I love Target, especially their beauty section. A bit out of my price range for regular/grocery shopping, but if I have any beauty or toiletry items to get, this is one of my go-to places. I had been coming to this target for years and I always thought the Environment was great until I heard how the manager April talks down to other employees as well as having my own personal experience with her. I've witnessed it three times. Also my bestfriend's son and daughter both use to work there and they said they never had a issue with any manager but her. It's been said that she's very Nitpicky, condescending, she makes people feel like they can't do their job right and from personal experience when I asked her where something was she seemed like she had a attitude. People like her shouldn't be in management positions, especially when you make those in lower positions feel as though they aren't moving as fast as you'd like or like they can't do their job right. Hello, I was at the Manhattan, KS Target store today at about 2:15 p.m. There were several employees stocking the shelves in the Groceries Section. I was in Section G14 and there was a young man with dark brown hair as well as a dark brown moustache and a dark brown beard who was wearing a long-sleeved Chiefs sweatshirt and overalls. He was taking Tyson's Chicken Strips off the shelves and throwing them directly on the dirty floor as he restocked the shelves!!! He made a loud racket as he slammed the FOOD items (probably more than 15 items) down on the floor like he was tossing dirty laundry on an apartment floor or spiking a football! I basically stood there and stared, saying to myself: "Those must be items that have been recalled or are past the expiration date and he is just throwing them out? He certainly wouldn't be putting those items back on the shelf!!!??? Indeed, at the end, he picked up these Tyson's Chicken Strips OFF THE DIRTY FLOOR AND PUT THEM RIGHT BACK ON THE SHELF!! (Apparently, the purpose of this was to put the items with the earliest expiration date near the front and was too lazy and/or indifferent to get a cart!!!) Frankly, this was absolutely appalling!!! There were probably at least four other stockers who were working in adjacent aisles. I did not see them throwing stuff on the floor, but they also weren't telling him to stop doing this. I know it was very strange that he didn't seem to think he was even doing anything wrong!!! To be honest, this lamebrain should be promptly fired!!! If he is that stupid and you have to explain to him why this is wrong (particularly with food items!!!), he's probably way too stupid to be working for you or anybody else anyways!!! I SHOULD BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT!!! WHAT AN OBVIOUS AND TOTALLY GROSS HEALTH VIOLATION!!! read more

I was visiting your area for a friend's birthday party and had never been to your store before. I have to say I was very impressed with its organization and how nice the employees were. The women's clothing section was very neat and organized. I worked for Target a couple years ago as a seasonal employee and that clearance area in soft lines can be a BEAR to keep tidy. Everything in the women's clothing area was "as it should be" and the employees greeted me when I was looking around. The electronics section....I was looking for a screen protector for my Samsung. Unfortunately your store carries mainly for IPhones, but the employee was very helpful in trying to find something for me before we decided I needed to order something online. While food shopping, I found everything well-stocked, neat, and organized. The entire shopping experience was very pleasurable and a joy! Checking out, I met Ms. Barbara....who really is beyond kind, and has this spirit about her that is wonderful! She is in the perfect job doing checkout as she can have guests leave the store smiling, feeling good about their purchases, and, even if it is a frazzled parent with a small child, have a moment of joy talking to Barbara. I had to split my order in two and she was gracious about that as well as helping me decide if I had gotten enough items for the party. The guest before me did not know about the App or Target Circle (I have the red card from when I worked for Target and use the App as well as Target Circle quite often). Barbara took a moment to inform the guest about it and how beneficial it would be for that guest. I highly recommend the store manager take a moment to recognize not only Barbara but all of your employees with the exemplary job they are doing, especially in these tough times! read more

I LOVE this Target shoe department! If you haven't checked out Target shoes, you really need to go today! Super-stylish and comfortable while rarely costing more than $30ish, often less. I always get compliments on the uniquely patterned flats I buy here. Also the associates all over the store consistently stop to ask if I need help, which always surprises me since personal service like that is pretty rare these days. And even when I don't always need it, they offer to walk me to whatever it is I was asking about. I especially appreciate the diversity this store shows in their hiring. The team they have is a wonderful reflection of Manhattan! The recent remodel has the store looking great, btw! Keep up the great work! read more

My favorite place to shop For last minute food for kids shoes and clothes, work out gear, presents, art project supply's for kids, hygiene products, a pan, place mats etc etc etc you can bet everything on it that I will be looking for it at "my" target store ;))) super friendly staff... Target's In-Store Pickup service is such a failure it's almost impressive. It takes a lot of skill to screw up something so simple. It's faster to just go in, find what you need, pay and leave. Few, if any, employees ever have the slightest idea what's going on or what they're supposed to do. In-Store Pickup is so disorganized that it can often take 20-30 minutes to pick up 1 item. Employees can't use their equipment properly and ALWAYS have to call for assistance. This, however, is not the fault of the employees. It is a pathetic example of disturbingly poor management. Do yourself s favor. Have items shipped to your door or wander around the store looking for an item no one can find -- which requires assistance. Apparently, such incompetence requires assistance. This location is a mile away from my house so anything last minute i get from here. That being said my 4 month old wouldn't sleep so i went to get a crib soother i saw on their website. It was listed at 35.99 but the price tag on the shelf was 44.99. I went to customer service for check out and they price matched it no problem. I was in and out in 10 minutes! I love target! But this location is the best! One tip though sometimes the baby section is bare. They would be out of stock on everything then sometimes they have everything you could possibly think of. read more

Overall, I like Target--just not this particular store. It's been remodeled recently, so there are many basic and fun options....only the items I'm looking for are often out of stock. Could someone please order more shorts, skirts, t-shirts and cute sweaters in Girl's Large? This store's environmental stewardship has also tanked. Before the remodel, this Target had recycling bins for batteries, plastic bags, mixed goods, and paper. Now, concern for the environment seems to be so Pre-Trump era....which doesn't help reduce waste or give customers options for recycling. However, this Target has started carrying more organic health and beauty products. Staff are usually courteous, but the clientele...if I had a dollar for every time a parent screamed at their kids, called them names, or loudly humiliated them, I'd be a rich woman. So I have to brace myself before entering the store because the clientele seems to have forgotten basic social niceties, like respect, even though in my experience, the staff has always been polite. The new Starbucks is clean, pretty, and good (they decorate the cake pops on the spot!). My verdict: this Target often has useful and nice things, employees are helpful, but be prepared for abrasive customers. read more
