New location just opened a couple of months ago. Convienant location just off 65. Weird that it's next door to Planet Fitness and Crisp&Green... but some people want junk food after working out and salads are over priced. I arrived at 5pm and the place was quiet so I got quick service. Ordered a Little Cheeseburger, small fries and a vanilla milkshake. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics. Regular burgers come with 2 patties, while little burgers have only 1. They are the same size bun though. Fixings are free: mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, onion (raw or grilled), tomato, lettuce etc. You pick your toppings. Small fries is enough!!! You could order regular and split between 2 people. They are packaged in a hard, cardboard cup, but the bottom of the bag runneth over!!! So many fries. They are made fresh from raw, skin on potatoes. The closest thing to the state fair French fries I've ever found. Milk shake was thick. Needed to melt some before the straw worked. If you like greasy junk food burger and fries, this is the place. Everything is packaged in a brown paperbag, complete with grease stains. Also take note that they are peanut friendly. Hard shell peanuts available, and they use peanut oil.

    Excessively seasoned Cajun fries

I get the feeling they don't like when I request light salt on my fries. They either ignore the request or like tonight drown them in Cajun seasoning. Burgers are great though.

Stopped here for lunch today. We got burgers and fries. It was pretty busy today but we didnt have to wait long. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. My wife got the little cheeseburger. You and choose your toppings. Everything was good today. We had peanuts for an appetizer and also dessert. Well be back.

    Peanuts!!!

My favorite was hands down the giardiniera sauce, it had a little kick to it, but in a very good way! The other sauces were your standard dipping sauces, which is fine, don't get me wrong. The giardiniera sauce was just top of the list for sure. Also, now that it's coming to be spring/summer....their lemon cake shakes are back! I HAD to get the strawberry lemon cake shake, it's so good, but oh so bad LOL! All in all, the food was hot, and the service was great! The person in the lobby cleaning tables even greeted people as they walked in and thanked them when they left. Great experience overall!

Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Order: Italian Beef with hot peppers and grilled onions with cheese sauce ... dry. The pro move is to order broth to dip on the side. If you dip the sandwich it was to be eaten in the restaurant immediately or else the bun just disintegrates and you are eating it with a knife and fork. The beef was flavorful. The cheese sauce is like a warm hug. The grilled onions add a little crunch and texture. The hot peppers add that kick that wakes up your taste buds with each bite. This is like a Philly cheesesteak/french dip/italian beef all in one! So so so good. Enjoy.

I went to the mall for a quick lunch on a weekday and saw that there were 3 Hmong establishments…read morejust like the ones at the Hmong Mall. I was delighted. This one had the most people at the counter, so I thought it must be good. I ordered the Khao Poo noodle, which is a spicy noodle dish. It looked good on the menu. $14.99 is par for the course now for a noodle bowl. I had to order from the kiosk, but the receipt spit out on the other side of the counter. I had to go and ask for it. There was one guy working the kitchen and the counter, while there was another lady on the bubble tea side. I thought that was strange as it all looked like one business. I started to notice that the people standing around were all waiting for food. Well it took 20 minutes for my noodle to appear. So much for a quick lunch. Apparently because of their receipt print out not being available, there was another customer who mistook my Khao Poo with his. Well I showed him my receipt and he backed off. (Pro tip: get your receipt!!!) The noodle bowl looked very appetizing. I was excited. After taking the photo though, I dug into it and discovered that the noodles were in a clump, like they were just taken out of the fridge and poured the broth on top without stirring it. Well cold noodles with not boiling broth makes for a lukewarm bowl of noodles. I asked for pig's blood, which I paid extra for and were absent. The rice noodles were overcooked and they started to fall apart in earnest. However, the bowl had a lot of flavor. But the execution and temperature were not on point. Their saving grace was a surprise. Since there wasn't much protein in the noodle bowl, I was still hungry. I went and ordered a Durian Smoothie. The lady confirmed that it was real fruit in the smoothie. Well they were really proud of it: $8.95 for a smoothie!! Well I didn't care. I cannot remember the last time I had a real durian smoothie with real durian. When it came, OMG!! This was insane. I had died and gone to heaven. So 3 stars for the food and service, and 5 stars for the smoothie, so we land at 4 stars. Maybe get a burger or pho next door, and get the smoothie here.

It was a Friday night, but we arrived a bit after 5 pm and the place was completely full. However, we didn't wait long for a table because turnover is quick. This is the second time I've eaten at this location and the food and service is consistently good. The 5-8 Club claims they invented the Juicy Lucy, as does Matt's Bar. (For those who don't know, a Juicy Lucy made of two thin hamburger patties stuffed with cheese and then grilled, resulting in liquid lava in the middle of your hamburger.) My wife says that she prefers Matt's Jucy Lucy (note spelling difference) because the burgers are smaller, meaning the cheese to meet ratio makes it more cheesy, where 5-8 uses a larger burger, so it seems as if they use less cheese. I'm not a huge fan of either (I'd rather have a conventional burger), but personally I'd opt for the larger burger with more meat than cheese. Also, I give points to 5-8 for spelling Juicy correctly. The fries that come with the burger were seemed like they were battered, but were hot and tasty. I opted for the Wings and chose the Thai Chili sauce. The wings were great! I have been into wings lately and these were very meaty and were well crisped on the outside, but juicy (or jucy) on the inside. The Thai Chili sauce was sweet and a bit tangy, but certainly not overly spicy. The wings came with celery sticks and a blue cheese dressing that had actual blue cheese in the dressing. Service was friendly and surprisingly good, considering how busy they were. All in all, it was a good experience. There menu is typical bar food, but they do it well.

Great place - 5 stars!…read more I've been buying most of my meat products from Coborn's in Ramsey for many years. But I haven't been very happy with the "Four Brothers" brand. (The previous "Kretschmar" brand was even worse.) Fortunately, I visited Anoka Meat and Sausage for the first time and I'm very impressed. This is definitely my new go-to spot for my zero-carb, meat based diet. This place has nearly everything you could ever want from a meat market. Plus, they have tons of extra specialty products like spices, rubs, sauces...and more. And they're the ONLY place I've found (so far) in my local area that offers bacon with no added sugar! I don't know why it's is so hard to find processed meat with no sugar. Companies insist on throwing sugar in every damn food product and they even do it with meat...rotisserie chickens, hot dogs, sausages, hot dogs, jerky, brats, bacon, braunschweiger, etc. Don't believe me? Read the labels. They try to hide it by listing sugars on the ingredient label as organic cane juice, turbinado sugar, sucanat, molasses, honey, dextrose, kings syrup, invert syrup, maltose...you name it...they try to sneak it in everything. I found a website that lists sugars by 65 difference deceptive and sneaky names. It's sad. I guess the big food companies want everyone to be diabetic. Last but not least, the employees are very friendly and I feel the prices are very reasonable. You can go to Main Street Anoka and buy a high end product for the same price (or less) than the big box grocery stores with questionable quality. What's not to love? Thumbs up! -Maxx
