeted with a smile and everyone is so nice. This place is SO CLEAN too, they maintain it very well! This will continue to be my go-to burger place whenever the craving hits. Do yourself a favor and try the grilled cheese with the patty TikTok trend. It's like a patty melt whether you go all the way getting everything topping on it or not, it's SO GOOD. Good burger, but somehow, the buns, especially the bottom one, soaked up the juice, or sauce, made them sponge like; they practically just fell to pieces. Also, the complimentary peanuts were not fresh; they lack of brittleness. Very disappointed on my visit to the otherwise fine hamburger chain. read more

Our favorite burger place. The bun texture is perfect for the size of the meat patty. We usually get a double patty, lots of lettuce, tomato, onion. During the pandemic there was some difficulty ordering, as regular employees quit work and new ones started with a bit of language problems, but that was just fine. Everybody has to learn. Also they actually ran out of lettuce one visit, but this is during the supply crisis so it was understandable. The burgers are cooked well, everything is fresh, the place is clean. Gross. You leave the place and your clothes and hair stink of grease. The fries were limp, cold and disgusting. The burger was not even up to Buddy Burger on the grill standards, and that is pretty low. Way over hyped. I guess you have to have grown up with greasy food all your life to appreciate this place. So I've heard some people say that the best burger they've ever had was from five guys so me and the family went one night to see for ourselves. I guess it wasn't so much that the burgers were bad, they just weren't anything special to me. The food tasted fresh but very greasy. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and we all got Cajun fries. I the fries were seasoned well but weren't even the least bit crispy. I guess crispy fries are important to me. They gave us like 4 pounds of fries too. But the worst thing about five guys had to be the prices. For 2 adults and two kids to get 4 burgers, four fries and four drinks...over 40 freakin dollars!!! Are you kidding me?! Not worth that price in any situation. That's serious money and I expect a burger to taste worth it. It didn't. Sorry five guys. I've had waaaaay better burgers. Crave real Burgers, and even Ruby Tuesday come to mind. read more

I really can't not give this place five stars. Nothing short of perfect. The counter help was awesome; the seating was comfortable, well lit, and spacious; and the burger and fries were de-liscious!! I have been wanting to go to Five Guys in Austin, but haven't gotten around to it. Will have to do that now.. My so-called burger crawl, in an effort to rank burger joints in Austin, may end at Five Guys if it is as good as this one. I didn't figure out the barrel of peanuts. Do I take a cup? Pay for them? I didn't see shells on the floor so my guess is that you don't just crack them open and drop on floor, which is fine by me, as I get no enjoyment out of that.. I picture my mom shaking her head in disapproval.. I did discover that the shells on the floor, crushed under foot, oil the wood so it is in fact a good thing, unless the floors are linoleum in which case it serves no purpose. Anyway, I digress. Five guys is like any other five guys (I grew up eating at the original one when they first opened in northern VA). The reason I give this one 5 stars is bc they were clean, food wasn't greasy, and the wait is never ridiculously long. And w/the outdoor seating, we're able to bring our dog w/us, and they filled a tin container w/water for our dog too. read more

I let my husband talk me into coming to Five Guys despite disliking their burgers every time I've been one. Well it sucked as bad at this one as the other 2-3 I've tried over the years. However, the chocolate shake was awesome!! Only reason they got two stars. With only the two of us in the restaurant they got my order completely wrong!
