Not only did my pinched nerve improve after a few sessions, but I also experienced benefits I wasn't expecting. My sleep improved, I felt noticeably calmer, and the constant stress I had been carrying seemed to ease. Aimee has made such a positive difference in my life, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering acupuncture.

I started seeing Colleen after a heavy breakup and wanting to reconnect to myself and it was far and away exactly what I needed and every treatment/appointment is filled with intention. Colleen takes time and true genuine care to provide the best session and supplemental practices or herbal remedies to promote wellness and healing. I feel so seen and taken care of. I had to take a little break to deal with some life stuff -- but dealing with life stuff is what will bring me back and I am so looking forward to centering myself and coming back home to myself through accupuncture. Highly recommend!! Could not sing Nido's praises more

Unable to find a good fit, after my acupuncturist of 8 years retired. I was so genuinely surprised by techniques and varied skill sets Joan offers. I love the wide range of healing knowledge she has. In my first session she removed a knee / leg pain I had ongoing for many weeks. But, this is not the 'frosting on the cake' ---in my second session she helped me release on many other levels. Including a chronic hip / thigh major scenario and an emotional heart blockage from loss. I feel like I am in a very safe place to be healed. Jane generates that calm feeling while offering so much healing wisdom.

Thank you so much Joan for helping me with my neck/back pain…read more I was traveling for a wedding and had an issue with my neck on the long flight and was able to make an appointment with Joan last minute on a Saturday. She was incredibly welcoming and I came into her office unable to move my left arm without significant discomfort. After about 45 minutes of treatment I left with so much less pain! It was incredible and the way she stayed with me and helped ease not only my physical pain but relaxed me as well saved me from excruciating pain. If I lived in the area I would surely visit her at least once a week knowing the benefits of consistent treatment. She was very reasonable with her rates-I expected and would have gladly paid double what she charged. Take advantage of her expertise and skilled healing abilities!

Jordanna is the best massage therapist I've encountered…read more She's extremely thoughtful, careful, and just flat out talented. I've been seeing her for over a year, and I've never once had a session that was anything less than stellar. Many massage therapists, even very skillful ones, will occasionally find themselves "just going through the motions," but Jordanna has always found the time and energy to put serious thought into our sessions. I'm always amazed at how willing she is to take some extra time to figure out what's going on with my body and mind and how she can help me. She's wonderful at managing all the little factors that can cause distractions during a session (noise level, draping issues, etc.), and making sure I'm able to drift off and let myself relax. She's also a great communicator. Jordanna is interested in learning from any and all sorts of massage traditions and modalities, but is also serious about making sure there is some scientific or concrete basis to believe that her methods can be genuinely beneficial. Basically I bring this up to point out that while she has interest in methods that some may consider "alternative," I've never once felt uncomfortable discussing my thoughts or skepticism of a given practice, and she always adapts her practices to my needs and interests. In this way she's introduced me to techniques that I may never have sought out previously, with wonderful results. I've found that massages from her have become not just a physical experience; they are also mood- and mind-altering in ways that help me to manage and improve my own health in the long-term. If you find this to sound a bit too grand or mystical, I'm confident Jordanna would be completely able to understand your skepticism, laugh with you, and tailor a session towards the more grounded and physical side of massage. I could go on forever but I think you get the point.

