Ordered by mail a womens sweatshirt and needed to return item for a different size. I followed the…read moreinstructions for exchanges; required a form (said find it below) form was not there so I included order number and other pertinent information in the returned item. Sent it back to the Aggieville store in Manhattan as indicated. I have not had any response after 3 weeks so called the number listed for Rally, it is not the tele number for the Aggieville store rather a central number 913.340.7002. Was told by Rally respondent that I needed a tracking order for the item sent back in order to get a refund; there was nothing, NOTHING, in the instructions that said I needed to keep the tracking receipt. To bad, according to the Rally respondent, you loose. Follow the instructions written on their website and YOU LOOSE. I will NEVER order from them again.

Having Rally House here is a breath of fresh air. Varney's was a wonderful 136 year tradition, but…read moreit was not affordable for students. Upon walking in today, I was very impressed with the selection of K-State items and apparel. The women's section started at the front of the store and continued towards the back. There were plenty of men's and children's clothing options, housewares, jewelry, scarves, and everything you can imagine to show K-State Pride. There are also areas with Royals and Chiefs gear. The Rally House locations in KC and Lawrence have gear for other colleges (I have gotten K-State stuff in Lawrence in fact!) but here is a K-State exclusive spot. Who needs KU colors in here anyway to ruin the view? The prices though make this place worth celebrating. A zip hoodie at Varney's was $90+ and here it is $40! A cute tee or tank at Varney's was $60-70 and here it is $20-30. I applaud Rally House for bringing in a wide range of items at affordable prices.

    Hy-Vee - Outside of Hy-Vee

I'm a little surprised to find myself giving a Hy-Vee a four star rating in 2025 to be honest. Over…read morethe years my opinion on Hy-Vee in general has gone somewhat downhill for a variety of reasons, but my biggest quip is that it's just super expensive for no reason. That is actually still the case at this location in Manhattan, KS, but it's still an above average Hy-Vee, and I'll get to that soon. The first thing you'll notice at this Hy-Vee is that it's large, it appears to be fairly new, or at least very well maintained, but it looks like any old Hy-Vee from the outside. We stopped here as my mother in law lives in Manhattan and we were on the hunt for a veggie tray to take to our family Christmas. We walked in and despite living near a big modern Hy-Vee in Overland Park, this one really puts ours to shame in terms of feeling updated and fresh. We found the veggie trays and they were all beautifully put together and fresh. The thing that was terribly upsetting? They were also $25. With no other options we purchased it at that price. I was wondering if veggie trays are just this expensive now, and for the record, I went grocery shopping at Costco and Whole Foods in the KC metro the next week and found veggie trays at Costco to be around $10 and believe it or not veggie trays at WHOLE FOODS to be around $12 - so less than half their counterpart at a central Kansas Hy-Vee. Honestly stunning. Aside from the prices this is an excellent grocery store. If I lived here I'd likely return as they had way more prepared foods than ours does, and it seemed well stocked with fresh produce. They also still had self checkout which I love.
