Quality: **** Price: *****…read moreAtmosphere/Cleanliness: Varies by location Butcher: *** Fresh Produce: **** Service: **** In the local area years ago we had one grocery store option. Then we had two options with Pic N Sav. Now, we have 8 not counting Sam's, Costco or Target, Walmart. all offering a different value proposition. So the question is, what are you looking for and what do you value most? I began to go to the Aldi's on the West side of Waukesha (2 years old) after the local Sentry closed. I have found that not all Aldi stores are created the same. Cleanliness, service and stock seems to differ from locations. So this review is for this location which is newer than most and seems to be a bit different (better). Aldi is about the essentials you need at a very reasonable price. They do have a very small selection of Organic foods such as vegetables, fruits and sugars to name a few things. Not the largest selection of gluten-free products, but they do have options such as crackers and noodles. The meat department is hit and miss for me. I have had some roasts there (dining at a friends house) and I've tried their corned beef (wasn't good) to their chick breasts, pork chops and salmon. The latter being okay. A small off brand of beers and wines selection. I typically don't buy my wines here. When I buy wines, I generally buy 6-12 bottles at a time and I can find better wines elsewhere. Service is good. Usually only one register but they are fast and friendly. I am never waiting in line more than 3-5 minutes. This store seems much cleaner than others. Also, make sure you bring a quarter to use a cart. When you return your cart you get your quarter back. This reduces labor for someone to collect carts and it reduces Aldi's overall cost and thy pass it down to the consumer. Bring your reusable bags otherwise pay ten cents for bags. Again, to reduce overall cost for Aldi. Overall, you can't find everything here but for most items you can find it here at a really reasonable price. Just make sure the quality fits your needs and if it does, Aldi is a good alternative.

My gripe with this store has to do with the quality of the produce. Every single time I take a look…read moreat the fruit, I see a container or bag with a little bit of mold. This means that I have to take extra time inspecting each piece of produce in order to ensure that I get the freshest item possible. Moreover, the cucumbers are always a little bit squishy, the avocados are either hard as a rock or overripe, and the bananas never seem to ripen evenly (one side will be green while the other will have lots of brown spots). Other than that, I think this is a fine store. There is a large selection and the prices are very reasonable. The employees are helpful and efficient. However, they are always understaffed. I would not recommend shopping here on a Sunday. If you go at that time, everything will be picked over. Lastly, remember to bring a quarter for a shopping cart and plenty of reusable bags (otherwise they'll charge you $0.10 for each paper bag you use).

As far as Kwik Trips go, this one is pretty mediocre. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful,…read morebut the store itself leaves something to be desired. (However, I would still recommend this Kwik Trip over any other type of gas station like BP, Speedway, etc.) The bathrooms are pretty decent. They're not gross by any means, just not tidy. Each time I've stopped here, there are a few scraps of toilet paper on the ground and there is a lot of water splashed around by the sinks. My other issue with the store is the layout. The aisles are packed close together, so it's hard to maneuver if there are multiple people in an aisle. If you use a wheelchair or have a stroller, it's going to be extremely difficult to browse. Because the store itself is so cramped, the checkout lines can extend back into the aisles when this location is busy. As far as food goes, the donuts are incredible! The classic Glazers are my favorite, but their old fashioned donuts, chocolate cake donuts, and blueberry donuts are also delicious. The prices are very reasonable as well, and sometimes when you pump gas a coupon will print out to save some money inside on things like hot food, donuts, and pizzas. If you're going to stop inside at this Kwik Trip, I'd recommend knowing what you want to buy ahead of time. Browsing is pretty inconvenient, so I'd save yourself the trouble. The gas prices here are good. It's normally a few cents cheaper here per gallon than other gas stations. The pumps themselves are easy to use, and there are enough of them that there usually isn't any issue finding a spot to fill up.

