I realized that none of your stores even have a phone number to call. This is very poor. Which leads me to your app/website. It is NOT user friendly. I had to spend quite a bit of my valuable time combing through, not only your site, but also reviews on other sites as well, Instagram, YouTube, etc. I work very hard for my money and I want to be a good steward with it. I had to go through your difficult to navigate site again, this time to report a missing item. There used to be several Muji locations in California, but they all closed due to the downturn in business from COVID and expensive leases. I visited this Muji store 4 times in as many days, wandering through to admire all the beautifully made and practical household goods and also trying to figure out what I could fit in my carry-on suitcase for my return trip. This store is huge, but nicely laid out. The sections are clearly marked from travel goods to clothing to personal care to household items to furniture to stationary. And there are plenty of staff milling about, restocking and folding, who can help you if you are looking for a particular item. The store wasn't very busy on weekday afternoons and evenings, but I noticed that it got a lot of foot traffic on Saturday. And on the hot weekend that I was in Portland, it was also very nice to step inside the air conditioned environs for a rest. They were also handing out samples of some of the snacks! Customer service at Muji was friendly and adequate. The staff working in the fitting room area were especially helpful. It would've been great to have more fitting rooms available, as the line moved slowly and took up a good chunk of time. You are also limited to bringing in 5 items at a time but you can swap out items as needed. I ended up purchasing multiple tops and a few pants for everyday wear.
