This location is tore up from the floor up. The product quality went way downhill since last time I was here. Just to buy a broom, you gotta pay for the stick/handle , dustpan, and brush separate, so it's 3 pieces you have to buy separately to make a broom. The staff was nice but that's about it. Do not recommend. Very unorganized and a mess. read more

I come to this store often. It is down the street from my house . I am so disturbed by the fact that they have their employees and customers with no air conditioning and not even a box fan !! Giving a shout out to one of the clerks (white dude with long hair). I watched him step in and helped the cashier when the bag of vases accidentally broke. He was super sweet and went the extra mile to help the "auntie" ahead of me who bought a ton of vases and flower. Their refrigeration units keep breaking down and it's so annoying. You go there to buy some thing and it's broke down again and again and it takes them forever to fix it. My wife went into this location a few weeks ago to change a few items she had purchased at the DollarTree. The employees were very rude to her to the point where they verbally assaulting her. One of them even followed her to her car while verbally assaulting her. I normally love the Dollar Tree Store. I have been known to drive several miles to get to one before closer ones popped up. But I have to tell you all a funny store..... We were running around picking up the cake and the balloons for my husband's Surprise Birthday Party. Well we all know that if you don't need a particular style balloon, the dollar store has a pretty good choice for yes.... a dollar! A little different from the average $3.95! Okay...so, we're in a hurry.... and my total is $12.07 so I hand "Pierre" $15 and he seems to be low on ones so I look and actually have the $2.07. And he says........ "That's okay, I would have to ring everything up all over again." My daughter and my friend and I look at each other dumbfounded and my daughter pipes ups nicer than I would have been and says "Actually if you just give her back the $5, you will have the same amount in the drawer." And he says...."I still would have to re-ring everything up." At this point we are already behind schedule so we just say fine.... but I couldn't help from turning around and saying as nicely as possible...."Please just think about it after we leave." I try to never judge just because a person works somewhere because I have gotten such wonderful customer service from places you might not expect such obvious intelligence and cluelessness from people at places I might expect more from.... I have a secret. If you ever receive a greeting card from me, I probably bought it at Dollar Tree. Their awesome selection of greeting cards, which are so neatly displayed, are just two for a dollar. I've shopped at my share of various dollar stores and this Dollar Tree may be smaller than other locations but I still seem to find what I need when it comes to my dollar store needs. One of the main things I've noticed consistently about Dollar Tree is that their crafting section is quite impressive! Also the entire store is so clean and neatly organized. This dollar tree is a little on the small side but it had everything that I needed. Wrapping paper, scissors and tape. Ok, so the tape wasn't the best, it was cheap and got the job done. While I was in here, I also got some kitchen supplies, which they have a good selection and some new bowls. I've bought bowls here before which crack easily but that's what you get when you spend $1. This is a slightly smaller location than most, but for some reason, and I do shop at the location on Artesia Blvd in Redondo Beach, this has slightly different inventory, so it's got some unique items to select from not found at other stores. This has easy parking and shares a big parking lot with Von's Super Market. The store is clean and organized and well lit too. You can find some good bargains here similarly to The $0.99 Only Stores including party favors, decorations, greeting cards and other items that normally sell for $3 or so, and get 'em here for $1 If you know how to price shop, it can be cheaper here than Big Lots, Target, WalMart, etc. and is worth checking out for certain items. read more

I'm addicted to shopping at dollar stores, and this Dollar Tree is perfect because it's down the street from my house! Hubby's had the flu so I was headed to Vons to go buy Lysol, but, when I got to the shopping center, I realized that the Dollar Tree was next door. So of course, I had to try here first before spending $5+ on a can of disinfectant spray. Sure enough, they had the spray...and a host of other cleaning products to clean up the house. I got some microfiber rags, sponges, air fresheners, a colander, kids mouthwash and a four pack of ring pops. Yes, I always spend way more than I anticipate, but all of that would have been like $40 at a store that will go unnamed but will lure you in with their RedCard!! This store is small but is clean with plenty of stuff to browse through. I gave them 4 stars since there's always a long line and only one checker. read more

I needed balloons for a celebration. Was headed to Von's, and the Dollar Tree happened to be next door! Score. The Dollar Tree is my go to for balloons and gift bags. Helium balloons and gift bags for one dollar cannot be beat. I was able to get a bunch of helium balloons that worked for my event. I wish they offered the full Dollar Tree line of helium balloons for SoCo residents. As I was checking out the sales lady offered me free balloon weights. That has never happened, neat option. Grateful to have this local Dollar Tree nearby where I can get affordable cards, paper goods, cleaning supplies, dog bags & cleaning gloves. Want to give a special note of thanks to employee Trevor. I was ready to check out tonight - only to see one lane open. Trevor was waiting in line to take his break and had some snacks on the conveyor belt - but the cashier was helping a mom and son get some helium balloons. He saw me come up to stand in line behind him and asked if he could help check me out in another lane.....very nice since he was on his break. As he was finished with my transaction, he saw another person walk up to the original lane we both just left....he called out to that customer to ask if he could help them as well....meanwhile, the other cashier was still helping the boy & his mom with balloons. I guess you get what you pay for ... Customer service is a thing of the past. Found out today that if you don't purchase one of their bags and bring your own, you fill your own... I loaded my things onto the belt along with my bag I then proceeded to put their cart back where it belongs and came back to pay with my ATM card, when I finished he was finished with me and already moved on scanning the next costumer. I looked surprised and he told me " there is paper to wrap your glassware right there" to which I happily filled my last bag here. Hope, the manager, told me today that if you buy a bag they will fill it but if you bring your own, it's just a Courtesy if we have time .... unbelievable... I work next door but will drive out of my way to the dollar tree that still values their customers .. This is a great store to pick up items like decorative stones for a vase and Crayola bath paint for $1. I also buy Comet, art supplies, and Myler balloons. I avoid the cheapy toys, but say yes to tubes of Krazy Glue. Stock up on inexpensive party supplies and random household items. read more

Dollar Tree is what it is - $1. The checkout is getting painfully slow, as they almost never staff more than 1 checker. I believe it's a "new management thing" at this store. They also have bad hygiene on when they close. I love the fact that the whole store is a dollar. That is why it is called the dollar tree. They almost always have what you are looking for.