I'm just going to say it: I have a long running, moderately strange obsession with gas stations. I…read moreworked on the road, out of a truck for several years and you learn to appreciate things that folks working in offices take for granted. The things I like about Kwik Trip, in general: -The stores are big, bright and clean. -At any hour of the day, you can get a hot cup of decent coffee. In Wisconsin and with my former profession, this can be a life saver. -CLEAN BATHROOMS: This is the deciding factor for me. I have nearly thrown up at the sight of some bathrooms before, but Kwik Trip is spotless. Things I don't like: -Their hot food. Most of it tastes just fine, but I cannot imagine eating anything less healthy. I know most people coming through aren't thinking about nutrition and are simply looking for a quick bite to tide them over, but it would be nice to have a few more healthful options. This store in particular is brand new, sparkly clean and well staffed. They have a nice car wash on site and it is in a location bereft of other options. There you have it, the first (And probably the only. Ever) gas station testimonial. You might call it a magnum opus, an ode to the petroleum industry. Probably not though. That would be dumb.

Initially when I couldn't find the items on my own, I just was going to leave the store, but as soon as I met Erin, she turned things around. She really knows her Christmas products and department, and extended herself. She is a great asset to your store. Thanks Erin, strong work!

Value: +++++ Stock: +++++…read moreVariety: +++++ Overall service summary: ++++ I am not this crafty person more because I have other priorities. My wife just loves Hobby Lobby and was so excited to have this location open a few years back. So with that being said I or we love this place and I will write this review to include thoughts from my wife. They are much larger and have a larger inventory than competitor Michael's. The store is well planned and laid out by "crafts" or needs. Always plenty of inventory on the shelf. And from my point of view every type of craft or hobby imaginable besides electrical or RC type hobby. So this is aimed at more of the crafts. My youngest son is in cub scouts and entered the pinewood derby race (2nd time) and I had gone to Elliot's Ace hardware last year for supplies and this year to a Michael's only to need more glue later in and decided to come here. Well now I found out they have a very extensive section for pinewood derby and no need to drive 20 minutes further than here. I also like the corporate philosophy of treating their employees with Christian values and the store hours and holidays reflect that. You sure don't find that too often in today's political correctness. I believe their prices are very reasonable too. Always clean and organized. The aisles are not too small and cramped with stock. So with all of this love, why 4 stars? The overall service brings the rating down to 4 stars. Just okay. Always need to search around for help and usually one checkout is open. Occasionally two. During holidays that's when you feel the wait is excessive. But they probably manage their cost with the labor really well and pass that savings down to the consumer so if I could give them 4.5 stars I would. To me, no need to go anywhere else for your craft needs.

You're…read morewelcome ;) Anyway, I've been to this location three times now and while I have been helped by three different associates, all of them have been nothing but wonderful. Helping suggest items based on what I have picked out, suggesting different cuts and colors, and suggesting other items to complete my outfit. And, while most stores have gotten rid of helping out customers when they are in the fitting rooms, the associates at this store are willing to go get another size, a different cut, or a different shirt to go with the skirt you are trying on. It is kind of funny that the last time I was in a Maurices, I think I was in middle school, listening to Boyz II Men, looking for chokers to accessorize my overall shorts and butterfly clips to put by the thousands in my hair. While the music hasn't really changed (loved hearing "Ice Ice Baby" tonight), the styles have, but you can find an entire outfit right down to the shoes. The reason I set foot in this Maurices the first time was that I happened to be shopping at Target for something, but couldn't find what I was looking for and I figured Maurices might have it. I have continued to stop in because I'm one of those in-between sizes... in-between "regular" sizes and "plus" sizes. I can shop between the two shops to find the right combination of sizes that work for me. The shop is also well kept. There is nothing worse than having to avoid tripping on clothes on the floor, mounds of unfolded clothes on the tables, and piles of clothes in the dressing rooms, so I highly appreciate the effort they go to in order to maintain the appearance of the store. The white, pleather benches in the dressing rooms could use a deep clean, but I'm usually hopping around, balancing as I try on clothes rather than sitting down. This also saves me from having to spend 30 minutes driving to busy, packed malls!
