Paid $3100 for a couch. Over a month later, parts of it were delivered but they were missing the complete set and one piece had the fabric damaged by the knife they used to cut the plastic off. I noticed it and asked them to replace it. The delivery guy said, "That part will be covered by the remaining piece once we deliver it." I said "Absolutely not! I paid $3100 for a couch I want what I paid for. Especially having kids that will find that and hide their toys in it eventually and rip it wider." They told me they would order them and I would wait another 2-3 weeks for the final pieces to arrive. I tried calling but they never called back. Texted the number but very rarely texted back. Then, they said they accidentally ordered the wrong part but "they found a replacement". I automatically assumed that they decided to send me the floor model. Sure enough, they delivered me the floor model. I knew because it was faded and not wrapped like the other pieces were when they were delivered. I sent them back catching with the floor model and said I want what I paid for. They offered to call the store to work it out when I demanded that I should call them. I went back in my house but my cameras caught them talking to their manager on speaker and were complaining about how the replacement piece "didn't fool me". They told me they had to order a new one then, uh duh! Will never return. Will drive elsewhere and tell them the same experience and hope that this store does a revamp of their employees. read more

If i could give this place a negative score i would. They are never busy then tell me it will take five weeks to send items. Then they won't allow full refund if cancel. Fuck this place. read more

If you're looking to purchase new furniture I would highly not recommend this store. I bought a few new pieces such as a living room set, bed and a fireplace on June 12. I was new to town therefore I had to purchase the furniture out of state and I contacted Ashley several times to make sure that everything was going well and have information on the delivery and making sure not thing was broke. Jackie the one I signed my contract with. On one of our calls when I was looking for a update status she had alerted me that my fireplace had some damages. At this time I was disappointed but she said she would send me pictures. However Jackie did not send me any pictures, therefore I had no status of my damaged fireplace ! OK a few months go by and I give them a call because it's supposed to be time for delivery. I called and spoke to Jackie to confirm my delivery time once again and update on my furniture since Jackie failed to give me an update on my damaged fireplace. But I had no choice but to trust them. While I was on our call Jackie was speaking to another associate, about possibly not replacing the items that were damaged since it was a fireplace Consol and maybe the fireplace could cover it up, I immediately stop them and said I would need to have those items fixed because I paid full price and I do not need to have items that are damaged. She had informed me that I could call whenever I was ready to have my furniture delivered at this time I was even more disappointed because she failed to tell me the schedule she said I can call anytime but in fact that would not be the case I was now going to be the last delivery and again I have issues with my furniture being damaged. I expressed these feelings towards her and I asked her again to send me the pictures in which I did not receive any. My furniture finally arrives home at 5:30. Jackie gives me a call and asked me if I'm going to except a delivery, I said yes but They need to fix those damaged pieces like she stated. I called Ashley home store again once I saw that 3 shelves were damaged instead of two like they told me however jackie denied to speak to me, one of male associates stated to me. I ask to speak to the manager since she denied my call then the male associate said he did not know the managers name! I am frustrated and said I would call back tomorrow because the furniture arrived so late that the Ashley store was now closed. When I called in the morning I spoke to a different associate and they gave me a number so that I can text to get those items fixed. They said they we get those fixed for me and it is now February and I still have a damage fireplace and Ashley home store stop responding. This is the worst experience I've ever dealt with. I highly recommend not purchasing your furniture here. The customer service is terrible and also if they damage your items they will not repair them. I can't believe that as soon as I said I accepted shipment Jackie denied my call. This just shows that they only care about numbers and not at all about their customers. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered furniture late September to be delivered mid October. A couple of days prior to delivery, Ashley Furniture rep calls to say one part of the bed was incorrect so they would have to order it from the manufacturer. It would take two months to receive. Ok big problem, I chose the particular set because the sales manager stated it would be available in two to three weeks. I would have chosen a similar set that was 2000 less but would have taken 6-8 weeks to receive. Manager says I will refund delivery charges and 10% off sale if I still wanted the set. Ok, not unreasonable. I took it. Well three months later the bed is to be delivered. First, delivery crew was rude and impatient in the delivery, second the hard ware was not with the bed and one of the drawers to the bed was damaged, they would have to return the following day to assemble the bed and replace the drawer. Next day, the delivery crew brought the wrong part to replace and after assembling one portion of the bed found the foot board defective. They would have to return a 3rd time. I called sales manager, he says let me see what I can do and he would call me back the following day. The sales manager did not call me back. After the customer service rep called to reschedule the assembly, the sales manager stated he will provide an additional 10% off. Not good enough, the delivery crew complained about the work load the entire time they delivered the products, it has taken 4 deliveries to complete the order for 1 bedroom set and the manager seems to be annoyed when asked to provide quality service. I have brought furniture from Ashley Furniture in El Paso TX many times and had good customer service this experience will be the last time I ever buy from this company. Im very disappointed with Ashley Furniture Manhattan KS, all my furniture is from Ashley (Texas), I've been their customer for more than 10 years, but Ashley Furniture in Manhattan is a joke..I bought in September 19 my set of couches, they told me it will take approximately 10 weeks maybe early, they never mention more than that...and i just got a phone call from them tellimg me that i have to wait 6 to 7 more weeks to get my delivery!!! Unacceptable, where does my family sit?? Then i told them that they have to give me a couch until my order is ready to delivery and then they offered some couches, but i had to pay $300.000 dolars if I want one specific...that is pathetic!!....actually I deserved a discount or something for all this extra time and all this inconvenience!!! read more

