RACIST WORKER ALERT She was so unprofessional disrespectful…read morecursing and getting agitated simple for asking the total of the prices being rung up sp far she stopped and looked at my mother and said if she rings the rest fo the stuff on there which she understood as if we're taking it all and which was a yes just wanted to know how much was so far (with only the handful of items that were from someone else but under the same transaction before it all became a total and having to pick out the receipt) She then after 4 times of saying she wants this on there saids the total and I politely said "thank you, that's all I wanted to know" she the starts to get disrespectful and reminds me that my mother had said she wanted it all on there and I said yes but I wanted to see how much the total for those items before the rest of things was and she then started with her rant on how she don't need this job its her part time and quote "fuck this job, I don't need it this is just something for me to do" and I said ma'am youre on that side of the register I work customer service too and you're being unprofessional and ignorant cursing and arguing over a price check in front of at least 3 kids around and she then tells me how shes an adult and she doesn't need to be shit talking with me and which to I still try to escalate things again and say ma'am you're old enough to be my grandmother or aunt and you're cursing and getting loud when you choose to take this job and shes going on and on to why im even there and then stops and said you want the stuff or not im not the one to be tried and I quote again said "I CAN MAKE A CALL AND THEY CAN BE WAITING FOR YOUR FATASS OUTSIDE" to when I said excuse me you're threatening me after you see my color and your I am brown and in this day and age we're black n brown unite and she then giggles and said "you're not brown you're Hispanic that's why they're gonna be waiting for you outside" that was completely uncalled for and to make thinga worst when she had started on her racist rant there was an interracial couple ( a Latina young lady and a black young man) with 2 toddlers and an infant next to us and I was just floored. The next person being rung up next to us after the couple left stepped in and commented how she needed to continue doing her job and she's doing the most and its disgustingly racist to which the worker KATRINA didnt respond to her. I asked for the manager on the clock which was a nice man with dreadlocks and as nice as he's always been being that we've started to go to that store since it opened so we've seen him before n he rung us out before as well today he was completely useless and it might be because it was a busy time or they just had enough of that lady and her rants because when I started to speak she started to curse and talk over me which he had to tell her to stop and keep doing her job MIND YOU SHE STILL RINGING MY stuff and my mother teenage sister and toddler son asking why she's being rude why shes saying bad words why shes calling me fat body shaming me and threatening with what we can only assume is ice giving the days we're all living in now in the country and needing to stick together. I had to sit there and tell my 4 year old that we don't say bad things to people or bad words and to never argue with someone whose older than him in the mean time while my mother in the verge of tears telling her teenager not to comment on the matter that sometimes people are just cruel and unprofessional. I was given nothing but the lady name from the receipt from the lady after the manager didn't let me get through HALF of the things that happened and said he will talk to his boss tomorrow and that's it. NO APOLOGIES NO GUIDANCE ON WHO OR WHERE I CAN CALL AND COMPLAIN OR WHAT WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT nothing nothing nothing nothing I had to ask the security guy who again we're regulars and we know familiar faces and vise versa gave me more information where I can reach out to Burlington and go from there. its so unbelievable I have never felt so unsafe and disrespected before

Bottom Line: Classic fashions with a contemporary twist but this store could be better organized…read moreand staffed. The J. Crew Factory store offers men's and women's fashions as well as "Crew Cuts" clothing for children. The clothes range from screen print tees for the weekend to fun dresses for date night. The outlet is definitely less expensive than the regular, full price store but I don't think there are any bargains here. I feel like the clothes here are similar to the Banana Republic outlet but 20% or so pricier, even factoring in sales prices. Grant it, I was here on a Saturday afternoon but the store was messy. I found three blouses I liked but they were between $60 and $70 and some of the only items not on sale. I wanted to ask an employee if they were on sale by chance but I couldn't find anyone. Well, come to find out, they were on sale but the racks (three different racks) didn't have proper signage! So instead of buying shirts at the store, I left empty handed and was frustrated to see on the internet, once I got home, that they were on sale. :-(

When I first entered the store, I wasn't greeted by the woman I assumed was either the manager, supervisor, or a sales associate. She was standing near the front talking with a customer she appeared to know. I made eye contact with her, but there was no acknowledgment or offer of assistance. I spent some time browsing near the front of the store, and she never stopped to ask if I needed help. First impressions matter, and honestly, that wasn't a great one. I eventually made my way to the back of the store, browsed the sale section, and then headed to the register. Thankfully, the gentleman working the counter was much more helpful. I was looking for a particular sweater and thought some of their sweaters might have been cashmere (I think I had seen something about it on TikTok, lol). He suggested I check the front of the store. However, after browsing, I realized the options weren't really what I had in mind. I ended up purchasing a sweater for my wife and a shirt for myself. What really sealed the experience for me was when I was leaving. The woman I initially encountered had finally finished her conversation, and we crossed paths, but there wasn't even a simple "Have a good day." Overall, the prices were reasonable, and I did appreciate the gentleman's assistance. However, I believe customer service should match the shopping experience and the prices you're asking customers to pay. A simple greeting, acknowledgment, or offer to help goes a long way. Maybe this particular store just isn't for me, but unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired.

This is precisely why I don't like shopping in this area. I had such an AMAZING experience from the…read morestore next door, that I decided to give this place a try. Bad decision. There were probably 3-4 people working the floor, not one spoke. They all busied themselves as if customers were mannequin props. I shopped anyway (lending to the idea that this kind of treatment or lack there of, is okay. I watched as people in front of me checked out. No words exchanged, just hand gestures that said, "give me your money" or "here take your things." I realllllly needed that cheap jewelry, as the event I had to attend was only hours away. I looked on and became more and more aware that I couldn't be part of this foolishness. I later noted that people were leaving their bags at the front and there was no dressing room. I assume shoppers can only be trusted to shop but they can certainly be expected to steal. This made my stomach ache. I left and went back next door to where I was treated with grandest of customer service.

They have no fucking business knowing whom I am, my age or where I live. My advice: pay in cash unless you want to be humiliated. No one, I repeat, no one should be asking for your id unless your a law enforcer. I'm truly sorry but that's how I feel. I'll shop there from here on out only if I have cash.
