I walk in and place was dimly lit... its was like 11am one Saturday morning. The store was a hot mess.. no sense of organization. Floors were cluttered and dirty. Who knows when the floor saw a mop. They sell a lot hba stuff at discounted prices. I didn't stay that long because it was too dusty inside.

The selection wasn't as good as other Gabe's I've been too, and it seems like they are trying to cram so much stuff in a smaller space, so much that you have hardly any room to navigate your shopping cart. The staff there was friendly, and I did find a few things but not quite all that I was looking for.

Rugged Warehouse use to be in this exact location but I'm not sure if the prices are similar or less. The customer service on the other hand was horrible! They had one person at the register while the other two were chatting on the side. Another reviewer complained about the same issue so I hope they get it together and provide decent service for their customers. However, this fine grocery store had not closed, and rather, it closed briefly about 3 years ago and then moved just a short distance from its old location on West Patrick Street, and popped up again in short order at 45 Waverly Drive, less than a block from its old location (which had been near the intersection of West Patrick St. and Waverly Dr.) and still to the north of West Patrick St. So, this grocery store is still open, and doing fine, and it seems to use both the shortened name Indian Bazaar and the longer name Frederick Bazaar - Indian-Pak Grocery Store. Currently the hours are 10 AM to 8:30 PM, according to the store manager with whom I spoke on Jan. 20, 2016. BTW, the current primary phone # for the store is (301) 668-8899. The old phone # (ending in 2090), for the old location, which still shows on the older (CLOSED) Yelp listing, is no longer the correct number. I submitted some edits to Yelp on Jan. 22, 2016 to enable the creation of this new listing for the shop, one which updates the name of the shop, and also corrects the street address and the phone number. This is a very good grocery store that offers an excellent selection of Indian and Pakistani and related grocery items, including a large array of refrigerated and frozen foods. In my experience, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and when I called the other day just to be sure that they are still open (I was last in the store a few months ago), the older man who answered the phone was very helpful. And, during a recent visit to the shop on Jan. 22, 2016, even though the shop was incredibly crowded, the staff was very calm and helpful. Incidentally, all of the prices here seem to be very inexpensive. To my best knowledge, this is still the only Indian and Pakistani grocery store in Frederick MD. Yes, there are one -- and sometimes two (the number fluctuates) -- general Asian markets located in Frederick, and each of them do claim to offer at least a small selection of Indian foods, but neither of them offers the vast array of Indian and Pakistani foods that are offered by Indian Bazaar, aka Frederick Bazaar - Indian-Pak Grocery Store! Very good store!

There's one employee Sherry who seems to particularly embody the old world values of true customer service. When she heard I was having trouble looking for something, she proactively came to action to help. They didn't have what I was looking for, but tried checking other area stores for me before my having to drive all over the city. She also said if the other stores didn't have what I wanted, I could order online and pick things up from her store. No stores had things in stock, so I ordered them online which took a few weeks. Yet when I arrived to pick up my items, Sherry remembered who I was and promptly brought out my purchase. I ended up happily buying even more things from the store than I had even planned. Great service, great attitude, great all-around person, too! Thanks for having a great employee like Sherry and for having a great selection of products!