Update: Repairman was on time, actually arriving at 10:50 for an 11:00 appt. Fixed the 2 drawers that were not sitting flush and repaired the tiny splintered back leg. Was polite and hard working. Finished in about 15 minutes. read more

Expensive furniture store but that is because of its selection of high quality furniture, although, there is the occasional lower quality pieces found there from time to time. The salespersons are very respectful and courteous as well as very knowledgable on certain types of furniture. If you are looking for new, higher quality furniture that you are willing to spend money on, then this is the store for you. If you currently have a tight budget then I would not recommend this store at all. read more

Don't buy anything from this store. They don't keep anything in inventory. You have to order furniture . I bought s bed and dropped almost 2 grand on it. It took a month just for it to arrive to the store. And now they are telling me they can't deliver it for another 2 and a half weeks! Sick of sleeping on my couch... plus they only deliver furniture on weekdays between 1-5 pm and you have to be home. They take no consideration for us working folks. Janice was great and really motivated to get us into the right furniture. We ordered a bedroom set at the end of it. This is where the confusion set in. We were told by the salesperson that our delivery date was the 13th. When I called the store after not hearing from Ashley for delivery confirmation on the 13th I was told that was our estimated contact date and we would be called sometime this week to schedule delivery. Not once during the purchase time was this week explained and we left the store with the thought of having a new bedroom set on the 13th not waiting for a phone call. read more

I have only had great success with Ashley Home Store in Manhattan. I am shocked how others have given bad reviews. I have worked with Keifer and Andrea there a couple of times, and they have always been wonderful answering all of the many questions that I have. They are very friendly and very easy to work with. I now can just call them and order what I want over the phone with ease (seeing that I live an hour away)! They have always been on time for delivery and it is a quick turn around time from order to having them put it together in my home. Very friendly and so easy to work with! Delivery BOYS arrived late, they had no tools to ASSEMBLE my headboard. Brought up bolts that were 3 times too large and when I told them they wouldn't work they said, well we'll have to come back from Manhattan to bring new ones. I told them to look in their truck and see if they had smaller sizes. The driver of the truck was very belligerent and rude. I proceeded to contact customer service Cinthia S (responded email) and I was told that I was supposed to buy the bolts in addition to my headboard and that there was nothing they could do whatsoever about them being late. Pray tell, what did I spend $99 on delivery and assembly on. This is my 4th and final purchase with this store. My 2 chairs are falling apart and the couch looks like it's a hundred years old instead of 6 months. The quality of their stuff is crap. So I guess they don't have ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE or CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY JUST LOST THIS ONE. ::DO NOT SHOP HERE:: after my fiance and i purchased a couch they told us to wait almost 3 weeks out for our couch to be delivered.(we just moved into an apt so our living room would be bare for those 3 weeks mind you) with a little hesitation we agreed cause we really enjoyed the couch so after the date had approached we waited two hours after the time it was supposed to arrive we called for them to tell us that 'they had been meaning to call us' (they had THREE WEEKS TO CONTACT US) and proceeded to give us 3 different LATER dates our couch was to be delivered.. This store relays promises they do not keep,they will tell you one thing than go back on their word. the manager Andrea is very unhelpful and isn't confrontational.
