False advertising. Most items are in fact not five below . Not worth it !!! And why would a customer bring a dog in ?

Garbage. Basura…read more Been wanting to come here by seeing them on Yelp. It's my first, and unfortunately my last. They have parking at the back for convenience. Upon entrance, no greeting whatsoever. Horrible service. The place is dead as it is. No customers at all. No welcome, nor any acknowledgment from the people that work here. One of them just stood at the back staring at us like we were going to pocket the garbage they had sitting in the bins. The workers that manage here or are friends or relatives of the owners need to step it up. The business high key looks like it's gonna shut down soon, and the least they can do to salvage the business is welcome the customers. The workers were shouting and yelling across the room about something they were looking at glued to their phones and yapping so loudly. They only mumbled hello under their breath when we were already leaving. They looked up and only said something towards the end. Which is too late. Had they been more friendly, they'd get more customers. Unfortunately, they need to learn a thing or two about customer service and professionalism in the workplace. Very gh3tt0. The bins are so dirty. Had a bunch of useless, trash or damaged, ripped, discarded pieces of junk everywhere. Not quality items. So packed and tight in one small rented space. A smaller version of other stores that sell overstock garbage. This place is technically used as a storage. For the rent they pay to lease it, must be a hard sell not having customers. I don't even think they separate or rotate their items on different days that are different prices. A $1 item is sold on $10 days. Doesn't make sense. There were also different prices advertised all over the store which looks confusing. My advice is tend to your customers, pay more attention, be more friendly, clean your items or remove unnecessary waste from the bins and rotate items that should look like their prices. Overall negative stars. Will not be back. I don't recommend. Waste of time.

Bargain Hunters Dream & Treasure Hunters Delight…read more I've driven by this place a few times while on busy Hawthorne Blvd. and decided to finally stop in today. I was warmly greeted by Marie as soon as I walked in. Apparently, they opened for business pre-Black Friday in 2024. I returned on Wednesday afternoon to see what treasures remained and chatted with Marie & someone new (to be at least), Liz. Both are friendly & helpful. For those that are unfamiliar with 'liquidators', they buy pallets of misc. bundled goods that are 'returns' from online retailers & big box stores. Then, they sort through the mystery merchandise and re-sell it at steep discounts to consumers like us. The stuff varies, so you'll find new items all the time, which is the fun part of shopping here. The interior of this business is bigger than I thought, with many rows of tables filled with misc. general merchandise that are sold per item at the daily price. Then, there are other items (clothes, shoes, cosmetics, phone cases, etc.) that are separated, which are clearly priced separately, but still a deal. (I asked & was told that this place also has a "Fill'er Up" promo on Wednesdays @ $15, but this special is not offered until a few hours before closing and there is no guarantee that it'll be announced.) Word from the wise. If you see something that you want, on days preceding '$1 Wednesday', perhaps you should buy it then. Because, chances are that somebody else liked it too and will snatch it, before you return on Wednesday. They have a large selection of women's clothes and they sell for $3 each, regardless of the 'daily price' which applies to general merchandise on the other tables. Besides street parking, there's additional parking in the rear.

They have everything household related I might need! From cleaning to kitchen to art to school supplies and then some, they've got it. They also had snacks from chips to chocolates to noodles. You need over-the-counter meds? They have it too! They even have imported goods from Japan, so if that's your thing, you might find it here. Pricing point is more than fair considering its location. Staff was friendly, service came with a smile. Like the first run, I found everything I needed as well... and then some! I frequent the AMC theater a few yards away. That said, I'd probably make stops here just the same.

