    Produce Section

Honestly, this isn't a bad grocery store. It's not my favorite, but I don't actively avoid it. The prices are pretty high, but if you have a rewards card they are slightly more reasonable. I usually have pretty good luck in the produce, deli, and bakery sections. There's a pretty big selection in those areas and everything seems fresh. The apples are especially good - they're always sweet and always crispy. The main grocery area is where the problems really are. Though the selection is big, so many things seem to be out of stock all the time. The dairy section is the main culprit. You can see that there is a lot of space for products, but it's mostly empty and there are little stickers that say something along the lines of "Sorry this item is out of stock. We'll restock soon." But in reality, I don't think I've ever seen this section fully stocked. The aisles themselves are not very wide. This makes it difficult for multiple people with shopping carts to maneuver around. If you use a wheelchair, this will probably be difficult for you. My other gripe with this store is the checkout lanes. The lines are almost always backed up way into the aisles. There are only a couple self-checkout lanes and usually only one or two lanes with a cashier are open. Don't be surprised if you spend more time waiting to checkout than actually grocery shopping.

Get no respect. What's in a name. All together now. They've been called Pick & Save, Pic N Save, and Shop & Save. It's Pick 'n Save folks. It's a grocery store. It's not the closeout store Pic 'N' Save, incorporated in 1950, in Culver City, California. Pick 'n Save's humble beginnings were as a warehouse food store, started in 1975. Now a standard supermarket grocery store chain. One of the many gobbled up by Kroger. That was back in 2015. I personally like this location. Staff has been helpful when I've had difficulty with the electronic coupons and self checkout. They've taken returns under what I considered reasonable conditions during COVID-19. They have a discount section for bakery goods back in dairy. There is also a clearance section up front at self checkout. Not my main grocery store, but I like to stop by and pick up a few items now and then. Rarely get fresh fresh fruits and vegetables here. Mainly just because price and quality aren't competitive with elsewhere. Be sure to read the other reviews to get the full experience of a visit to Pick 'n Save, located here in Southwest Waukesha on Sunset Dr. You won't be disappointed.

It's backed up a mile at the checkout see photo. I just wanted to get two bags of popcorn and it was gonna take me 20 minutes.

Pick-up department sure needs work, I get a phone message that my order is ready to pick-up at…read more6:45, drive over to pick-up 5 minutes later (I live close by), I call 8 or 9 times as I'm watching other people receive their orders. Tired of waiting so I close my tailgate and get ready to leave but call once more. Then I'm told in a short sarcastic way 'we don't do pick-ups for customers until 7, only delivery drivers', I then ask why did I get the message to pick-up at 6:45? I tell them I'm in bay #1, it's after 7 now and I watch other people get their orders. Finally cancel mine and leave, cancellation doesn't go through for an hour now, call Walmart customer service and they say it will take up to 10 days to get a refund. I've been a Walmart+ member for years, no longer,,,,

After having lunch in town I decided to not go to my Walmart and check out the one in Waukesha…read moreinstead. This is your typical bigger Walmart one stop shop store with all your needs. I don't know if it was my imagination but I had a hard time flying/navigation through the store like my store because it's set up different. The deli was nicer than my store with more variety that I noticed right away and basically newer/nicer. Even though I found everything I needed I did notice empty shelves around the store and certain items with a couple left on the shelf. I only saw one person restocking the meat department and other employees walking around or taking to each other. Typical weekend Walmart with 50 feet of registers and and three of the lit up/open signs on, I'm just into the self check out. I was looking for a quiet small desk fan and they have them but they are battery or USB powered only, how to I test it. F it I grabbed it and went to the electronics department with no employees in it and I took it out of the box and plugged it into a lap top, works for me and now I don't have to deal with any returns if I got it home and I didn't like it. Overall it's a Walmart and every store has its pluses and minuses but this store has a UPS shipping store in line with the bank and the Subway which I thought was a nice thing if you need to ship boxes out. I walked away with everything on my list for the most part but one item I had to get a lesser brand because the common brand was in one of the gaping empty whole shelf's missing stock