I am so grateful to have found Jordanna! I've gotten…read moremassages in the past and never found someone that left me wanting to come back regularly, until I met Jordanna. She is so talented, and most importantly, leaves me feeling so amazing, that I've made a commitment to see her monthly. Once things started reopening in spring of 2021, I decided to resume my search for a great massage therapist. At that time, I was just looking for someone to help me relax a bit and destress from a rough several months. I was referred to Jordanna by one of my own clients. When I met Jordanna, she was so professional, knowledgeable, and made me feel extremely comfortable. I felt like I had met her before because conversation flowed so naturally. At the beginning of my first session, she took a good amount of time to learn more about my goals as they relate to massage, my life/lifestyle, and my body. I've never had a massage therapist take the time to chat with me so thoroughly beforehand. The massage itself was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect amount of feel-good relaxation while focusing on releasing tension in "problem areas". When I was done, Jordanna took the time again to discuss my body, how I felt and what she observed. I learned so much about my body from the first session alone, and continue to be impressed by Jordanna's knowledge. What she does is better described as body work, rather than massage, as I get so much out of my sessions with her and she teaches me so much. I am now a "hooked" regular, and Jordanna still takes the time to thoroughly talk to me about my body before and after each session. This is the best gift that I've given myself; the commitment to seeing Jordanna regularly. My body (and mind) is so happy! I can't speak more highly of her. Jordanna is the best.

I always felt like a new person leaving. Like I got a reset button pushed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had a 90-minute session with Jo Ann yesterday, which was wonderful. Unlike the corporate or chain…read morespa experience, it felt like visiting a friend you've known for a long time for a session of healing. Her rates are about 30-40% less than the spas I was checking out online in Calistoga and Petaluma. She works out of her home, which is lovely and has a lot of sunny, calming colors. You'll see the mailbox numbers to know you've arrived, then park in her driveway up the hill. Jo Ann was there to greet me, ask about problem areas in her kitchen, then take me to her massage room which has some chrystals and a comfortable, luxurious heated table and blankets. The massage was really relaxing and easy to stay in the moment, and one of the most interesting I've had. I lived in Thailand and have had a lot of Thai massages, and Jo Ann did incorporate some of the stretching/tractioning movements and accupressure common in Thai massage throughout the session. She is formally trained in PUSH, and has really strong hands so can also accomodate deep tissue. The medium pressure I requested was harder-handed and used different technique than Swedish, but she assured she could accomodate that too. One of the best parts of our session was her use of hot stones on almost every body part. You can practically feel your muscles opening up and unknotting. I also enjoyed the strategically placed warm washcloths - a head wrap at the end made me feel like I was floating in a cocoon. Jo Ann can also accomodate cupping, though I didn't try it. She did a full 90 minutes, which I appreciated since sometimes 90 minutes means 10 mins to chat about problem areas and 10 mins to get dressed at the end. She had a glass of water waiting, and we sat down in her living room and chatted for 15 mins about life and purpose as a hummingbird flitted up to the window for a drink. I'm telling you, this woman is magical and she's cultivated an environment to match her personality and aura. Go see Jo Ann!

My food intolerances were getting so bad that I was having reactions to nearly every type of food out there. Three weeks after undergoing the SAAT acupuncture, I was able to eat foods and drink beverages which I hadn't been able to handle for seven years. I was shocked how well it worked. Prior to this experience, I had never had any experience with acupuncture, I knew nothing about acupuncture, nor did I particularly believe in acupuncture. Obviously now I am a believer in this interesting modality. The practitioner and owner David Russell is a very honest, hard working, patient and kind person. He seeks to help others and doesn't try to pressure patients to do anything that he doesn't believe will help them. He is a great listener and I am very grateful to have found him and his practice.

Why didn't I come to Petaluma Community Acupuncture sooner?!…read more I came here for plantar fasciitis (aka the worst) after trying everything my doctor recommended with minimal improvement. A friend suggested this place, and I'm so glad I listened. Total game changer. I started seeing Elizabeth and Steven, who set me up on a twice-a-week plan for a few weeks, then once a week after that, and it actually worked. My pain dropped dramatically, and I began looking forward to each session. If you've never been to a community-style acupuncture clinic, it might feel a little different at first: a big, peaceful room filled with recliners (each with its own colorful sheet) and everyone in full relaxation mode. You get comfy, they pop in the needles, and suddenly you're in the most blissful nap of your life. Elizabeth (the owner) and Steven are both amazing - super knowledgeable, collaborative, and they actually read your chart and adjust your treatment each time based on how you're feeling.