This review is solely regarding customer service on one of the girls--whoever was working 05/24/25…read more@ 4:21pm needs to be properly trained. I have been coming here for many years and support the small business. I always buy something to patronize the business when I can. I personally have befriended the owner throughout the years. Whenever I see him, he is really nice, friendly, holds a conversation, and takes the time to talk and is extremely helpful and always smiling from ear to ear. They bring in different products from time to time, and their brand items are quite expensive for the most part. The store is packed with a lot of goods and I love walking around looking through them. Unfortunately my last visit here, the girl that cashed me out was not really friendly. She was a bit rude and unprofessional. I asked her how I can check my loyalty points as I have forgotten how to retrieve them. Every time you spend, the store rewards you back with credit. I politely asked her and she told me to pay first. So I got confused. As I was checking out, I paid, and then she gave me the receipt. I figured it would show me on the receipt or at least she would show me where to look or would have told me if I had any. My whole point was to check if I had any prior to paying so I can use it. When I asked again, she got annoyed and told me "you need to put in your information to check" with an attitude. She never showed me where to punch in my info, or even bothered to guide me. I told her, the reason why I wanted to check first is to see if I had any points to use. She again repeated "Like I said, you need to put in your number" She looked annoyed as if I was supposed to know what she was talking about. A little but if guidance would've helped. I was standing there looking dumb. When my info finally came up on their pin pad, it showed I only had one point. She looked and was all "Well you only have one point anyway" meaning it was useless to check. She was not only UNHELPFUL butcondescending I didn't say anything to the owner at the time when he emerged at the end because I didn't want the kid to get in trouble. She was young, and was just trying to make a little cash. I'm sure it would've helped the owner's business and would have appreciated me speaking to him about the situation to better improve loyalty for the customers and also for the business itself. In my experience, I would suggest proper training on the girls they hire here and perhaps better management on how to deal with customer service in the future. The kids they hire are young, but need more training on how to properly handling customers and taking the time to help them instead of just cashing them out quickly with no rapport--be more friendlier and professional.

Overall Dollar Tree the corporation and business model is great and convenient. However, this one…read morelocation has some pretty inept employees and the long haired, bearded stoner looking "manager" w/ dark rimmed glasses has little situational awareness to say the least. There were easily 20+ people waiting in line that turned into a crowd of people and there was only one register open with at least 2 other employees both on the floor and both visibly nearby. Multiple customers sighed, eyes rolled and a couple even commented "Hello?" and "um, open another register..?" It took him well over 10+ minutes but he finally picked up the telephone intercom and called for rescue help to come open up a 2nd register and they finally did when an extremely morbidly obese bald guy employee immediately gave me some attitude, instead of saying "hello" or "sorry for the wait" he snapped "geez, can't you wait?!" What? We were all waiting 10+ minutes, then he said " you were not next in line" he was mistaken so I told him "no, actually I was next in line" (I don't cut lines) and how would he even know? He didn't see me standing in line amongst the crowd, he was looking nervously waiting on deck in the corner folding party balloons and waiting for the call to step up to the plate (pun intended...) and to be fair I did not wait for him to say "next in line" and I just put my 5 items on the belt, so "my bad" sorry not sorry, he then said "if you don't like waiting, there's the door". Yes, thank you Porky I'm well aware of the door location and ready to leave this disaster. I refrained from asking him the location of the nearest all-you-can-eat buffet because he was clearly looking stressed out, both sweating a lot and breathing heavily...after that I simply said "I don't know why it took so long to open a 2nd register with all these people waiting" then the "manager" yelled "DUDE, ENOUGH!!" I wasn't sure if he was talking to me or to his co-worker that started the entire unnecessary verbal exchange. At this point women were wide-eyed, blushing and looking around and young kids and teenagers in line were laughing. Pretty comical scene and sadly pathetic on their part. I understand working at Dollar Tree is probably a miserable experience overall and not an ideal career choice but maybe try to be better under pressure or find another place to work? Not worth it if they are so easily triggered by customers in long lines that they created by waiting too long to take action. The crowd could have been avoided entirely with 2 lines moving quickly if the long haired, bearded stoner looking "manager" w/ dark rimmed glasses knew how to actually manage a rush. Maybe he was under the influence of recreational marijuana and I think that he was based on his disheveled, unkempt appearance and his very slow reaction time...
